Wow. The kitty was still hungry! Ainsley almost couldn't believe it, and believing it made the small child wonder just how long the cat had been alone outside with no food. She didn't waste time though and after the cat went back to the meat she had brought out to it previously, she grabbed the bowl that had the yogurt and the milk in it from before and then happily hopped down from the chair at the table, skipping across the floor to the fridge. The kitty was probably thirsty and when she got to the fridge's doors she put the bowl on the floor, opened the door and pulled the milk back out from the fridge, pouring a good amount back into the bowl.
She put the milk back into the fridge and then pondered on the thought for a moment. What more would the kitty like to eat? She reached into the fridge, digging deeper and deeper until she pulled out what seemed to be a slice of cake on a plate. It was shortcake, with a little strawberry on top of it and lots of cream. She stared at it for the longest moment as she wondered if the cat would enjoy the cake. She set the cake next to the bowl of milk on the floor as she closed the fridge before picking the plate and bowl off the floor and carefully walking back over to the table.
"Are you done?" She asked happily as she set the milk and cake on the table near *********, giving the kitty a good part on the head before sliding her hand across ********* back to pet her fully. She repeated this a few times before she stopped so she could see if the cat was going to eat the new food she had brought her. She didn't sit down like she had all of the other times though. She just leaned forward, pressed her elbows on the table and rested her head on her palms.

********* little nose twitched and sniffed, and before she had finished the bits of meat, she was already looking to the next part of the meal. The manx, though she loved food in general, many times had been caught with her sweet tooth out. At the moment, that seemed to be the case. To let her thanks be known, the cat actually stood up, then padded up to the girl. She rubbed herself along the girl's arms, and if she had a tail, more than likely it would have been able to tickle the child's nose. No tail, so no tickles for the child's nose. Brushing her furry cheeks against the arms, she then turned to the treat her nose had informed her of and settled down.
It was a bit strange that the girl was sharing so much and not eating anything still, but that was something the cat wasn't about to argue about. It was tummy filling time. Though her tummy was slowly filling up to maximum occupancy, it didn't mean she had plans to stop yet. Slowing down slightly, maybe, but even that was not in the immediate future as far as the manx was concerned.

The child squealed as the cat rubbed all along her arms, giving ********* a good pat before she went over to the food. She smiled, happily watching as the little cat continued to eat and eat like she had ten stomachs! The child didn't mind sharing, especially when she had already eaten lunch before she went outside and even found the cat. She was always told not to eat too many snacks in the afternoon or she might spoil her appetite for dinner.
"How about when you finish we go up to my room before my sister comes home? I can show you my room, as well as Constantine Cyprian and Night Knight! You can even take a nap if you want to. My bed is really comfy!"

This whole ordeal had started thanks to ********* napping. Yet even know as she worked on finishing up her cake, it sounded like a good idea. Her tummy might have seemed like it was made of steel, but eating a lot did still make the poor manx groggy.
To be polite, the cat paused from her chewing to let out a simple little mewling sound before resuming the cake eating.
Before the little girl could bring her anything else, the cake had vanished. For a moment, the manx wobbled up to her feet and made her way back to the child before setting herself down into a rather perfect kitty loaf. Once more she mewled out, letting her know that she was done.

Ainsley loved cats so much, not as much as she loved bunnies but they were certainly very awesome in their own way. They could eat and eat, and even purr while doing so. Afterward they would give the cutest mew to give their thanks much like the small manx in front of her was doing. It was just so cute, and the child couldn't help but give a tiny grin as she waited for the cat to finished, which was then signalized with another mew as she flopped forward.
"All done?" She said, although it wasn't exactly a question when she looked down to find an empty plate which she then carefully retrieved from the kitty. A smile and a hop, skip and step away and the child put the dishes into the sink, giving them a good rinse so nothing would stick to them when they were washed later. Pleased that they were rinsed off enough, the child moved back over to the kitty loaf on the table. She gave her a smile, picked up her bunny plush Octavian Oswald and then scooped the cat back up into her arms.
"Onward," she cheered as she carried the small cat with her around the corner of the kitchen and towards the stars that were just around the corner. She looked at the steps, and then looked at the cat in her arms. She took a step, and then another and another -- careful not to go too fast. The kitty had just eaten, it was rest time! Rest time was just what they found at the top of the stairs: her room. It was full of bunnies and stars and moons with a chest for her things and a top bunk only bunk bed. The bottom bunk was hollow with a table for tea parties underneath.
"This is my room," she said with a smile as she reached up and slipped the cat up onto the top bunk of her bed. It might have been an awful climb for a cat with such short legs and no tail, and that solved everything right away. Now the kitty could nap but before she could the child made a few more introduction.
"The bunny up there is Night Knight, he guards me when I sleep!" She said, pointing to the pillow up on the bed that was in the shape of a bunny. "That big bunny you seen when we came in is Constantine Cyprian, he's been taking care of Octavian Oswald and I since we moved to Destiny City!" Introductions done, the child climbed up onto the top bunk with the kitty. She peered down at her and with a hopeful look she asked the cat a very important question: "Do you like my room?" In other words, was the manx her friend?

********* remained like a good sleepy cat in her sleepy loaf spot, eyes closed as she waited for the girl to finish with whatever she was doing. The manx's eyes were closed, so it wasn't like she'd be able to see what was going on. Eventually, the pitter patter of feet coming closer caused her eyes to sleepily blink open. It was just enough to prevent her from puffing up in surprise when the child picked her up, tucking the small cat in her arms. The girl's footsteps made a rather steady rhythm with each step she took. It seemed to almost act like how rocking a crib would soothe a baby, causing the feline's eyes to drift shut once more.
Once she was finally set down, a green eye curiously peeked open. She was definitely higher up than a normal bed. The room itself was rather thoughtfully designed. The child must have had very thoughtful parents to make such an elegant room.
When the child spoke, ********* turned to face the child, her second eye peeking open. She wasn't about to be accused of being rude to her hostess, even if her brain was itching slightly. When the child pointed to a toy, her eyes followed. Night Knight and Constantine Cyprian were both rabbit toys like the one the girl had been carting around.
The cat let out a yawn, pinching her eyes shut for a moment as the girl asked her question. In response, she let out a very pleasant mewing sound. It could have translated however the child wanted, but in ********* sleepy mind, she had said yes.
The cat curled up slightly, eyes still shut. It would seem it was time for a cat nap.

Ainsley watched the manx very carefully as she waited for the answer to her very important question. For the moments between, the child felt like she was sitting in the doctor's office with that looming feeling of unknown that overwhelmed people's anxieties. She listened eagerly and when she heard the mew she smiled, the dark clouds that loomed over the unknown disappeared and a smile fell on the child's face. She had taken her response as a yes.
"My friend."
Then while very pleased with the answer Santa Cat had given her, the child found herself giving a yawn as she curled up next to the manx who she had brought up onto her bed. She was warm, and furry and such a wonderful Christmas present! She hoped Bell would let her keep her! With these thoughts, the child soon dozed off and fell into a sweet sleep next to her new friend.

If only the manx had been a normal cat, perhaps the child's dream could have come true. Perhaps the pale feline could have made a home for herself with this loving child.
However, no matter how caring a person was, ********* had responsibilities. She had to rest when she needed to rest, but she also had to do her job. Work would never get done if she remained with a loving family. She had a responsibility to the senshi, but a larger responsibility to her girls. No matter how tempting it was, she could not remain.
When green eyes eventually peeked open again after a good nap, the feline found the child curled around her almost like a mother cat would do with her babies. The sound of her breathing was a bit heavier, signaling that she was most likely asleep.
In a gentle tone, she uttered "It's better this way..." Gently she gave the girl a scratchy feline kiss along the cheek, then padded towards the edge of the bed. She hopped off, but when she landed it didn't sound like a cat landing on her feet, but more like a girl. Two more words loomed through the air before the bedroom door opened and shut.
"Thank you."
When the child woke up, she'd find herself mysteriously by herself, leaving her to wonder if the tailless cat she found in the snow had been but a dream.
