There is no debate between the two, as both characters are simply...Ugh. They make RP characters you guys, debate over those peeps. rofl This comment is purely opinion, and unless this post is backed with facts it will be considered stricken from the record. ((Stick a muzzle on my character, will you??? blaugh ))
In Bleach, No one says that Ichigo needs to calm down, finish school, and let the Adults deal with the worlds problems.
Those kids are going to get killed! or grow up to become criminals/become depressed or suffer other mental issues.Yeah, because trying to bring your mom back from the dead but creating a abomination while your brother I'd turned into a walking suit of armor isn't traumatizing

Okay guys, it seems the Edward Elrich is on top barely, with Ichigo being mildly argued for, and Bobobo . . . whatever, is lagging behind in third. Is this how you want it to end?!?!?!
If no more posting of worth happens between now and 1-12-11, then I'll have no choice but to declare Edward Elrich the WINNER!

I say Edward. He has a better story, past, and he seems more likely to be hte hero. He's not doing this because of faith he has a goal that he needs to achieve. Now I love bleach to death, but Ichigo kinda just walked into it. Yeah, a holllow attacked his house, but doens't mean you was suppose to go to the SS and save everyone. and kick Byakuyas a**. *cough*

I dont know much about the other character but i have a lot of very good reasons why ichigo sucks.
1) Ichigo's zanpakuto has only 2 special abilities, it makes him fast and he can use Getsuga Tenshou.
And now my problems with these two techniques.
1.1) Ichigo's so called 'amazing' speed is constantly outmatched after he rescues Rukia from Soul Society by nearly every opponent he faces.
1.2) The Getsuga Tenshou unless used at very close range either misses or does no damage at all yet again after he rescues Rukia. And when it does hit, Ichigo is usualy exhausted and his opponent can always still fight back!
2) The power levels in bleach got messed up when ichigo gained an inner hollow. Ok i understand a shinigami turning into a full hollow with Ichigo's power it would be strong but! He fights Ulquiorra and gets killed TWICE! in the same way! and second time he dies he becomes the hollow and kills Ulquiorra The 4TH Espada.
My point is Byakuya and Kenpachi can kill Espada number 0 (the strongest Espada) with little effort and Ichigo has to die twice to beat the 4th? the essential make-up of him as a character is messed up.
3) No surprises at all, the most annoying thing about him. He is always the same, his sword was constantly released in shikai (yet it had no special power except Getsuga Tenshou) then he learned Bankai which he then used in every single fight from then on. Most annoyingly of all he never learns any new powers even in Bankai!
He has a Hollow mask but all that does is make him stronger, he is just the same person with a mask and different voice his fights are immensely boring because he has nothing new to show. I look forward to seeing his opponents powers then hope the fight ends quick before he has one of his huge poinltess conversations with them

What you say makes Ichigo a better hero. 1) He fights for others, not his self. 2) He did just walk into it. He tried to save his family, and in the proccess was thrust into this world. From there, he sacrificed himself almost to go and save complete strangers. That makes him more of a hero then Ed could ever try to become in my opinion. Ed only does what he does for himself and his brother. When he saves his brother and his self, he will probaably quit state alchemy, and go off with winry.
