Sighing softly her ears drooped a little, she had told him often enough about her relationship with her family. Her father Ab was not related by blood and there was no similarity there to help her claim a history. Besides he had just shot down her attempt to be romantic. She had spent a long time working out who she was and had made some hard choices, she would always have to live with them but she had chosen her adopted family over the one that left her alone. She had no idea where she came from.
Looking up at Rock she nuzzles him but says nothing more, he hadn't seemed to take her feelings seriously, or had he and just tried to make light of it to save his embarrassment? She had no idea and found she didn't want to ask. Sometimes working out what he wanted was hard, but then her wants were very simple, she wanted him, a life with him and one day a family of her own. She just had to be sure it was what he wanted.

He stopped again right after he finished speaking his words. The atmosphere and even an oaf like him could notice it. It had been sudden and piercing and he suddenly felt like he had done something wrong.
He waited for a second and then looked at addy, she was quiet. His breath hitched in his throat and his face paled in something resembling horror.
He hid been selfish and sloppy with his attempt to not seem awkward and poor attempt at something more deep - he should have known that was beyond him. hadn't Selena taught him that simply being himself and NOT trying to sound smart or deep was the best? that way he didn't make as much of a fool of himself as he naturally did.
He bit his lip, adela being quiet had a very precise meaning to him. he had been with her long enough to realize the meaning behind this pregnant silence. He swallowed hard and tried to pinpoint what it was he had said that put the hurt in her eyes and the sag to her shoulders.
His eyes widened when he found it and then everything about her became clear and his eyes swam with an overturn of emotion. how could he be so stupid saying that?
he bowed his head and his eyes saddened. He was always doing this. "I am sorry..."

She looked round to him, she never managed to stay mad at Rock, though she wasn't actually mad. She knew him well enough to know that his hoof had a direct line to his mouth at time, and while his words could sometimes sting or disappoint she knew better than to think that was what he had meant to say, or in some cases do. She shook her head and smiled softly, nipping at his mane and giving it a tug, just enough to hurt a little. "There you go, punished, and forgiven." Forgiveness came in the form of a kiss and a nuzzle. There was no reason to make him suffer, he beat himself up over enough things, so penance was swift and over with quickly.
Trotting out of his reach she turned on him smiling brightly. "So... What shall we do with our day today?" Tilting her head, not sure what to do, but they would come up with something she was sure of that.

Rock immediately perked up as she teased him and tugged at his mane. For a second, their blue eyes met and his glowed with the love he felt continuously swelling in his chest for her. She was incredible. Why he had wasted time without her in his past, he would never understand. She was just, perfect.
He watched her trot in front of him, further and further so he couldn't return the little snip she had given him. Rockstar beamed at her, glowing with his emotion. "Did you know I love you?" He suddenly burst out. "I love you!" He ran up to her and planted a hard his, filled with passion. "I love you so much, Addy." he whispered.
"Lets go to our place."

Adela looked at him, always seeming stunned when he burst out with declarations of love, not because she didn't believe him, she did... She had spent so long pining for him, playing the friend when really she wanted more that even now when they were finally together it was still a joyous surprise to hear those words from him. She had kissed him back and nuzzled close, shifting to they could just hold each other for a short time, just wanting that wonderfully right feeling of being close a little longer. "I love you too Rock, with all my heart." All of it that mattered anyway, she only loved 2 others, one was her adopted father, and the other was her closest friend , both of those other stallions held a special place in her heart but she loved them differently. Her love for Rock was brighter and in a different part of her heart all together. "Lets go." Moving back enough to smile at him, walking beside him to their place.

He beamed, face shinning and he eagerly trotted before her. Urging with a whip of his dark hair and fastened reins. Their clinking sound ringing in both their ears. He nuzzled her again once she was by his side and they set off truly, side by side. Warming each other with their proximity as well at the emotions that leaked from their sparkling blue eyes.
The path to their place was unknown to all but themselves. The trees and grass covered the trail they moved along with sureness and swift movement. Birds and creatures chirped and they passed thickets and clearings, occasionally picking at leaves, vines and plants. Rock had even spotted a clump of blooming merry golds that he had instantly bounded towards to pick for Adela. Placing them carefully in her mane with passionate eyes and a deep kiss once they were all in place, decorating her and making her even more beautiful.
Their journey was not long, but it was freckled with stops and nuzzles and kisses as they passed by the natural beauty of their chosen direction. Once they arrived, the place was just as beautiful as it had always been; a small spring found in a deep-set clearing. Logs and reeds lining the edge of the water and the sound of the warm liquid bubbling accompanied by the birds and water foul that basked in the beautiful place seemed too perfect. Rockstar smile and kissed Addy's cheek softly, "Welcome back."
