Hearing Riyo's soft good bye, Mitsu's eyes flew wide as she turned toward the girl. She had been so lost in her own thoughts she had never once thought that Riyo might have to leave. "R...Riyo." She stood from her seat suddenly, eyes looking panicked as he mother pulled her toward the door. What would she do now? Who would be there? Was everyone destined to leave her? "...but you can't.....leave." She trailed off as the door closed behind Riyo and her mother. Was she just being selfish.....to need her so much?
Hand clutching her shirt just above her chest like she was having difficulty breathing, she turned to the headmaster. Her eyes were still wide and panicked, especially seeing Riyo's expression in the end. She didn't know a lot on the situation...but she seemed so scared. "D...does she really have to go?" Her eyes looked like they were threatening to tear up.
"Don't worry, my Dear," Suto said calmly, looking at the door Riyo and her mother had just vanished behind. "It will be taken care of." He already had measures in place. "I'm sure that her mother is merely frustrated. Given some....time...I'm sure she'd understand." Or she'd hopefully snap before she left and give reason for them to keep Riyo here. He hoped that what Riyo had said in the video was no exaggeration. If those scars were any indication....he was certain it wasn't.
Klyde jumped to his feet as well as Riyo was pulled out the door, a sense of panic seeing her mother drag her away. As her eyes fell on him before she left he looked utterly remorseful for what he had done. Dear god, what should he do?
Seeing his son suddenly jump from his seat, Mr. McBane raised a brow. "Don't get any ideas now." He said softly before he nodded to the headmaster and Suto before taking his leave.
Tessa let out and exasperated sigh. It was finally over but it didn't seem she had managed to get out of anything. And the punishment was rather retched.
"My Dear Sweet Girl," Her mother cooed. "What would you like us to do?"
Tessa rolled her eyes at her mother. Really, she wasn't a baby anymore, but still. Having her parents wrapped around her little finger had its advantages. "Come Mommy, Daddy, let's....talk for a while before you go." She smiled sadly at them before taking their hands and leading them out of the room. There would be much more in store for these low level peasants.

Riyo's eyes filled with red tears as her mother dragged her down the hall, a rush to her step that hadn't been there previously. She was angry. What she showed on the outside was usually multiplied 10x inside... So seeing her like this was a nightmare.
"W-what about my stuff?" Riyo asked meekly.
"Oh, you won't need it where you're going." Anne immediately shot back at her, the hand firmly holding her growing tighter.
Riyo's eyes widened. She was right. Goddamnit, she'd been right. There was probably a fool-proof plan she'd come up with to make her death look like an accident or a suicide... And there was nothing Riyo could do.
Red tears started flowing down her cheeks when she realized she was going to die just like she'd predicted.
Seeing this in the corner of her eye, Anne took on a look of disgust. "Stop it now, you filthy little creature. I'm the one who has to put up with your s**t. I've spent thousands of dollars for you to go to nice schools, and what do you do? You slit open some boys throat. You're an ungrateful little b***h. No wonder your father left."
Riyo's red eyes hurt from the tears flowing out of her eyes, and her heart hurt from the turmoil of the situation she'd been put in...
But between the physical and emotional pain she felt, something just snapped.
'Go out with a bang...'
"I hate you." Riyo forced out quietly, not even thinking about what she was saying or the repercussions of her words... Until she said them... But... It felt so good...
Anne stopped dead in her tracks as those words caught her ears. Squeezing her daughter's arm tightly, her eyes seemed to light up with fury. One Riyo was quite familiar with. "What did you say?" She asked through her teeth.
Riyo stared at her in awe of the situation. For the first time in her life, she'd said something to her mother...
"I hate you! I hate you so much! You're the reason I'm so ******** up, not whoever the hell my father is!" She shouted, eyes full of fear, anger, and sadness at the same time.
Anne stood silent for a moment, free fist clenching and shaking at the pressure put upon it.
Then faster than anyone could blink, she'd drawn back her fist to hit Riyo square in the stomach.
"The feeling is mutual." She hissed as she watched her daughter double over.
Riyo's legs caved under her as she felt her tender stomach rip, blood slowly trickling out of her mouth from the internal bleeding. It hurt so much... Everything... Hurt so much...
Desmond didn't pay attention as his parents left, he was too busy tearing himself up on the inside at the sight of Mitsu breaking down over Riyo.
though... Suto's comment caught his attention. He looked at the man, confused about what he meant. Had... He known this was going to happen? No, that's impossible...

Jogging, Blade could see the two down the hall. They were sure walking pretty quickly, but it wasn't too hard to keep up. Even then, he wasn't certain how close he wanted to get. Most of the words said, he couldn't hear, at least until Riyo started screaming. And the next thing he knew, she had been struck, hard in the stomach.
Eyes widening, he could see drops of red hit the floor coming from the girl.
"Get the ******** away from her!" he shouted before launching a fireball right at the woman from down the hall. His pace had picked up to try and reach the two. Even if he hadn't been Riyo and someone else he sort of knew and didn't dislike, he probably would have still stepped up upon seeing this.
Suto's comment also caught Hakim's attention and he had to wonder just what the teacher was thinking of.
"Mitsu, please stay here for a little longer as I need to have a word with you. The rest of you are dismissed," he said to the students, seeing how it was over now. It pained him to see the wolf girl so distressed... the incoming news would no doubt make things worse but she had to be told.
Frowning as Mitsu was breaking down, Shun got up and gave her a gentle pat on the shoulder, "Take deep breaths."

Neko was about frustrated with this wild goose chase that Suto had him on. There had been a list of little problems he was supposed to look for and when he found them they weren't really problems at all. Ready to head back in the building to let the science teacher have a piece of his mind, Neko walked through the door just in time to see Riyo getting punched in the gut. Just as she doubled over, blood spewing out her mouth, Neko's eyes went wide from the random fireball. Now what kind of ******** mess had he walked in on?
"Hey, what the hell do you think you're doing lady?" Neko hissed as he stepped up trying to move between Riyo and her mother. He looked back to see if Riyo was okay, but he was a little doubtful. She probably needed medical attention.
Mitsu was ready to go out the door too, maybe plea with Riyo's mother to let her stay, but Hakim had told her to wait. "I uh....but....." Taking a deep breath as Shun instructed her too she reluctantly stood in place while the others left, her arms coming up to wrap around herself. Maybe she would call her brother after this. See why he wasn't here...and maybe find out what she should do.
As soon as his father was gone Klyde all but rushed out the door. He didn't care if Riyo would be mad at him, he had to make sure she was okay and as he got closer and the scent of blood hit his nose...he was assured that it was not. Cursing slightly he stopped his breathing as he continued to approach, Blade well ahead of him in his game. It also appeared that....the janitor was up ahead?

Anne was about to take Riyo's shoulder to yank her back up, but a voice coming down the hall caught her attention... Along with a fireball. "WHAT THE ********?!" She screamed, patting down her now seared clothing and furiously looking back down at Riyo.
"Well, looks like you finally made some friends. How sweet." She hissed, drawing back a leg to give her daughter a good kick, only to have Neko step in and take it instead.
Well, the cat was out of the bag now. Her career was ruined. Everything... Was ruined.
"I'm getting rid of a mistake." Anne said, gritting her teeth. "This little demon spawn that's made my life hell, and undoubtedly she'll do the same to everyone else if she gets the chance. So move out of the way. I brought her into this world, and I have the right to take her out." There was insanity in those blue eyes as she spoke. Riyo's demon side may not have been from her mother, but some might wonder if her sadistic nature didn't spawn from the years spent with Anne.
As the pain began to overtake Riyo, she curled up on the floor sobbing and coughing up blood. "S-she's gonna kill me..."
As Hakim gave them permission to leave, Desmond hesitantly stood up, giving one last glance to Mitsu... Before leaving.
Why had she been alone today? Did her brother have other things to take care of?
He could only imagine... How utterly alone she must feel...
That being his last thought as he left the room, he stood outside of it for a few moments before continuing his slow, miserable walk back to his room.

Thankfully Neko had shown up in time as well. Needless to say, Blade was ready to burn the crazy woman further if he had to, but first it may be a good idea to get Riyo a little farther away.
"You're crazy woman," he muttered to Anne before crouching down next to Riyo to try and see how badly hurt she was. He didn't see any external damage, but she seemed to be coughing up quite a bit of blood.
"You're going to be alright," he tried to tell her, deciding it to be a bad idea to try and drag her away lest he end up making her injuries worse. Instead he just stood by, staring up at her insane mother.
Sighing lightly, Hakim waited for the room to clear out before taking a few steps towards Mitsu.
"That phone call earlier was from your neighbor, Mitsu. It seems that someone had broken into your home and your brother is nowhere to be found," he said quietly, "I'm sorry to bear this news, but if I find out anything further I will let you know immediately."

Neko gave a grunt as Anne's foot made contact with his shin, the pain radiating up his leg. He never imagined he would be witness to child abuse, nor the one trying to intervene. And this lady, she seemed a little out of her mind at the moment. He glanced back to see Blade was with Riyo, since she had someone with her he took a step toward the mother. "I don't know what the hell is going through your mind at the moment, but I can wager this isn't the first time this has happened."
Shadows began to pool at his feet like ink as he moved a little closer. In another step that inky substance start to move toward Anne. He intended to restrain her with it. "I think you may need to wait here....for just a little while longer." At least until the police showed up.
"M...my brother...is missing?" As the words start to sink in Mitsu panicked. "H...he can't be missing. W...why would someone take him?" Her vision turned toward Suto for a moment just before her eyes grew a little wider. He made no indication it was him, there was no smile or nod, but there was something there that told Mitsu he was the cause. Making a mad dash for her school bag she pulled out her cell phone. It wasn't anything fancy but she immediately dialed her brother's number with shaky hands and waited. It continued to ring and ring before the answering machine picked up. Closing the phone Mitsu tried again, her eyes tearing up in the process.
"He always picks up his phone..." She stammered. "Always..." She tried again but it was the same thing.
Klyde had nearly made it to the scene of the incident when he noticed Riyo was in bad shape. "s**t..." He hissed. Looking between all parties present he rushed back down the hall and flung the office door open again looking straight at Hakim. "We need some help out here!" His voice sounded like it was about to go out as he spoke. "Riyo is hurt and bad!" His ears caught a hint of crying as he looked toward Mitsu hovering over his phone trying to make a call. What had happened in here?

Anne's insanity only seemed to grow when she saw what Neko was doing, taking a few steps back. "Oh, you're one of those freaks. I see. Freaks gotta stick together, huh?" She asked, quickly scrambling to get her purse open and...
Pulled out a gun...
It wasn't just one of those p***y guns women carried around either. It was a magnum. "Never told you I took gun classes, did I Riyo?" She asked, smiling as she pointed the loaded gun at Neko. "I took it in case you tried to come at me like this idiot."
She could feel the situation coming back to her side of the court, a cruel smile on her face. "Now sir, move. Either you can take the bullet, or she can. It's your prerogative."
Riyo looked up to Blade as he spoke to her, though she could barely make out the words. The chaos of the situation was getting to her. Making her sick.
Though, she couldn't help but notice the gun. Her mother's words came through as fast and damaging as the bullets held in the chamber.
"Get out of the way!" She shouted to Neko, reaching out to grab his pant leg. "For the love of God, don't try to protect-" another cough of blood cut her off from what she was trying to say. Selfless Riyo wasn't... But if somebody got shot and killed trying to defend her... She wouldn't know how to deal with it.

Blade's dark red eyes widened as the woman pulled out a gun. She really was insane! His gaze darted from the deadly weapon to Neko, to Riyo, then back to the gun. Gritting his teeth, he tried to scoop up the girl as carefully and as quickly as he could to retreat back towards Hakim's office with her. Moving targets were always harder to hit after all.
He just really hoped he wouldn't end up getting shot in the back here.
The dragon's eyes softened as Mitsu reacted as he thought she would. Placing his hands onto her shoulders, he tried to get her to calm down.
"We don't know... Like I said, I'll let you know as soon as I find out more. But for now, just pray he's alright. In.. the meantime you may take a short leave to gather your things from your home to here," he said before looking up as Klyde burst back into the room. Furrowing his brow at the mention of Riyo being injured, he quickly moved on out.
"Where is she?" he asked, hoping Klyde could lead them to the situation.

Neko's eyes narrowed as the woman pulled out a gun, his steps wavering only slightly. Feeling something catch his pant leg, he managed to hear Riyo's plea but he ignored it. He wasn't about to let this woman shot her, not when he could more than likely survive a fatal blow.
"You can try to shot me, but I hope you have good aim." He growled as the black matter he controlled continued until it was at Anne's feet. With swift movement it started to make its way up to bind her in place and keep her from moving.
He could hear movement behind him so he hoped Blade was moving Riyo out of this place and getting her somewhere safe. With any luck he could handle this.
Steering his thoughts back to the matter at hand, Klyde stepped aside so that Hakim could maneuver out the door. "This way!" He called quickly leading Hakim back down the hall toward where Riyo and her mother were. When he got within sight he saw the situation had gone from bad to worse. He started to open his mouth to call out Riyo's name to see if she was okay but his voice failed him, finally going out.
And suddenly Mitsu was left alone with only Suto in the room. Tears beginning to fall down her cheeks she looked at her phone before she finally closed it.
"I wouldn't worry, I'm sure he's still alive," Suto said in a strangely calm voice as he walked over to Mitsu. "Come, I'll take you to your house to gather your things." He smiled placing his hand on her shoulder.
Flinching at the touch Mitsu dropped her phone back in her bag. With a bit of hesitation she picked up her things and turned toward Suto with her eyes downcast. Not a word was spoken as she followed the science teacher out of the building.

"Let-" Riyo couldn't finish her plea to Blade as the coughs kept coming, her arms struggling to try and beg Neko not to be a hero. She didn't want this. She didn't want people dying to try and save her sad little life.
As the man kept coming, Anne continued to try and step back... Until it reached her feet. "********!" She shouted, immediately cocking the gun and shooting at him. The kickback, however, was unexpected. She had practiced with itty bitty pistols. This was a big boy gun... And it definitely sent her back to the ground.
Hearing the loud gunshot ring through the air, Riyo screamed hysterically. It was as if whatever gods had their eye on her used her as a grand source of entertainment, continuing to poke and prod with these situations to get a reaction. And she just couldn't take it anymore...

The gunshot ringing through the hall made Blade flinch, but he didn't look back. Neko could handle her... right? As he ran with Riyo, he soon saw Klyde and Hakim running down the hall towards them.
Alarmed by the noise, the dragon's pace had picked up. He could see Blade running with the girl in his arms, and not far behind were Neko and the mother. Was that woman really shooting at them? Either way he wouldn't stand for this. He could see that Riyo was not very well off here and unfortunately his healing magic would only likely harm her more than help.
"Take her to Atticus," he ordered the thief before moving to deal with the crazy with the gun.
"Stop this at once!" he bellowed down the hall. If she did not heed this warning, well.. then perhaps she'd get a taste of what an ancient dragon could do.

Neko let out a yell as the bullet went through his upper chest by his shoulder and hit the wall directly behind him, blood seeping down his front. Her aim was a bit better than expected, any lower and she would have hit his heart. Thankfully she didn't seem to be quite in control of the recoil as the gun sent her back to the floor. Pressing a hand to the wound Neko tried his best to focus his shadows up toward her hands to bind them while she was down.
"Are you ******** crazy lady?" He hissed, icy blue eyes clouding over with swirling gray. "What the hell is going through your head?"
Klyde flinched hearing Riyo scream hysterically. It was a sound that tore at his already gaping wound. Stepping aside so that Blade could get by to get her to safety, he immediately stepped in the path behind him so that he would be effectively blocked from sight. It was really the best he could do and it upset him to realize that.

The fact that she had hit somebody didn't seem to deter Anne from her attitude. As the shadows crept up her arms, she tried to shake them off to no avail. Unlike Riyo, her strength was that of a normal person.
"Let go of me you b*****d!" She shouted, the gun falling out of her hand and on the floor.
Atticus had heard the bullet rip through the air, and had been about to leave with his bag to see if anybody was hurt, but it appeared that they'd already been brought to his office.
The doctor's usually calm eyes widened as he saw Riyo in a state of both physical and emotional distress. "Get her in." he called quickly, holding the door open. As soon as she was on the bed, he started frantically looking her over. "were you shot?" He asked clearly, voice louder than usual.
Riyo looked up at him with red tear-filled eyes, reluctantly shaking her head as she realized that while she hadn't, Neko had, and it made her sob.
Atticus visibly frowned. He hadn't seen her like this in a long time. Reaching up to place a hand on her cheek, he tried to wipe some of the blood off her face with his thumb. "It was your mother, wasn't it?"
She didn't have to respond. The distress in her face told him everything. Lifting up her shirt with a frown, his thoughts of what it might've been had been right. Her stomach had a nasty bruise where her big scar was. What a low blow.
Looking up at the two boys, his expression didn't change. "So did anybody actually get shot?" He asked as he moved over to his medical cabinet.

Quickly rushing into the office, Blade set Riyo down onto the bed so Atticus could take a look at her. Breathing heavily from having run as fast as he could, he nervously glanced back towards the door before turning his attention back to the others. It wasn't easy to see Riyo in such distress; the looks on her face on Halloween were hard enough but this was a step higher from that if it was even possible.
"I... I think Neko did..." the thief said quietly. He recalled hearing the janitor cry out in pain but he hadn't looked back to check. Hopefully he didn't take a critical hit.
"She's going to be alright.. right?" he asked while looking down at the girl. This had been the one who walked away from getting mauled by a bear so he figured she should survive. Her general panic and distress was getting to him though.
Hakim quickly joined the others, seeing that Neko had successfully restrained the woman.
"I'll take over from here, are you alright Neko?" asked the dragon, noticing that he had taken a hit. He was fairly aware of the janitor's capabilities and his regenerative powers, so he wasn't overly concerned, "As for you, Anne. Your daughter is most certainly safer with us. I will not allow you to take Riyo."
As if on cue, many white flames sprouted up around the fallen woman to create a sort of cage. Of course, she could technically still get up from where she was, but not without setting herself ablaze and getting some really nasty burns. Grimacing, Hakim brought out a phone to call the authorities so they could take this crazy woman off their hands.
