Roman squirmed on Santa's lap. It was obvious from his rigidness that he didn't like strangers, nor did he like being on their laps. But, this was Santa. "It's Roman." He laid his hands out on his lap and looked up at Santa Dane, "What if...I have been a good boy all year? Do I get coal?"

Ily waved back as Roman ran off, not at all bothered by how he acted or by how clingy Seth was. This was mostly due to how Seth's natural ability to calm her temper and thus kept her mostly tame when around. Anyone else would have been pushed off and yelled at the instant they touched her.
Seth squeaked and hugged Ily's knees tighter as Charlotte bent down to look at him. "Hi. You like m-my tail? Thanks," he replied shyly, peeking around his sister's legs to get a better look at her. She didn't seem too bad, and wasn't the weird boy that had just left... "M' Seth. Who you?"

Dane let out another Santa laugh and held his belly as it shook as he'd seen so many times on the stupid Christmas specials, "Of course not Roman, if you were a good boy all year I'll be sure to bring you something fun and definitely not coal," He said with a warm smile at the young boy. Dane was sure at the end of this gig he'd end up going home and crying himself to sleep but he was never someone to do a job half-heartedly.

"Your welcome." Charlotte smiled sweetly. She hadn't meant to scare the kid, and was trying her best to make up for it. "Nice to meet you Seth. My name's Charlotte, but you can call me Charlie or Moose. Whichever." The woman half turned to point at Roman. "And I'm his mom."
Roman sighed. Well, now that that was settled, he could get on with it. Santa's smile was infectious and with the weight lifted off his heart, Roman smiled back. "Then I know what I want." He nodded seriously, nervously blending his hands on his lap. "Music sheets for Kieran. He really likes music, and I don't have money..." As far as he was concerned, he had everything that he could ever want, but he'd seen the way Kieran's eyes lit up when they went to music shops.

Seth smiled back, moving away from his sister's leg ever so slowly. Curse his shyness around people! "Moose? I like that name," he replied with a soft giggle, legitimately liking it. Names seemed a little too formal for him, so whenever someone had a unique nickname, like Chicken or Moose, it amused him greatly. "This is Ily, my sister," he added, releasing the leg he had previously clung to.

What was with these kids? Dane couldn't understand how they were all wanting things for other people. Weren't kids supposed to be selfish and bratty? Dane remembered Christmas time being magical when he was a kid, but once he grew up it was all just lies and marketing. He shook the thoughts from his head, now wasn't the time to get all day-dreamy and introspective.
"Oh, well that's very nice of you Roman" Santa Dane said, "It is the season of giving and it is nice to think of others. If everyone could be as giving and generous all year round everyone would be a little happier. That's my job though when you think of other people and do things for them you're being a good boy, so this time of the year is when I reward you," He said poking Romans nose lightly to strengthen his point, "So isn't there something that you want for yourself? Toy cars? A football? A toy sword?" He asked, he felt like he wasn't really doing his job if the kids didn't ask for something for themselves.
Regardless of his suspicion and disbelief...Dane's Liberality within him couldn't help but swell to actually see children being so generous.

"Thanks," Charlotte giggled. If Sabra had only known had much her nickname was going to stick, she probably would have chosen something much more...unique. Hooray for hindsight! The woman looked up, giving a little wave to the younger girl. "Hello, Ily. You must be the girl Roman met at the pool, right? He told me about you, but I imagine that you've grown since then."
Roman reached up to put his finger in the exact spot Santa Dane had poked it, subconsciously rubbing the end of it in a circle before dropping his hand. Anything he wanted? But he had already..."For me?" The wrath spawn thought about it for a second, and something clicked. "Oh! Can I have a bike?"

Ily flashed the woman a slight smile and a wave in response. "Yeah, I have grown a bit. I see Roman's grown too, since he wasn't nearly that tall when I first saw him," she replied, glancing down as Seth's head feathers brushed against her hand. Had she not been used to it by then, the girl would have certainly jumped a foot and a half into the air.

Santa Dane let out some jolly HoHoHo's and nodded his head, "Sure thing Roman, I think a bicycle is doable," He smiled at the boy. He wondered to himself if the parents of the kids he's been telling would be getting what they wanted would actually get the right presents. It made Dane feel a little sleazy to be honest, but hopefully most of the kids would receive what they deserved.
"And here you go Roman, a little something to tide you over until Christmas," He said pulling a candy cane out of the sac next to him and handing it to the boy.

Roman's smile gained warmth. Maybe Santa wasn't such a bad guy after all. He reached out for the candy cane, and didn't say anything until after the same elf from before had already sat him on the ground....then scurried away. At that moment, Roman turned around, little wings flexing behind him. "Merry Christmas, Santa." Then he turned to walk back to his mother.
Charlotte turned back to her son with a wistful smile. "He has. I swear, that boys going to be scrapping his head on ceilings if he keeps on at this rate." She laughed easily as she stood up. Was he...was Roman smiling? For real? No strings attached?
"How was it, sweetie? Did you tell Santa what you wanted?"
He nodded. "Yep. And I got this~" He held up his candy cane.
"That's great." She ruffled his hair with an excited smile, then turned to Ilyrosa and Seth. "It was nice meeting you two. Maybe we'll meet again in the future, but right now, we'd better head home. Merry Christmas." Charlotte reached down for Roman's hand and led him away.

Ily and Seth both nodded, only Seth being the one to grin and reply back. "Bye! Merry Christmas!" he called out, waving softly to the nice lady as she left with Roman. As they left, that only meant one thing; he was next to see Santa. Carefully, Seth maneuvered himself up to the chair and, after a bit of thinking on both his part and the helper's was set down on Santa Dane's lap. It was difficult when you didn't have legs to actually sit on things but he managed it thankfully.
"Hi, I'm Seth. You're green," Seth commented absently, actually EXCITED that Santa was green. Green was one of his favorite colors after all and probably the best color ever in his opinion. "Tha's so awesome. So d'you really give presen's t' everyone?" he asked, not sure if Ily had been joking or which of her stories about the man had been true.

Dane waved and smiled at Roman as he ran off and wished him a Merry Christmas. That was weird...it seemed as if these kids weren't really as bad as he'd been expecting.
The green teen Santa smiled as the next child came to sit, er, coil on his lap. Dane gave off another Santa chuckle as Seth's mouth went off at a mile a minute, "Well Seth green is the other Christmas color," he said, "And yes I do. I give presents to all the good little boys and girls all over the world. Speaking of which what do you want for Christmas Seth?" Dane asked, watching the hyped up child.

Seth's eyes nearly went as wide as saucers as the green Santa confirmed what he had been told earlier that week. "That's... that's awesome," he muttered, awestruck for a few moments before his question finally sunk in. That was right, he was here to say exactly what he wanted in hopes of getting it for Christmas later in the month.
"Uh... Well... I did want t' meet you for a start as one present," he replied softly, looking incredibly shy for a kid that only recently even learned about the holiday. It never occurred to him what he really wanted, items and toys per se. Just that he wanted really meet Santa and possibly find a way to get another snake so Pandorphone, his first, had a friend but Damon already said no... "An' maybe a new box of crayons? My other ones got broken," he added, sounding incredibly sad about that and not explaining HOW they were broken.
Which was ultimately Ily accidentally stepping on them as they hid under a blanket. "Or maybe a candy cane?" Seth added, remembering Santa Dane was actually handing them out to the kids that saw him. That would make his week, a candy cane from a Santa decorated in in his favorite color. Best. Present. Ever.
