After several breaths and passing moments, he had not left. He had stayed looked in his same position. He was studying her. Reeling through his mind, so many things crossed. Her behavior. His behavior because of her. Her words themselves. Her tone. He truly was not himself tonight, and he spent a little time on that thought as well.
"Tell me." He said it calm still, but with a little force in it.

Adalyn knew he would leave and never think twice after she had told her story but she felt better each time she said it. As if she was pouring out her heart to unknown strangers but she was ok with that is it took the pain away at least for a short time.
"I was not always like this..I did not always look like this..One fateful Halloween there was some event going on i do not remember clearly..I remember me and my brother went but when we came back we were changed..I looked like this and he was my twin..Our parents were dead when we got back..i have never been the same since that day.."
She shakes her head feeling emotional now wishing she could of been killed with her parents as she was really close to them. Now her memory of the event if foggy and unclear but she can still see them dead killed by something or someone..
"Now all i want is to see my parents again..i see spirits i call out then they all go away. The reason i hide myself is because i dont want to be hurt again by this curl word..if no one knows how i look i will be forgotten and can live by myself..My brother is like a protector to me.."
She wishes she could remember some of her good memories but all that comes back are the bad ones in the days that followed her parents deaths. She has been but a foal and now as an adult she is still the same unforgiving and deceiving.

Pavitra was quite as she spoke. He dared not interrupt her. He'd asked her to tell him and she'd obliged. Her tale was indeed blood chilling and depressing. She'd had a hard life there was no doubt. He'd never known his parents. He wondered about them, but he just knew... well, he was probably better off. He liked who he was and maybe if they'd been around, he would be who he is now.
This wasn't about his memory lane though. When she seemed to finish, he waited several moments to be sure, he asked, "How old were you?" in a very quiet, hushed voice. Like the spirits she saw would be disturbed by his voice.
Odd how he didn't question her words an ounce. He believed everything this mare said, and in retrospect that could of been an idea. At that point in time, he simply didn't care enough to question why it was he believed her. He just did.

Adalyn was expecting him to run off now and never think twice about there encounter but he stayed put as if drawn to her past. She was wondering why he stayed here when most choose not to believe her story this one did? Why did he what was he logic?? She wondered how long he would stick around her knowing herself she may start to lighten up but she wanted not that..
"I was just a foal..me and my brother..we were not very old and had much to learn..without our parents to guide us we were lost..then he took on the role of my protector and its been that way to this day.."

He nodded once, as if to tell her he'd understood what she said, as if he wasn't lost and in a comprehending state. He wondered about the boy.Was he just like Adalyn?
"Do you ever see your parent's spirits?" The question popped out of his mouth as quickly as it popped into his head. He held his breath, not knowing if that was a tacky or bad question to ask, or if she'd leave. He expected both.

She was wondering if he even really cared about her past. She wanted to know why he felt the need to ask all these questions..At least he was not asking her to take her mask off that was what she hated most her mask is what made her a living thing. It was her only connection to the spirits and to her past..of course she would never tell anyone that she wished to live in the past..the present was just not to her liking .
She was really startled by his next question as if he could tell what she was thinking. She started to back up a bit knowing that if she fled he would never think of her and she would just be a spirit of his memory. Somehow though she deiced to stay put staring him down with her cold gaze.
"yes i am not afraid to admit i do..I try to call out to them but they just vanish with the rest of the spirits..i long to see there loving faces if at least once more..i cannot wait forever just to see them again when i die..I suppose im half dead in a way but not fully.."

"Was that what you were doing when I stepped out? Were you looking at the spirits?" Pavitra took a step towards her, though he had not told his body to do so. He had his head tilted to the left, with a curious expression. He didn't feel the need to leave. He wanted to know more. So much more.

She notices this one seems drawn to her as much as the others were repealed away from her. She wondered what was making him stay why he was not leaving..perhaps he was not as bad as the others but she would never let someone convince her that.
"Yes..they come when they want to i have no control over the spirits..they go away as suddenly as they come but sometimes they stay for hours and i just stand watching them.."
She sees he is getting closer without knowing it but this time she stands her ground. Perhaps her brother was right..she needed a friend someone she could trust for when he was not around..

"But as soon as you acknowledge them, they flee?" So many questions. It hadn't crossed his mind until later that he was being rude. What was the draw? That too he didn't question until later.
"So... interesting." He breathed, cocking his head to the other side. "Is your brother like you too?"

"Well..not really in that state..they always know im watching them its when i make a sudden movement, call out to them or just when they go on there own..they know i can see them..im not even sure if there real or if its my mind playing tricks projecting the ones i loved from the past.."
She sighed not wanting to go on with this rather depressing talk but that was who she was. she was depressed, deceiving and a lost soul looking for her calling
"It may be interesting for you but its a fact for me..i am not sure of my brother as i have not talked to him to a long while..i know he is a spirit like me of course but the rest is unclear of what he sees..he chooses not to wear his mask and for that it is my greatest envy.."

He thought about her words for a long moment. Her actions. Her tone. She was so afraid. And for what could be good reason. He's sure he would of thought of himself as crazy if he saw spirits. He definitely wouldn't of told anyone, for anything if he had that ability.
"May.." he hesitated, suddenly a coursing urge taking over his other thoughts. "May I please.. see.." he was nervous about asking but he so serenely wanted to see. "See your face?" It came out as an inaudible whisper, his eyes pleading as he leaned towards her just a fraction. His hooves stayed solidly in place but he was drawn towards her still. As if he could see through the mask. "Please?" even quieter was his voice.

She of never had thought..she never had thought she could grow close to someone in this short of a time..in the time she had known him she could tell she was slowly falling for him why she could not grasp. It must of been the way he was..she had grown to like the way he acted like he really did care about her in a way no of the others ever could have. He was farm from being like her but she felt a pull to him even if she would never admit that she like him and his personality.
His next question though stunned her he was asking her to do what her brother had longed for her to do..remove her mask and forget all the bad in her life. Could she do it..? Even for this stallion when she could not do it for her own brother..? She decided that if not now she would never have another reason to take off her mask..she wanted him to remember her now to never forget there meeting..She felt ready to open up her mind and her heart this was her moment and she could not stop herself the impulse was to strong.
"If that is what you wish..I will grant your wish..you must promise me though you will not leave and forget me after you do see my face..i am taking a chance with fate as you never questioned me and believed everything i have said.."
She bends down and lets the mask fall off her face her hair falling down over here glowing eyes . She now had a rare smiling forming on her face a rare smile of hope nothing of what she had been before but she knew her nature now was not going to last long and her old self would come back even if she had her mask on or off.

He grew excited at the aspect of her words. She sounded like she was agreeing, though hesitant. He definitely wasn't going to force her into it. But he was so curious. What did she look like? Scars? Her eyes, he could see, but eyes alone weren't her face. He wanted to see who it was he was truly talking too. ( He knew in the back of his mind that he would have to get to know her to truly know who hes talking to... but removing a mask was a start, right? )
It fell and, watching it hit the ground. Slowly, peering up back at her face, he first noticed her smile. A smile? It was radiant. It glowed like her eyes. Then noticing a complete blackness in casing her glowing pupils. It wasn't scary like it would sound described. It was just different.
The only marking he could see was the faded stripe running up the bridge of her snout.
"Very beautiful." He smiled pleasantly, still not letting his voice above a whisper. "Very."
A growl he may or may not have imagined rocketed his senses back into reality. But he surely wanted to protect this mare. She suddenly seemed so vulnerable for some reason. "I think we need to head out of here. I have a small grassy area not far, and I think it seems safer than right here." He glanced around them but only briefly.
He traveled with a stallion, Rajput, yes. But Pavitra doubted he would mind the extra company. And plus Rajput would be even better at fighting off forces than Pavitra, no doubt. Maybe he might not even reutrn to their spot in the clearing. They didn't spend every moment and every night together.
He looked back are the mare and bent his head down as if to retrieve her mask. If she would let him, he'd carry it... maybe not even let her put back on fore the rest of the night.
"Will you join me?"

Adalyn could tell this stallion meant every word he said. She had a feeling they would become great friends and who knows what else might happen? For the first time in a very long time she let all her worries go and she was happy with the present she was no longer in the past. She wondered how long this would last but the best part was she had found that someone she could trust and she knew he was not going to run away now.
After she had taken off her mask she noticed he showed even more interest in her. He was probably wondering why she would choose to hide her stunning face from the world. At least she thought she was stunning she looked just like her mother did even if she was a spirit now. She saw her mother in her and knew she and her father were always watching her. She now realized she could be happy and she felt as if a burden had been lifted of her. She turned back to the stallion now looking serious but if her eyes could show emotion they would of been glowing with playfulness
"Why thank you..not many have ever seen my face..You should consider yourself lucky you did win over my side that desperately wanted to show someone my face.."
She looked back at him wondering what would happen next when she heard some sort of sound vibrate though his body. She could not help be wonder what his thoughts were. She felt scared now though without her mask she felt exposed to the world like nothing was protecting her so his next words came as a relief to her.
"I agree with you and i would be willing to fallow you back to you area..I feel exposed now and being there i think would be safer then here like you said"
Her ears twitch slightly as she debates if what she is doing is really the right thing to do. She thinks of her brother and knows that he would approve of her and her actions as she approved of him even if she did not want to family always should try to get along. She watched him bend down to pick up her mask. Her first impulse was to run and snatch it and to hide her face one more but she resisted that urge and let him pick it up.She must learn to trust one way or another.
"I shall"
She walks over to stand by his side ready to follow him to his area and to beyond the place she is used to.
