OH trust me, I understand, I've had my fair share of drawing things in my time. I'm also a prefectionist, so most things I draw I wind up hating >_> Even with a tablet and photoshop it doesn't get any easier. What a lot of people don't realize is that drawing, even on a medeocre level is HARD as is, let alone sitting for days with a pencil in study hall working on a drawing that is a picture of a mushroom that I found in my front yard with a fly on it and I decided to draw it and spent my days going *peckpeckpeck* with my pencil to get the D@MNED TEXTURE...
I was rambling, but yes I understand animation is hard. Fun Fact: It takes Pixar 9 hours to make 1 frame of footage! That's why Toy Story 3 looks so good though lol. I'm usually impressed with good fanimes, I did enjoy this fanime, oh yes, I just wish they had edited the original footage to look like the edited footage. I could pick it out right away >_>
But yeah, I can tell that it took a long time to make. I'm not sure how big their team is, but I know that it's non-profit so I don't expect things to come out soon. I was just wondering if there was a release date....ish for a second episode. There already are a lot of doujinshi and fanimes out there that never make it past episode/chapter one so it would be nice to follow one that actually got somewhere. 3nodding

I saw no sign of an approximate date when I viewed it, but that was a couple months ago... I need to go back and look around again. ^^;

Fun fact: That's why I don't work for Pixar. rofl
I'm assuming you mean cumulative hours, right? Adding together the time of each team member to the entire frame? I mean, I hate to think the last guy in line who strings the frames together has to sit in his office and twiddle his thumbs for nine hours just for one frame every day. XD

I don't think I ever uploaded that pic >_> it's just pencil so my scanner would murder it! :C the picture I took may be on my DA though.
And yes, basically the team takes 1 day to make 1 frame. They usually have a group for characters, a group for backgrounds, a group for animation...and etc. It takes a lot of people cooperating at once to make the film and then they all come together to make the shot. That's why it takes YEARS for movies to go from ideas to full feature animated films. I've fiddled with animation myself before and it takes hours to do simple movements. D: I also hate .gif because I can never seem to get not-fuzzy animations. Of course their's programs but they loves to crash on me. D: And then all the sudden you realize why budget is a problem when making these things. XD
That's why I love fan made manga and anime so much, I appreciate the hard work for little to no profit. Sometimes you get recognition but you can't really live off of that, so it's all volunteer when you think about it. heart
