Lateralus es Helica I didn't mean to imply the Christian God solely, pretty much any culture that worships a god (notice lower-case there for your viewing pleasure) capitalizes the name, hence me capitalizing God. I realize there is a difference but functionally, as in how it's applied to everyday use, there's little to no difference. I'm not going to behave differently if I believe there are no gods versus if I lacked belief in gods. The reason it's a major big deal these days is that most the published dictionaries, especially in school, will use the Christian version of god when applying to what Atheism means. Even though we know that's wrong, kids who read it don't. Enough kids these days think Atheism is about believing in "Satan" and all kinds of other bullcrap. Atleast it should be done right.
I'll even quote a recent post by a friend of mine about their friend:
" one of my friends says he's athiest yet he says he's seen the devil. if he's seen the devil doesnt tht mean god is real? it is said in the bible tht god created the devil. the devil is basically an angle gone bad right? if the devil is real isnt god? "

They have a variety of all kinds of people. It's what makes us....unique. Stupid, yet unique.

Atheism is someone whom doesn't believe in a higher power, or God. Agnostics aren't usually just "agnostic". Agnostic theist, agnostic atheist. I'm an agnostic atheist. I can't prove there is no God (although math suggests it), but I do not believe in a God. One doesn't need faith to have a lack of belief, despite many protests by religions.
