"Well, no harm unless I fall asleep alone again, right?" She was having to bounce a little to keep up pace with the larger fox, but it was more fun than work for her. "I don't know about my mum, I got lost as a kit during a..." And just like that, her dream came rushing back to Champagne. Lost in that memory of the horrid nightmare, she tripped and rolled, but when she stopped she just sat there, staring at the ground. "A... thunder...storm..." The vixen finished quietly. "Stupid... stupid bug..."

He stopped and looked back at her blinking, "You tripped over a bug?" He was amazed that such a feat could be accomplished. But he would never kick someone while they were down. Leaning toward the vixen he picked her up by the scruff of her neck and deposited her safely on her paws. "I am sorry about your mother....I am sure that she searched for you...it is a shame that she never found you. But you have done splendidly for yourself...I am sure she would be proud of you." He flashed her a reassuring smile.

The vixen smiled up at the Phim. "No, I tripped over my paws... When I was a kit, I chased a firefly too far away from my den and then a storm came..." Her smile faded, her paw moving a small rock around. "That's what I was dreaming before I woke up to you guarding me..." Shaking her head so hard her ears flapped, Champagne forced the thought out of her head and went back to being bouncy.
"You think so? Mother would be proud? I hope so. Actually though, I don't think she looked for me. I was an older kit, almost an adult really, and I was always so adventurous... Then again there was a storm, so maybe she did! I've been trying to find my way back home, but lately I'm not sure if I should go back. I like wandering, meeting new foxes and seeing new places, it's so much fun!" Champagne was now grinning, her tail wagging happily.

"Well I can say for certain that i am glad that you haven't headed home yet...If you had I might never have met you....and that would be a tragedy. I fell like we will be great friends." He smiled down at her warmly. "I hope you would consider to come back and visit me from time to time....It can get a bit lonely out here by myself......And I'm afraid I am not much of an adventurer so I stick pretty close to my domain."
