There. Now if Lily went tumbling, she had a better chance to catch her. Perfect !
"I do a lot of roller-blading in the summer, so I guess it helps." She gave a few strokes, doing her best to remember to keep a place easily followed by her current partner. How long would Ashley remember to do just that ? Who knew ! It was a stroke of luck she had thought of it to begin with.
"I know what you mean, soccer feels like work sometimes." She rolled her eyes. "Especially when the other girls start getting all hissy. Wish they would let me on the boys' team, I bet they don't complain that much."

Lily nodded at Ashley, "I use to ice skate once a week, but there was one of those terrorist attacks here while I was here and well it was a bit terrifying. I stopped coming, then I had SATs and then a family thing, plus a summer away," she said in one rushed breath.
"I am just getting back to the rink. Winter has me thinking about skating often now."
Lily noses scrunched slightly as she frowned her face up momentarily at Ashley's comment. "That would be very awkward now, would it not. Not only that I have seen boys throw amazing fit over thing." Of course Lily was thinking about ballet auditions and not soccer, but figured it did not really matter.
Lily frowned as a boy flew by her making her feel shakey and knew she needed to come again soon. Her early confidance fading slightly with each mistake. She was happy for Ashlry's hand in the moment.

"Stupid terrorists making it s**t for everyone, uh ?" Ashley muttered to herself, then sighed. "I've never gotten caught in any of that s**t, thankfully." There were rumors of monsters, even. Monsters ! What the hell ? She still had doubts on that one.
All this s**t had made it harder to find a good party. Sigh.
"Im not sure how they can beat a little princess whining because she broke a freaking nail." Ashley rolled her eyes. Little princesses like that had no place on a soccer field !
She held onto Lily's hand still, but was starting to pick up the pace without really noticing that she was.

Lily shook her head, trying to seem genuinely in agreement with her, but she was frowning because it sucked that she was thought of as a terrorist, even though no one knows she is senshi, well aside from her teammates.
"Trust me, it was not at all fun and I almost got caught in the crossfire of extreme weirdness trying to get out. I swear I saw the ice move, like a shark fin, I must have he really panicked. I do not think I have ever run so fast. Bet it was just an illusion though, a distraction. I think the terrorist kidnapped someone." Okay so she was seriously fabricating the tale, well save for the shark fin, but it was fun to talk about it from a civilian point of view.
Lily laughed at Ashleys statement, grinning slightly and not really noticing the shift in speed, but simply matching it as she calmed and regained a bit of her confidence, "At least it was a boy whining because his pirouette isn't just so."

Saw the ice move ? Okay, Ashley couldn't help but rise an eyebrow at this. Defintively some kind of illusion - ice didn't move like that. "That's really, really weird." And could be potentially dangerous if they could make you see s**t that didn't exist. Maybe the monsters she had also heard about were also illusions ?

That wasn't the important thing, however - the important thing was skating, of course ! "That's kind of a stupid thing to b***h about." Maybe part of why she'd never gotten in ballet.

Lily nodded to the weirdness statement, but responded, "There are stranger things on youtube." In reality she hadn't checked, but she'd seen civilians recording the halloween fiasco. Idiots. Could have been killed.
She continued keeping pace with Ashley and enjoying the conversation, but a tiny bit insulted by her statement. Not overly since Lily had brought it up, but just in that ballets moves aren't always easy to learn and perfect.
"Yes, true, but everyone is different. Pirouettes aren't easy for everyone. I think I pitch a fit if I couldn't get a note just so while singing. And I bet there is something you would pitch a fit about too." She was smiling obviously not angry, the insulted feeling having fell away while she spoke.
Lily let go of Ashley's hand feeling she was solid again and wouldn't fall. Next time she wouldn't get so over zealous right off.

"Like that Halloween ball thing ?" Yes, there had been indeed civilian recordings. Ashley had apparently seen them. The purple-haired girl, however, hadn't been there - she had been quite grounded. (Thank you, mom.) "That went apeshit ! Seriously, it was raining pretty much water ice fire meteor heart go planet, as far as you could see on the clips. Do you think that was also all an illusion ?" Yep, she was clueless.
If she noticed that she had just insulted her newfound friend, she showed nothing of it. Instead, she just laughed. "Ill give you that one. Oh, but, you sing ? That's amazing ! I just zoom about like a gopher on speeds. Or so my brother says."

Lily nodded raising an eyebrow at the intuitive girl, "Yes, just like that actually and no I certain it wasn't an illusion. I went with some friends and when we escaped I had bloodied ears and my friend a broken arm. I have been wary of going out, but I do not wish to become a hermit right. Destiny City is full of weird things and my parents aren't going anywhere, so I have to live with it."
Lily nearly stumble at Ashley's excitement, but it was just slightly and hardly noticable. "Oh, yes I love to sing. I want to be a pop star and sing for millions. It would be so much fun and I would get to share my talent with the world. Can you imagine, Liliana in concert, coming soon to Destiny City."
Lily was going to graduate this year and start college and she would be one step closer to her goal. She would be a singer if it was the last thing she did.
She sighed, "It's a far off dream though, still have to finish high school and college, but I will do it. I'm sure of it." Being the senshi of song, made her more sure.

"Jeez..." All that real ? And she and her friend had gotten hurt ? Wow ! "I hope your friend's doing okay... That's horrible, im sorry."
She honestly hoped this kind of thing would never happen to her. It sounded awful ! All you were out for being a good time then... Bam ! Terrorists in your party.
"Ohhhhh, I bet you sing so well ! I definitively want to hear you sometime !" Ashley made a quick dash, and now was more or less carrying poor Lily along, though her grip on her hand had become a little firmer so that the redhead wouldn't fall - not enough to be uncomfortable, or at least she hoped. "Im not too sure what I want to do, myself... But I have another year to figure it out." Though honestly, trying for a college in another city didn't sound like such a bad idea now...

Lily nodded, "Yeah, he's alright." She honestly did not know and that made her from. He was her cousin and after not knowing about him her whole life, she felt very bad to not know who his arm was coming along. She would have to make a note to call him and make sure at some point soon.
Lily frowned as Ashley picked up speed. Quite frankly, she wasn't use to go so fast. No Ashley's pace was definitely not Lily's and her grip on Lily's hand had tightened, not uncomfortably so, but noticeably so. It made Lily a bit worried. Did the girl know she was speeding up?
"If you would like to hear me, you could come to Hindsight. It is a new karaoke place. I have been thinking of going, since so many have been talking about it a school. It would be a lot of fun," she said happy to hear Ashley wanted to hear her. It seemed she might have made a new friend and for the moment she forgot about her awkward speed and being dragged around the rink.
Lily nodded when Ashley said she did not know what to do with herself, but smiled and looked at the girl, "Don't worry you will figure it out. I myself am waiting on a letter, oh a letter from Destiny City University to see if I will be excepted for next fall. I am very excited and really hope they say yes. Who knows maybe in a year you will decide you want to go there too. There are so many options out there who knows what one will do for sure."

"Hindsight, uh ?" Ashley pondered out loud. "I might drop by sometime... as long as you don't make me sing." Because like hell. Nope. She wasn't gonna do it.
At least, she certainly wasn't gonna do it sober, and she doubted she'd been able to fool anybody. Shame, that. She really needed to figure out this fake id business...
"Yeah, im not too worried, I still have a lot of time to figure things out. I really hope you get accepted ! Do they give singing classes here, or are you gonna study something else ?"

Lily laughed lightly trying not to stumble at their currently speed, "Do not worry. I will not make you sing if you do not wish to, though trust me it is a lot of fun even if you can not sing. Its like American Idol, auditions that is."
She continued to giggle lightly at the fact that it really was and there were a lot of people in Destiny City that couldn't sing, but did loudly and extremely off key. It was a bit painful, Lily did not think she be able to do what they did and come away with her diginity in tact.
"Thank you. I really hope I get excepted as well. They do have a music program which I will be undertaking, but I have to be realistic, so I will be studying veterinary science as well. I really love animals. I rescued a dog named Eamon' from the animal shelter where I volunteer."

"That sounds like a lot of work." Music and vet science ? Vet science enough was kind of an undertaking, at least that was what she'd got out of orientation class. She'd pondered it, actually, but then decided that it would probably better for her to do something else with her life. She couldn't stand to see an animal in pain, after all.
"I have a dog ! Well, my parents have a dog, though im the one that walks him." One could wonder, as Ashley kept on skating circles around the ice rink, who actually tired out first - her, or the dog. "His name is Ethan, he's a golden retriever. Big giant doggy plush."

Lily shook her head, but thought that it couldn't be as hard as keeping up with Ashley as she began to tire and was being literally pulled along now. She was enjoying herself, but wow, how could the girl keep such a pace. She heard what Ashley had said earlier, but how long had the pair been skating.
"It will be worth it in the end," she answered her breathing quickened slightly. She had quite the endurance, being a senshi and all, but she also lacked good sleep for that reason.
Lily smiled at the mention of the dog, her smile growing at the mention of breed and the name. Their dog's were very similar. "Eamon' is a golden retriever as well, a bit beat up, from bad previous owners, but he happy now. Happy and lazy."
Lily huffed at the last statement and then voiced that she was starting to get tired. "I do not think I can keep skating at this pace. I need to take a break."

Ashley listened, though she did not seem to pick up on the fact that her new friend was starting to tire out. She frowned when Lily mentioned that her dog had been abused by his previous owner. "Im glad you found him." She said, meaning every word of it. "And I hope the piece of trash that harmed him got what it deserved." She huffed.
"Aw..." At last, she seemed to get it - rather than continue her loops, she lead Lily back so she could sit on the bench and rest. Ashley didn't sit, though, and instead leaned against the fence.
Had she known what a senshi was, or the fact that she could outlast one, she might have been proud of herself.
"Want me to get you a hot cocoa ?" It was only a quick skate to the other side, anyway.
