Nyx purred happily, still unable to believe what was actually happening but the timing couldn't be better. She was sure that what was ahead of them wasn't going to be easy and it was going to work if they were willing to make a lifelong committment to each other. She wasn't sure what the future was going to hold for her or for them but being together would make everything so much easier for her, because she would have him and he was also she really needed.
She grinned, purring toward him "How could I say no though?" she giggled, rubbing her face against his hands. She laughed. "Knowing you I'm positive it wasn't easy to get, everything you ever do isn't easy, it's part of your personality!" she exlaimed. She took off the ring, rather reluctently and looked on the inside, her heard swelled when she read the inscription. "Oh Jiji, I have honestly never loved anymore more in my life either. From now on our lives are each others." she said, looking up at him and kissing him softly. She put the ring back on her finger and laughed, slightly nervously. "This family dinner is going to be very...informative isn't it?" she grinned.

"I dunno, no is and easy word to say though, a lot easier than Yes that's for sure." he laughed and kissed her, dreading in the back of his head letting her family know. Her siblings wouldn't be much of a problem, it was her parents who frightened him. He respected Persy and Kieran a lot, and he didn't like the idea of breaking their trust in him, if there really was any to begin with.
"Let's just hope now we're not dead by the end of dinner or soon after, because I'm sure ring on your finger or not you're father is not going to be happy with me and I'm sure your mother won't be to thrilled either. Honestly I'll be lucky if I walk out of here tonight with my life and my balls intact." he nodded and snorted and little picking Nyx up wedding style and approached the door and allowed Nyx to be the one to knock on it, if he tried the only way he could would be with his head or foot and neither seemed too appealing at the moment.

Nyx laughed. "No isn't a very easy word to say to you though, you know that." she said, giggling as she spoke. She couldn't help but feel a huge relief. After all not only had she finally gotten to tell Jiji her huge secret but he didn't abandon her and leave her to deal with this on her own. Instead he asked her to marry him. They were going to he husband and wife. They were going to be a family.
Nyx laughed nerviously. "Haha I honestly promise nothing. I don't think my father will be too thrilled with the news of me getting married so I'm sure he'll flip his lid when I tell him I'm pregnant. After all he was always sure that he would atleast never have to deal with teenage pregnancy with me as a daughter!" she said and she couldn't help but laugh at it. "Mama wont be thrilled either I'm sure but she wasn't a whole lot older than I am now when she had me soI guess she can't be too horrid about it." she added, giggling as Jiji picked her up. She knocked on the door which left really wierd considering it was her own house.
Persy heard a knock on the door and shook her head. She was pretty sure that it was Nyx simply being silly turned around to open the door. Kieran had just spoken to her, telling her that an issue had come up and he had to leave, leaving the family dinner wittle down to herself, her daughter and her daughters boyfriend. She opened the door, seeing Jiji holding Nyx and raised an eyebrow. "Good evening you two!"

Jiji could feel the cold sweats already on him as the door opened and the pretty face of Nyx's mother appeared and greeted them. "Good evening Ms. Persy!" he said, holding his voice steady, as an Anbu he knew how to withhold his fear, though by all means it was unlikely Persy could do him damage, he was far too well trained, but he wasn't about to learned if hell truly had no fury like a woman scorned and an anger parent over new of a pregnant and now engaged daughter might just be enough to push anyone to the brink.
As he stepped inside and carefully set Nyx down on her feet, he wondered how long it would take Persy to see the shiny ring on Nyx's finger and the sparkling diamond that was sure to quickly catch the light in the room. Looking around he was surprised that Kieran was not there as well, for a moment he let out a mental sigh of relief. The new of his impending fatherhood was still working in his brain and not completely registering just yet, not in full at least. He closed the door for Persy and stripped away his warm jacket and hung it by the door, showing the same well kept vest and a sweater-shirt beneath it to keep him warm against the cold outside. It hadn't snowed yet, but it was likely to snow by Christmas. "Quite cold out there, they say there will be snow by the holiday. Dunno if I'm looking forward to it." he laughed slightly and nodded to Persy. "And how have you and Mr. Kieran been faring? Well I hope." he said hoping to keep the attention away from Nyx, at least for a little bit.

Nyx held onto Jijis hand quite tightly once she was put down, afraid that her mother would see the ring on her finger. She wasn't ready to show her mum the ring just yet, maybe wait atleast till dinner started. After all they needed to pace the news, make sure that the engagement was told first, then the other news. Atleast get the happier news out of the way first. After all the likelyhood was that they were eventually going to be married, or so Nyx had thought anyway. But pregnant? That was never supposed to happen, she was told that never could happen. Here it was though... "Is daddy around? He said he was going to join us for dinner." she asked, looking around.
"Good evening Jiji. It's always a pleasure to see you." Persy said with a smile, glancing over at Nyx, curious. She thought that she had seen something on Nyx' finger, but she thought that it might have just been the light. She looked on, curious for a second but moved on. "It looked quite cold out there this morning. I would say that it will most likely snow tonight." she said with a smile. "But you know you're going to have to keep a close eye on Nyx if it does snow. She gets lost in it!" the red head said with a giggle. She then turned to Nyx and smiled softly. "I'm afraid it's just us three tonight, your father had to cancel. Problems at work I'm afraid." she added, looking between the two. She then looked at Jiji. "Dinner will be ready in a few minutes if you two want to make yourselves comfortable."

He held her hand tightly, the only sign he let out that he was nervous at all. The only person he ever showed any true emotion to anymore was Nyx, even Joshua and Val rarely saw a true hint of emotion out of him, even though they had raised him since his birth. Now with the thought of them he cringed in his mind even more at breaking the news to them, he wasn't sure how Val or Joshua would take the news, but they weren't likely to take it easily and he was going to be in for more than just another long lecture.
Snapping out of his thoughts in time to hear Persy's warming about Nyx and the snow he chuckled and pulled her close. "Oh don't worry, I'll be sure to keep a close eye on her, maybe even tie a bell around her so I can never lose her." he gave a crooked smile and relaxed himself a little with the knowledge that Kieran would not be with them that night. He respected the man dearly, but there was always and should be a fear of the father of one's girlfriend or now in his case fiance. He nodded at Nyx and led her over to the table and pulled out her chair, without ever letting go of her hand. He wasn't sure if he should tell Persy or if he should let Nyx do it. By all means it could go either way, but he would wait a while, allow things to get comfortable before just popping the news on Persy, it was likely to send her into fits or worse if they just told her now.

Nyx squeezed Jijis hand tightly. She knew that he was nervous, obviously she was nervous as well but it was rare to see Jiji show any sign of nerves at all. The female couldn't help but think that she needed to be strong for them, after all she knew the news before him. She needed to be strong and actually tell her mother that this was happening. I mean after all it didn't matter now, everything was in motion now and nothing could be stopped. They were going to get married and she was going to have kittens. This was not going to be stopped and her mother needed to know that.
Nyx giggled as she was pulled closer to him. Everything was going to be alright eventually, she knew it. "I won't get lost! I'm a big girl now, that only happened when I was a baby!" she complained. "Though I suppose a bell would be cute all the same." she added. Persy got the food ready and placed in on the table, sitting down with them and smiling. "So tuck in guys." she said with a smile and starting to eat herself. The conversation stopped and Persy watched them curiously before smiling again. "So...any news?" she asked innocently. Nyx looked over at Jiji and nodded, trying to tell him that now would be a pretty good time to tell her.

Jiji gave a slightly sadistic grin at Nyx at the idea of putting a bell on her and the mere thought of her getting lost in the snow. With her pure white fur, that wouldn't be very hard to do in newly fallen snow, even more so if it were deep enough.
As the food was set down and he was told to eat he did so, with a mouthful of food he sat there happily, but when the words Persy said next came from her mouth, he froze mid-swallow and nearly choked and was forced to quickly recover himself and thumped his fist to his chest. "Sorry, swallowed the wrong way." he gasped and stared down at his plate, any want for food he had was gone now and the plate looked quite unappetizing.
His dark eyes looked at Nyx and he nodded back ever so slightly and took Nyx's hand and looked up to Persy. "Yes, actually, we do have some news." he said quite steadily, thanking all his time with the Anbu and his ability to hold his composure, had he not grown up in such a way he would have been an utter mess, but with all his training that didn't mean in his mind he wasn't a jumbled mess.
"Nyx has agreed to marry me, and I do hope that we have your blessings Ms. Persy. I have thought long and hard over the decision and traveled far to find a cat who could make a ring suitable for Nyx. Never in my life have a felt so deeply for another and I don't believe if I search for a million years I would ever find another." He said sitting himself up a little straighter and proud of himself, knowing with one good look at that ring there was no way Persy could argue otherwise.

Nyx glared at her mother slightly, but laughed all the same. Yeah she had gotten lost in the snow a few times when she was little but she was slightly bigger now and she was certainly less likely to get lost at least. She pouted at Jiji as he grinned at her.
Nyx hadn't started eaten when her mother had spoken but she spluttered when her mother spoke. Nyx knew her mum was very good at picking up on things and she already knew that there was atleast one thing that Nyx wanted to speak about. Usually it made things easier and this time she supposed it did as well, now she didn't have to bring it up.
Persy looked at Jiji, honestly shocked. She had been right but she really wasn't sure what she thought about this. Persy stared at the both of them, looking from one face to the other. She could see that they were serious but...they were so young. Had they been older she wouldn't have minded. She could see that Jiji was very serious about it. She looked at them from one to the other and sighed. "Married? But you two are so young? Why would you rush so much? I understand you both love each other but you have years and years to get married. There's no point in rushing into it. I mean I really enjoy your company Jiji and I do approve of you as my daughters boyfriend but marriage?" she said softly, seriously.
Nyx looked over at Jiji and sighed, looking at her mother and squeezed his hand tightly. Well this would be as good as time as any to tell her. "Well I don't believe we're rushing in Mama but also, we do now have another reason to get married, but Jiji didn't know about it before he proposed to me...Mama..." Nyx looked over at Jiji again, taking a deep breath. "I'm pregnant Mama."
Persy looked at Nyx, her eyes widening, unable to process the information. Nyx, her little baby was pregnant. But how could this be happening. Persy knew better than anyone what Nyx had gone through. how her body was so tired that she was given the diagnosis of sterility. This couldn't be happening. Her baby could be having a baby. She stared at the both of them. "You're what? But how Nyx? You're sterile! And more importantly how are you two going to be able to take care of kittens. You're so young!" she asked her, her voice getting louder and louder. "How are you two going to handle this?" she shouted, simply shocked. Nyx looked over at Jiji, worried, she didn't know the answer to that question.

Jiji chewed his lip and stood up and bowed his head. "Mrs. Persy, I assure you I did not make the decision lightly. And in the light of the situation that is now upon Nyx and myself it seems even more so the right thing to do. Nothing at all could make me turn away from taking care of Nyx." he said looking up and straight at Persy with his piercing dark eyes. There was a deep sense of seriousness in him, there was no way to sway him in his decision.
Pushing back his bangs slightly he straightened himself up even more. "I know this all seems rushed and it's a shock. It's really a shock for all of us, I can assure you of that. But I swear to you by the oath I took to the Anbu, to tattoos on my arm that I will do anything, by any means possible to make sure that Nyx is well taken care off and when the time comes for her to have the kittens she will have the absolute BEST care there is in all of Ikebokuro. I will let absolutely nothing go wrong that I can help." he said clenching his fists tightly and reached up to touch his arm where still slightly fresh under the mark on the Anbu on his arm was a branch of Sakura flowers with Nyx's name printed over it. He was the only one who knew it was there. Maybe it was a fool move, but he knew deep inside him that they belonged together and nothing could ever tear them apart.
With that he sat back down and held himself upright and just stared at his plate, unable to touch the food again yet. His mind and nerves needed to calm down first before he could think of touching it again, even though he knew he was still quite hungry.

Persy sat there with her mouth open slightly. She simply didn't know what to think, what to do. This was all too familiar to her for she was once no older than Nyx and going to bear kittens but it was a surprise all the same. Nyx was sterile, the doctors has assured her of that. They had said there was no way that Nyx would ever, ever be able to have kittens, that she would have to adopt. Persy looked at Nyx, concentrating on her for a few minutes. "Nyx, are you sure? The doctors were fairly definite when they said that you would never be able to have kittens." she said softly. Nyx brushed that aside, slightly annoyed at that response. "The doctors were also positive I wouldn't live past a year old, the doctors were positive I would never be able to dance. I think the one conclusion we can take from this is that doctors are very often wrong Mama." Nyx replied. "Mama if I wasn't positive that I were pregnant I would have never told Jiji, or you, that I am. I am defiantly, positively pregnant." she added, her voice soft but firm. She didn't want her mother to treat her like this, them like this.
Nyx blushed when she heard the firmness of Jijis resolve, of how he was going to do everything he could for her. She had known this was how he had left when he asked her to marry him but hearing him saying it to her mother, being so firm and clear about it, well...she couldn't help but swoon a little. She was so sure that this was the cat she wanted to spend the rest of her life with, to have kittens with. Yes they were young and this was going to be very, very difficult for both of them but they loved each other and that they belonged to each other.
Persy sighed a put her face in her hands. She had to admire Jijis determination and resolve and she could see from how the two looked at each other that the two really and truly loved each other but still. They were so young and Nyx was, well, Nyx. She had to have someone worry about her because she needed worrying about. She sighed again looking up at Jiji. "In light of the situation I suppose this is the best course to take. Now don't get me wrong Jiji, I do believe that you would take wonderful care of my daughter but you must understand, you're both so young for something like this."
To this Nyx shook her. "Well Mama, he's my soulmate. I know this and I don't think that I should stop myself marrying him because we're too young. We belong together." she said simply, squeezing Jijis hand.

He returned the pressure on their hands, he could still feel the tingle in his spine up into his shoulders almost burning with nerves, nerves that didn't show on the exterior. His dark eyes stayed serious, full of his intent, holding steadfast to the words that had come from him, proving beyond them that he meant every syllable that had crossed his tongue.
"I do understand your view of the situation. It's not something to be taken lightly, this is a very large weight being put on all of our shoulders and be it that Nyx and myself are ready or not this is the reality of the matter. We have to deal what has been given to us and taken every moment of it, for good and bad with the best stride that we can." he said relaxing himself a little. His appetite seemed to wane a little as he looked back at his plate. It was a little hard to think about digesting food.
"Nyx, you really should eat, it's not just you that you're eating for anymore." Jiji smiled and ate a small bite to encourage Nyx to do so although his stomach protested a little, he didn't let it show at all. "We've been given a miracle and as much as maybe this isn't the best timing, someone believe we're ready for this and I want to make the most of this and cherish it."
With a deep sigh Jiji allowed himself to relax, his shoulders dropped and his ears as well to a more docile position, though still forward to show that he was listening nonetheless and picked lightly at his plate, taking small bites, but there was a smile on his face, the idea of being a father was a warm feeling that was filling his chest and he liked that feeling.

Persy looked intently at Jiji again. She wasn't happy about the current situation honestly but then she remembered what it was like for her when she discovered she was pregnant. She would have given anything at the time for the assurance that Jijiro was giving her daughter now. She would have given an awful lot to be marrying back then. All the uncertainty made things much more difficult for her but there her daughter way, not much younger than she had been but she was different. Nyx had Jiji and they were in love. They were in love before the kittens were even conceived and the same thing couldn't be said for Persy's kittens as her and Kieran had fallen in love after they were created.
Nyx blushed as Jiji addressed her. It was true, she wasn't just eating for herself any more. Now she was taking care of herself and more, which worried her a tiny bit. Her body wasn't very good at taking care of her, none the less other kittens as well. She nodded and took a mouthful of food. She wasn't very hungry either but she knew that Jiji was right. She then smiled towards Jiji. "I think that we'll be able to be wonderful parents Jiji. And honestly it simply have to be a miracle. The doctors simply can't explain what has happened. They have no idea how it happened so it must be a miracle." she said with a smile towards her husband to be. Yes it was all very daunting now and very frightening but there was always a reason for everything and there had to be a very specific reason why this had happened to them. They were obviously supposed to be parents, they were given a chance.
Persy watched them both and couldn't help but nod. "As to marriage I suppose I simply have to give you my blessing, I think that I would be stupid to not give you my blessing and I'll help you both in any way I can." she then looked at Jiji and smirked. "You'd better take good care of my daughter because if you think Kieran seems scary you haven't seen me protecting my kits." she winked.

Jiji looked at Persy a little warily and flickered an ear. "I assure you in my hands there will no better care anywhere." he said dipping into the food again and continuing to coax Nyx into eating at least a decent meal, he knew all too well she often ate like a bird. "Though I do admit I do have great respect and a reasonable amount of...fear wouldn't be the right word, but either way I assure you I am no threat to the either of you unless I'm given a damn good reason to be. But in the mean time you all are in quite the good graces with Anbu and have their full protection." he said with a smile.
He didn't always like knowing he was attached to the Anbu, it made his so set apart from the others of Ikebokuro who just went about their lives worrying about regular day to day deals and their own territories, but being part of East and one of the Anbu meant ALL of Ikebokuro was theirs to worry about. But it was the life he had decided to accept and thus he accepted the responsibilities that went with the rigorous training he had sought. With a litter on the way now, his priorities would be changing now. Before he would have to lessen his rounds and possibly even give up his life long obsession with taking down his father. Nyx and the kittens were much more important to him now, and would mean even more over time.
"Thank you though, I do appreciate that we have your blessing in this. I only hope Mr. Kieran will accept as well and not murder me. Though at least I would be quite useless to Nyx and the little ones dead." he nodded, but he knew all too well there were things that could be done to him that were almost worse than death.

Persy nodded. "I won't disagree Jijiro." she said softly. She knew that Jijiro would take amazing care of her daughter but she was still worried. This was Nyx he was talking about though. This was her frail little daughter who had had to struggle through everything she had ever done in her life. This was the daughter whom Persy had watched come back from the brink of death time and time again. It was very difficult for her to simply say that Jijiro would now take care of her, although she knew that he would do a very good job of it. "I don't mean to come off as threatening you Jijiro but Nyx is very, very precious to us both you see, as I'm sure you know." she added softly, taking a bite of her food. She didn't want her baby leaving her completely, even though Nyx had long since moved to the University she had still been over almost every chance she had gotten to spend time with her and her father. She then smiled "It's nice to know we're in the good books in Anbu, I would be genuinely terrified if we weren't" she said, laughing slightly.
Nyx ate slowly although she certainly didn't want to but with the coaxing from Jiji she did her best to eat everything on her plate. She had never had a huge appetite but when she became a ballet dancer she also had to watch her figure carefully. En point dancers needed to weight around 99 pounds or less so that they could control their weight on one point easier. She had never really had a problem with keeping her figure before but now that had chanced. She was supposed to gain weight, to put on weight and this was a completely new concept to the cat. She secretly worried about how long it would take her to get figure back and get her weight back down to the ideal. She tried to put that out of her mind though, if she kept thinking about it she would have more problems eating.
Persy couldn't help but smirk at Jijis comment. "Well now I can't speak for Kieran but I will do be best to deter him from murdering you. After all I think it would upset Nyx at the very least and that cat does not like to upset his daughter." she said with a grin. She knew that Kieran would not take the news well but at the same time the female couldn't help but feel that at the very least Kieran would approve of Jijiros character.
