Glowing at the sky through the leafless tree limbs, he grumbled some before looking for a cave. "I think one of the mares mentioned a near by cave... some where... close.. shouldn't bee to far I hope.." He winced as the frozen pebbled bit into his fur, stinging flesh. Fluff or no that still hurt. "No.. This is the first I've seen it do this.. He should hurry up..." He flattened his ears close to his head so that they wouldn't be so easy to be hit with the hail.
He picked up his pace at the first sight of possible shelter. It wasn't far off, he didn't care what it held inside so long as it was dry. "Hurry! I think I see something ahead!" He ad to shout to be sure she'd heard him as another crack of thunder rumbled over head.

"I'm hurrying, I'm hurrying." She was too, not wanting to get hit anymore by the hail. This was much worse than the sandstorms she was used to dealing with, and she darted into the cave when they came to it.
It was empty thankfully, with no mountain lion or bear making shelter in it, and she panted as she calmed down. "That was exciting."

He followed in after her, eying the sky from the mouth of the cave as he shook the water from his coat. "Sure was.. Doesn't look like it'll be letting up any time soon either.." With a small sigh he shook his head and went further into the cave. "We should try to stay warm.. the wind's bound to pick up and start dragging biting air in here.. not to mention that we're wet... " Settling down, he lay on the cave floor and kept an eye at the opening.

Masika chuckled. "Well, guess we're just stuck in here until it's over." It wasn't that bad though, not staying in the cave with him, and she couldn't help but grin. Apparently she had made the right choice, leaving her desert home, and now she even had a sign from the desert gods to prove it.
She laid down next to him, nuzzling him playfully. They would dry off soon enough, and she didn't think the wind would get that bad, but she wasn't about to say no for an excuse to cuddle Fluffy. This wasn't a bad way to spend an icky afternoon.

Nuzzling her in return, he nipped at her mane a bit. "Well, looks like we should look for some way to pass the time." The rain's pitter patter outside was lulling.. soothing... Settling in he thought maybe a nap would do.. after all.. they couldn't very well go outside.. a lazy day a lazy moment. Closing his eyes for a moment, he slowly drifted off, warm and soothed by the rain falling.~Fin~
