"Yeah, but I'm usually one so I get used to finding games for just me." This wasn't something he was trying to get pity over, since he really didn't mind. He just had to find fun in everything he could.
He kept working and soon his new snow picutre was looking pretty good. He was amazed, since he had only made up this game today. He looked as she came over. He finished the eyes and tried to show what he saw when he looked at the mare, beauty and kindness.
"Two leggers?" He had heard of them, but never actually met any himself. They sounded pretty neat. Maybe they would be fun to play with? He looked at her as his picture was done, "What do you think?" It was her face and he was quite proud of it.

Paavai could relate to that, since recent events. He was more creative than she was and naturally lively but even still, he must of got lonely sometimes too. She nodded as she looked over the picture, if it wasn't for her red coat her blush would of engulfed her cheeks by now.
"That's m-me?" She stammered stating the obvious in disbelief. She chuckled. It was stunning, not because it was art of her but because he had put so much detail in to it with a simple canvas; snow. "I love it. You're amazing!" She nuzzled his neck in appreciation and thanks, before pulling back and looking at him. He was so sweet.
"Yes, two-leggers. They're very..." She paused. "Interesting. The little ones are always climbing on you and babbling. It's cute... Have you ever met one?"

He smiled and then blushed as she nuzzled against his heck. He didn't expect that! "I'm glad you like it. I'm not if it's that good." He said with a little chuckle, he wasn't so good with compliments.
"No, I haven't. They sound fun. Did you used to hang out with them?" He was very interested, seeing how he hadn't met one. He had heard about them, but that was it. He smiled at her ready to hear any story she may want to share.

She smiled and chuckled also, seeing how he was just being modest. She thought it was really good, even though she had only seen her reflection in the water. Her face seemed to fall for a moment at the word 'used to' before she perked up again, looking him in the eyes. "I used to live with them. At the village." She swished her tail behind her, feeling happy talking about them.
"They're really fun! As long as you do as your told, they let you roam free bring you juicy apples and comb your hair. They really are loving and friendly." Most of the time. She thought, tilting her head."Maybe I could show you them one day?"

He saw her faced fall, even if it was only for a moment. He thought used to? He wondered what happened, but figured she would tell him if she wanted too. He didn't like the sad face she had for that second and liked it better when she cheered up.
"Comb your hair?" He wasn't sure what that remark meant. What was a comb. "Oh, I love apples! They bring them to you?" He liked that idea, that would be cool to have someone bring him the tasty treat. "Yeah, that would be nice."

He didn't know what a comb was? Were all wild soquili sheltered to the way of the two-leggers? Paavai had thought that everyone had some knowledge of them. She gave a nod, chuckling as she looked around trying to find something she could use to demonstrate...
She had an idea! She carefully moved her head closer to his and lifted the bangs out of his eyes with her horn, taking a step back afterward. "Its.. Kind of like that. Except they use their fingers? Or a square object with little spikes on it and it makes your hair feel silky and soft against your skin." Was she making any sense at all? It was hard to explain when someone had never experienced it before.
"Yeah. They bring baskets full of them and share them out between all of us." She was happy he agreed. It would be refreshing to be able to share her past with someone she felt she could trust even after a short amount of time.

Riley stood still as she brushed his mane back with her horn. He blushed at her touch and was confused until she explained. "Oh, I see!" He said, "They make your hair soft and silky." He nodded and then wondered what he mane felt like, was it not very soft?
"Wow, that sounds so nice." He said as he thought about that. They brought out tasty apples to share with the soquillis. "How many soquillis live with them?" He was very interested in this subject.

She smiled widely as the questions kept coming, spotting what she thought could of been red tainted cheeks? It made her look to the side a little shyly. Her eyes slid back to him, nodding.
"Quite a few." She looked to the sky in thought, almost like she was mentally counting. "They catch us wild most of the time, and then a lot of them find mates within the village over time. Numbers just keep growing so it's hard to keep track..." She smiled sweetly, tilting her head curiously. "What about you? Do you have a home or a herd anywhere?"

Riley was taken back by this. Caught when wild? How could that be, what would that be like? They found mates that way? Riley's head was swirlying when she asked about him.
"Oh, no herd really. I have a large family...but I don't know them that well." He had parents with lots of brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, uncles...most he hadn't even met. He met one of his Uncle once...

He seemed to grow quiet and it made her wonder what was wrong. Maybe I said something bad..? Her ears flattened against her head as she watched him. He started talking about his family and she offered him a small smile. It must of been nice, to have a family. She considered two-leggers as family but she was starting to grow accustomed to the wild now.
She gave a gentle shake of her mane as it whisked around, blowing out of her face. "Still, it must be nice to have a big family you can see if you choose to." She was assuming slightly but if they were anything like Riley, they must of been wonderful.
Trudging through the snow, she paused by his side and looked at him. "Would you like to go for a walk?"

"Yeah, they are pretty cool." He wished he saw more of them, but that was another matter. He wondered how many nieces and nephews he had now, He hadn't seen his family in quite some time.
He trotted up next to her and smiled, "Yes, that sounds nice." He liked being with her. He was used to playing games with others and then having them leave. She wanted to walk with him. He smiled at her, "Anywhere in particular you want to go?"

She smiled as he happily agreed to walk with her and made his way to her side. She wasn't sure where to go honestly, she didn't have anywhere in mind she just thought a nice walk, with company would be nice for a change. She shook her head.
"Hmm I don't know!" She chuckled. "Lets just go where our hooves take us. I'm sure we can have a good time just about anywhere." That's how she felt right now at least. She looked around at the frosted coated trees that bordered the plains. Ears perking up.
"We could.. Always find a river and try ice skating?" It sounded silly but it could be funny, watching each other flail around on the ice. She nudged him gently with her nose. "Whatcha say, you up for it?" Smiles playfully.

"Anywhere with you will be good." Did he just say that? He blushed again and then chuckled at himself. He followed alongside her and brightened at her idea.
"Oh, yes! That's sounds fun and I'm always up for fun!" He nudged her back playfully, "Race you there!" He said and before she could answer him he ran with a smile on his face.

Paavai's blue eyes took to him as a mad blush heated up her cheeks at his words. She felt like she could of melted in to a puddle. It was only when he nudged her and started to speak again that she was pulled from her thoughts.
Wait - what!? She thought, still stunned as he took off across the plain. Watching as he kicked the snow up behind him. She smirked. "Hey! That's cheating!" She laughed, taking off after him, trying her best to catch up.

He barely heard her words as they were caught by the wind. He turned and saw that she was catching up and since he didn't want to beat her that bad he slightly slowed, letting her catch up.
He then looked forward again and saw the frozen river, "There it is!" He smiled as he looked over at her. He had let himself fall into the same pace as her and it felt really good. He liked that he had someone with him on one of his adventures.
