Oh he gloated alright, stood right up there grinning down at her mockingly. Normal Scheelite was gone (normal by his standards, of course), replaced with the much more aggressive personality that Zinkenite had run into more times than he wanted. Hyde, he called it, or rather Schyde. It only reared it's ugly head when the blonde was in an overly stressful situation.

This counted.

He continued to gloat even as she started to get up. Even when she grabbed him by the collar he wasn't alarmed one bit. It was only when her hand suddenly shoved inside his chest and wrapped around his starseed that he thought maybe, just maybe, he should be concerned.

Do you feel that, she asked. The rest of the words were lost on him, eyes growing wide and distant as he found himself someplace far away from here.

"Do you ******** feel that?"
He had felt it alright, the utter perversion of a hand -inside- his chest and wrapped around something he didn't understand but instinctively knew was precious. It was wrong, WRONG for this stranger to be so close, to be grabbing whatever it was that resided in his chest. It hurt, burned, even more so as the stranger did -something- to it.

"That's the power of the Negaverse. You WILL ******** accept it, and you -will- give your life to the Dark Kingdom."
He had squirmed, try to fight off the corruption. But no matter how hard he struggled and pushed and fought no one could fight off the darkening of their own soul. Not like this.

Scheelite never talked about his joining night...because he had never wanted it. It was yet another lie to the pile. Another shame to hide.

Back in the present Scheelite had fallen on his knees, gasping and grabbing at her arm to no avail. The last hand that had so distinctly wrapped it's self around his starseed had been that of Charonite's on the night of his corruption. He had fought and in some ways it led to the beginning of his time in the Negaverse being such a long confusing struggle. He had, of course, come to grips with being in the Negaverse and even accepted it. Some days...he wondered though.

"L-let...go."
The fire in his eyes had burned out, the blonde just as lost and confused as he had been on that night a little over a year ago.

The very emotions running through Schee's mind would be lost on her. She didn't remember her turning, the only person who knew what really happened was locked in a crystal. She supposed Beryl knew, but would she ever tell? Probably not. The pain of loosing Ursula, her friend, her first mentor left an ache in her heart. Perhaps that was close enough to what Schee felt right now.

What ever had gotten into Schee, what ever possessed him to strike her the way he did was gone, or at least sedated, then again anyone would stop fighting the moment someone reached through their chest to grab the very core of their existence. She stared into those lost eyes. Maybe looking somewhere into the past. "No, I'm not letting go till you swear, you swear to shape up." Her voice was ragged and stuttered, god her ribs hurt. Some must have been broken, and even then a few must be bruised on top of it. Lowered down onto one knee she continued to hold his starseed, fingers gently tracing every edge as they knelt on the ground.

No promise came, just further gasps and even a weak shove to try and get her off of him and away from his starseed. It hurt at the very core and his mind was racing to figure out how to get out of this. He couldn't run, not this time, not with someone grabbing him the way she was now.

"Let it go ...or just yank it out and be DONE with it..."
Probably wasn't the answer she was expecting. He was shaking now, eyes wide with panic and filled with tears. Scheelite raised his hands again to uselessly claw at her own hand.

Out, out, OUT
That was all he could think.

She clenched her eyes shut as he spoke, every gasp, every pant. All of it killed her a little bit inside. She had never lingered like this to listen, usually she ripped them out without a thought but this was very different. As he clawed she started to slip a bit, tugging the seed closer to the surface. Almost to the point of pulling it out before shoving it back into place ripping her hand from the chest.

She stared at him, with mixed disgust and pity. Her captain lay on the ground beaten down by her own hands, not exactly a pleasing sight. "Your pathetic Scheelite. You won't take anyones help, and you run around making stupid mistakes. You can do better and you know it but you aren't even trying anymore." While she had the chance she took a swift kick at his ribs; pay back for her own. "Shape up. Or next time I will rip your starseed out."

The pain was immeasurable. Scheelite had suffered broken ribs before, and the kick that came to his ribs hurt but compared to that it wasn't much at all. The thing that hurt the most was feeling his soul yanked around inside of him and almost being pulled out...

Only to be shoved back like some cruel joke. So close...it had been SO CLOSE, and even then he was fairly certain he didn't want to die. But all the thoughts running in his head were jumbled and confused and the poor kid really didn't know what to think right now.

"SHUT UP."
The captain stumbled to his feet, backing away from the other and covering his chest protectively with shaking hands.
"SHUT. UP! How DARE you call me pathetic, you have NO IDEA what I'm doing! I TOLD you to leave me alone, you can't even follow a SIMPLE order from your CAPTAIN. ******** you and you 'orders' of me shaping up. You're a friend Hel, but I'm not letting YOU tell ME what to do!"

The next words were hissed.
"Traitor. That's what they'll call you if you kill me. Traitor Hel, and then where will you go? The precious moon kingdom won't want you back with Negaverse taint on you, and the Negaverse doesn't keep around those who kill their own. So BACK the ******** off, don't ******** threaten me, and next time LEAVE ME ALONE WHEN I TELL YOU TOO!"

He was obviously in a state of hysterics, some words screamed, some said with tears, running through a range of emotions ten times over before he was done speaking.

"Go get some ice, those ribs are going to hurt for a while. I know, I've -been- there."
That was it. He turned and started to walk off and so help him god if she followed again he'd just teleport away.

He. Was. Done.

Hel placed a hand lightly on her ribs as she watched the captain stagger to his feet, her eyes cold and harsh even as his range of emotions ran by. She could have killed him, part of her, deep down, had wanted to so dearly to do it. Just to prove a point that she wasn't to be taken lightly. "A captain who can't even sort out his own LIFE is a PERFECT example of pathetic!" She hissed again through the pain, "Let me make it clear I WON'T take orders from a captain WHO CAN'T SORT OUT HIS OWN LIFE!"

She snorted at the remark of traitor. "Oh really? Are you dead? Are you laying in a coma on the side of a street while I eye your pathetic little starseed? Your the traitor, your the one who left YOUR TEAM, your the traitor right now, not me, I'm the one trying to knock some sense into you. I'M TRYING TO MAKE YOU PAY SOME DAMN ATTENTION TO YOUR DUTY AS A CAPTAIN YOU IDIOT!" She watched him turn, she let him walk, at least in her mind. Never mind they could simply both blink away at the drop of a hat. So she watched, she watched him stumble away holding her broken ribs gently with a hiss. After he faded from her view she finally turned blinking back to her room in an a apartment she could hardly call home.
