I also don't usually go outside of the guild when I come to Gaia...

I've noticed too that forums have gotten more hostile. I've rarely wanted to participate in events not only because my lack of interest since my first (Benevolent Order, actually) and because people are being antipathetic towards everyone without much reason. Though I will say, the Benevolent Order has been the friendliest and most welcoming and most kindest place I've ever been to/talking to online. It's the truth

Evasion Wolf I've noticed too that forums have gotten more hostile. I've rarely wanted to participate in events not only because my lack of interest since my first (Benevolent Order, actually) and because people are being antipathetic towards everyone without much reason. I basically stopped going to the forums a couple of years ago.
I'll drop by the quest subforum every once in a while to donate and such,
but that's it.
As much as I love debating, the debate forum is filled with the same old
topics as ever, and probably the same arguments over and over when there
are 50+ pages of responses.
Other than that, I stick to my guilds.
It's weird growing up and seeing how younger people act on the internet.
Lots of aggression and inflated senses of importance.

EDITFTW: ...hell with that, I wasnt' that much of a jerk even when I discovered this place/the internet in general when I was 12ish. Maybe a noob, but not a jerk

Maybe a noob, but not a jerk I was always civil. Mainly just a lot of empty chat.
I remember a few asshats, but nowhere near as many as I see now
when I'm only passing through.
Of course, I'm 21 now, so if I run into one of those people I can simply
GO BUY BOOZE AND DRINK AWAY ALL MY PROBLEMS AHAHA*
