Klyde rolled his eyes hearing their conversation. "So you'll believe some things from books but not others." Shifting the bag on his shoulder he smiled a bit as he gestured toward the door. "I hope you found something good.....after you."

"Right....credible sources." Klyde had to chuckle because credible sources were few and far between. There wasn't a lot that was true about vampires and a few things were greatly exaggerated.

Following Poke outside Klyde looked over the area she had decided that this little duel would take place in. It looked fairly well hidden, not many teachers came back this way. Setting his backpack off to the side he stepped up and just stood there. He took no stance he merely waited. "Okay, I guess I'm ready." He shrugged lightly. "Ladies first."

Klyde watched Poke ready herself by getting into a stance. He wasn't sure what she was waiting for at first but she eventually started to move. At her break neck speed they would possibly be done with the fight by the end of the week.

As she came lunging forward Klyde weighed his options. The fist was coming for his gut and he felt he could easily dodge, but instead....he just let the fist make contact. It didn't even seem to move him much, his demeanor nor facial expression changing outside of the fact his smile turned into a grin.

"My turn then?" He joked as he reached up to flick her in the forehead. While he held back the strength behind it was still much greater than any normal man could do. It might have even but strong enough to force her head back if it made contact.

Klyde chuckled softly as Poke went staggering back. It seemed he had only managed to throw fuel on the fire. She was rather hot headed. He couldn't help but feel she should be a red head.

As she side stepped him, the kick coming up fast, his arm moved to the side to take the blunt of the attack. Quickly he reached up to grab a hold of her ankle intending to lift her foot even higher and keep her off balance. "You know, I think you would look good as a red head." He teased, voicing his inner thoughts.

As the garlic hit him in the face, Klyde wrinkled his nose as he took a step back away from it, Poke still in tow. While it wasn't harmful it was certainly repulsive to smell. "So.....what did you expect it to do exactly?" Klyde asked curiously as he lifted her leg up a bit higher and pushed her back, trying to keep his force on the softer side for the time being.

"Maybe you should try running water next, that's always a favorite. Or the mirror trick."

Klyde grinned a bit at Poke and her friend's bit of banter. "You think a piece of wood would work? I hope it's special wood. Maybe you should try coating it in garlic." Pulling Poke suddenly forward, Klyde tried to grab hold of her arm before using that leverage to push her away from him.

Standing back up straight waiting for Poke's next move, Klyde had to suddenly squint as the sun came out from behind the clouds. Covering his face he looked up seeing there was a bit of a gap before the next clouds would roll over. "Great...I'm gonna get sun burned." He whined, keeping his arm in place to avoid burning his face.

Having not been paying attention, Poke's sudden attack took one of Klyde's feet out from under him but not the other. Staggering back a few paces he finally stumbled and landed on his rear. The fall to the ground sounded worse than what Klyde let on, his face the picture of displeasure.

Still shielding his face from the light of the sun he looked at Poke wondering what she would have up her sleeve now that she had him down. Should he sit here and find out or move and get back to his feet? He was curious...so he unwisely stayed where he was. This fight was rather interesting if anything.

Klyde smirked. So she was trying to be fair. That really wasn't in her best interest since this was a very uneven match. "I guess so," Klyde said with a shrug as he got back up slowly looking back up toward the sky. The clouds were rolling it but it would still be a couple of minutes before the sun was covered. He could already tell the arm that he was using to shield his face was red. It would do doubt start to blister soon which wasn't a huge deal, it would heal just fine, but if he was still fighting it might make the situation a little iffy. Healing required lots of burned calories and generally a meal to supplement of the damage was extensive. This would probably make him hungry.

"I guess I shouldn't draw this out any longer," Klyde smiled as he rushed forward, using the speed that was known to his race. He came to a stop beside her, hands reaching out to grab hold of her arms. It would expose his face for the moment but thankfully the sun would be covered soon. He shouldn't get damaged too badly.
