He encouraged her to hold still then moved to try and pop the wing back in place. Hopefully that was possible for her, if nothing else. He didn't want to have to ask for the large male to move from his station at the cave's entrance.

She licked her lips and nodded her head. "Okay," she murmured and tried to brace herself as much as she could. She didn't want him to touch her wing, but she knew he had to. She was already in pain, so how could a little more be any worse, right?
Wrong.
It was far worse. She did her best to stay still, but when he pushed her wing towards its socket, she cried out in agony. It wasn't just a little more pain, it was /a lot/ more pain. More than she could have imagined. She had been dazed from the pain before, now she was quite alert from the intensifying of it. If the lady would ever cuss, now would've been the time.

He hated this part. Part of healing was to make people feel better. He knew well that if he didn't do this, and cause the pain, the wound would not heal, but that didn't make it much easier.
He felt the wing pop back into it's socket and relaxed.

Closing her eyes, she curled up tighter, and willed herself not to sob. That had hurt more than when it had come out of the socket, she was sure. It would be better in the end though. She didn't know this healer, but she trusted him. It was his job by definition to take care of people after all.
"Thank you," she murmured.

"I'm afraid I won't be able to do much for the rest until the sun rises..." he frowned. "Can you sleep, at least?"

"I can try," she said with a sigh. She gave him a very small smile, and then turned her head to try to see Dante at the front of the cave. "Will you be staying the night?"

Dante's light faded and he turned back, "Yes. It would be a wasted effort to be negligant now."

She nodded to the healer, then looked back at Dante. "I meant you," she murmured softly, feeling her cheeks grow red. She found herself wanting his company. Imagine that.

Both of Dante's ears stood errect, pointing directly at her. What on earth was she going on about? Perhaps she was dilusional... He frowned, face obscured by the shadows.
"Of course..."

She smiled at that and set her head down again, closing her eyes. "Good," she murmured. The pain in her wing had subsided to a much duller ache and she thought she could manage sleep. Still, she hoped the morning would come quick. It was kind of chilly in that cave.

Early morning Dante had done a patrol of the area, checking for any signs that either of the two goons from yesterday had followed them. When he found nothing he went back to the cave. The healer was ready to go so he thanked him, promising to return the favour if it was ever required.

Ravyn's wing still hurt, but it was much better. She was much more alert today, and while she was still lying, she was no longer sprawled on the ground. She looked much better, and she thanked the healer for it. She was very grateful to him.

Dante stopped at the entrance and peared inside the cave, "Ravyn?"
He was sure she was there, but he wasn't sure if she was awake.

When she heard Dante call her name, her ears flicked forward and she tried to get to her feet so she could go greet him. She made a few attempts, but she was still weak. She finally resigned herself to staying on the ground.
"Hello Dante."

He made no remark on her feeble attempts to stand. She was just as aware of her condition as he was.
"Good day, Ravyn. Are you hungry?"
