Tony watched as Alexis drove with one hand. Not sure what he thought about that, tilting his head to his side curiously. Generally, he liked to keep both hands on the wheel, as well as his full attention on the road. Of course, he knew how distracting Dogby could be in the car from his recent first effort to drive her anywhere.
Still, at least she was behaving herself more than that time.
Anyway, she had stopped at a light before trying to pet the needy dog, which he appreciated. Poor Dogby whimpered and licked at Alexis' hand. Attention was comforting, Tony supposed.
"It was scary, for everyone. I think for tiny puppies the most. Poor thing," he kept saying it, but it was true. He sighed, "though, I'll admit I was pretty scared, myself, so I can hardly blame her." He sighed, lapsing into silence until they reached his apartment. It hadn't been a far drive, which was why he often walked everywhere he needed to go. He smiled at her.
"Thank you for the ride."

Alexis often preferred to drive with two hands but she knew when there was a need for one. Most of the time it wasn't like she was talking on a cell phone or reading a book. In her mind if it kept Dogby from messing with the steering wheel the occasional one handed steering method was better than letting the dog try to crash the car.
She nodded, "It was, and to think there were children out there. It's horrible." Alexis shook her head, clearly not impressed with the situation.
"It's kinda why I occasionally was petting her," Alexis admitted. "Normally I wouldn't've done such a thing but I was hoping if occasionally gave her attention she wouldn't do anything like try to stand on the steering wheel to get my attention."
When Tony thanked her for the ride she smiled, "It wasn't a problem. Oddly enough your place is on the way to mine, maybe a bit of a longer way but not enough to worry about."
She lived closer to the school she taught at so she could walk there. "Your sure you're okay?" She asked again just to make sure, as she watched Dogby still strive for attention.

Tony laughed, looking a bit apologetic. He rubbed the back of his neck, chuckling.
"I'm sorry to have made you take a slightly longer way, then. Ah... well. It was nice to see you again, though perhaps the circumstance might be a bit better next time. If you come around the library, maybe? In any case... have a nice rest of your night."
No more ice monsters, hopefully.
He opened the door and got out of the car, grimacing. He was fairly pained, and just wanted to take a nap. Dogby didn't follow him right away, still getting used to things and he had to reach back into the car to collect her. She nuzzled against him though, whimpering softly when she felt the cold air outside.
"I'm fine, thank you. Again. Good night, Miss Alexis." He smiled and then moved away from the car, closing the door and dragging himself slowly to the apartment building. Sleep good. He slipped inside with one last wave, the door closing behind him slowly.

"Ah it's no problem at all." She beamed, "I like to take different routes occasionally to see the scenery." She gave a nod, Destiny city was always changing that was something the art teacher always liked. Even if it might've been because of the skirted terrorists the place was still an interesting one, like a changing painting.
"Ah, you as well, take care of your self." She smiled as he collected Dogby from her lap, before though she gave the pup one last scratch behind the ears. "I'll probably be back to visit after the library opens back up from the Christmas holiday."
"Goodnight Mr. Darrow." She called with a smile, "Sleep well."
It was Christmas Eve, however Bailey didn't have much else to do so she drove home, curled up on the couch and found one of the Christmas specials on TV to watch. In between commercials she made popcorn and got her something to drink before finally drifting off.
