Tony nodded his head, watching as she made to look at the books. He was glad she seemed happy with the selection, at least at first glance.
"I doubt they'd be able to keep up with the pace, if you tried. Not without a few naps, at the very least." He chuckled.
Clearing his throat, he nodded his head.
"I'll leave you to it, then? I often find that by standing around I put people on edge, and I don't want to do that. So, ah, I'll let you browse, and if you have any questions, feel free to find me at the front desk? Or perhaps the documents librarian would be a bit closer, but either way." He looked surprised though, "Oh, did I show you where the romance books were? That would be a crime, if I didn't."

Alexis nodded as she looked around, "They probably wouldn't. Though sometimes I think I need a nap to catch up with them." She giggled.
Pausing she tilted her head, "Oh I don't mind. Even if you had a suggestion, it'd be welcomed."
When he asked about the Romance books, "Well, no, I don't think you have." She replied.

Tony blushed, nodding his head.
"That's poor form. We passed them on the way here, and I didn't think to point them out. Ah. Well, if you'd like to pick your music books first, I can... wait. Or help, yes. That too."
He bumbled a lot, but he meant well. He motioned to the shelf, bending carefully, mindful of his bad leg, to pick up one of the oversized books. It had brilliant images of various art types, and there were a few different ones to pick from.
"I think these are my favorite," he said, showing it to her. "Of course, I don't know what you're trying to teach them, but ah. As far as pretty pictures go..." Art wasn't exactly his forte.

She paused, "Art." She giggled, "It's art, not music."
She paused, looking at the book he picked up, flipping through a few of the pictures. She smiled, "I think it'll help." She said with a nod. "Educate them on a few famous artists and teach them some fun things about art and inspire them."
Alexis paused, "You can show me the romance books on the way back down?" She added with a smile.

Tony turned red. "Did I say music? I meant art. Ah, yes, the music section is... is a few rows over. Not that you... need it. Because I meant art." He cleared his throat and rubbed the back of his neck, shaking his head.
He nodded, though, when she suggested he show her the romance books on the way back down. He opted to stay quiet, as speaking had become a hassle, and let her browse without interrupting her.
He wasn't in a rush, so he didn't mind waiting, and offering help if she asked.
They would go back to the romance section when she had things picked out, and maybe by then he would have stopped acting like an idiot. Maybe.

Alexis almost chortled at his embarrassment, she managed to turn it into a slight cough. She often found men cute when they were embarrassed, "It's okay, I can let the music teacher of the school know you have books up here." She smiled softly as she picked up a book on Vincent Van Gogh.
Alexis was still glancing through the books looking for artists or titles she'd heard of but never got to really see. Van Gogh happened to be one of her favorites, she also grabbed a book on Jackson Pollock. With a smile she nodded, "I think these will do for now."

Tony blushed as she cough-laughed at his embarrassment. That wasn't a completely unexpected reaction. He chuckled, turning slightly red, but he was good natured about it.
"Oh, please do. The more teachers the merrier," he grinned.
Once she was done picking he nodded and moved to take her back to the romance section, or rather the section with the most romance books in it. He imagined it would be what she was looking for, newer and older novels.
"Here we are," he said, offering a bright smile, like he was proud he had at least managed to get her to this section without messing up. "And not a music book in sight."

She nodded happily, noticing the blush but not saying anything. "I'm sure most of them would be happy to utilize the library here, ours has such slim pickings. Though it is an elementary school."
She walked beside tony as he moved to the romance section glancing around the shelves before seeing one she wanted to check out the most. "Heh, music books aren't bad, I just can't carry a tune."
She nodded at Tony, "I think these will do for now."

Tony smiled, letting her pick her book before guiding her back downstairs to the front desk.
"I'll check these out to you, then," he said, though he imagined that his intention was rather obvious once he asked for her library card. It wasn't really necessary to tell her what his job essentially consisted on, but he said it anyway.
He took the books and check them out, desensitized, and stamped each one before sliding them back to her. He smiled jovially.
"They'll be due back in three weeks. You can call in to have the renewed, or just come in with your card, if you'd like. You don't need to bring them in for it, though." He had a list in his head of things to tell patrons once they were checking out books, though he tried to say only what he imagined they hadn't heard yet. So he didn't mention where the return drop offs were, as he imagined she could see them outside and here at the front desk well enough.

Alexis nodded as she followed tony to the front desk. Listening to him with a smile and nodded, "Thank you so much for your help."
Alexis had noticed the drop off points, mainly because they were often either obvious or labeled, sometimes both. She waited as he did his job, she gave a nod. "I might want to keep the art books for longer, I'll have to see how my lesson plans go."
She returned the smile before glancing at the time. "I think I should be going, I there's a movie coming on soon I'd like to watch." She smiled again, it happened to be one of those trashy romance movies but it was all in good taste to Alexis.
"Thank you again, you've been a big help." She smiled as she waited for a moment before starting to retreat to the door.
