"Something!?" She took that as 'anything' and darted into the kitchen...grabbing the milk, a glass, and a loaf of bread... some mustard for flavor. Darking back in the dumped the weird array of things before him... and then stood back, unsure of what to do.

He poured a somewhat sloppy glass of milk and chugged it as fast as he could eyes watering before adding bread to the mess.
"Dear god.. have you tasted that?" He asked pushing the mustard slightly to one side, ugh...mustard sandwich? No thank you.

"No... and judging from your reaction, im not so sure i should." It took a lot of willpower to stop herself from giggling, it was horrible and a dark sense of humor... but she found it amusing.

He booted her foot with his own... "Go on then, if I'm suffering that you should too...at least while we have the milk out." He took another deep drink of it and another bite of bread and noded.
"....taste wasn't -bad-...but you could defiantly draw back on the spicy."
That was a first for her all things considered.

"Hey!" She stuck her tongue out and booted him lightly back. "Aaah whats the term.. share the pain?" She said with a small smile, nodding at remembering to remove the spice later.
".. I guess you can say i have cold feet." beth loved spice to a degree... but not when steam was coming out of her ears. She eyed the plate warily, wondering what she did to deserve this. Oh right, she made it.
Grabbing a spoon she nudged the food on the plate a little.

Zac tapped his fingers waiting. "You made it...you eat it, I swear if I had the funds and the time I'd sign you up for cooking lessons." He scolded her.
Funny how their arguments vanished into that tortuous pot of curry... maybe he should start working up a tolerance to more spicy food, Dem and She both had a deep seated love for it after all.

"Heeeeeeyyy... is my cooking really that bad? There was a TV show the other day called Worst Cooks... and i was sitting here wondering if i was that bad." She scrunched her face together.

"I don't know I haven't seen it... and honestly I haven't ever EATEN that much spicy food, I could just be... at a low tolerance for it." He admitted.
He paused for a moment and then looked at her earnestly. "Beth...when it comes to cooking, you DO remember the carob-brownies right?... and...the Mayonnaise Meringue?"

"...I thought those tasted a little funny. But i swear the recipes called for it!" Or did she grab the wrong jars... nah she just was over eager and thought it was taste good that way.
"...Alright alirght... Ill stop cooking." She said with a huff, as she flopped down into a chair next to Zac. "It seems to make people unhappy, so maybe its for the best. I can order takeout."

He swatted her on the arm like you might a cat to get it off the sofa.
"...don't STOP just because it's gotten hard, if your not doing it right you just need to be more attentive. PRACTICE, you can't let yourself be defeated by common kitchen items." He said and straitened to fold his arms.
"If I can do more than tv dinners so can you... we can start with simple things... fruit salad, tuna salad, casseroles... canned soup."

"Hey canned soup i CAN do! I can make simple things like deli sandwiches etc, its just when the oven or stove is involved i have issues..." She stuck her tongue out in retaliation.

"Stoves aren't so bad, you just need to learn their quirks... I'll teach you how to make pork chops and sour kraut." He said and grabbed for some paper... paused.

"You mean Beep the Peep? Man he was HUGE.... but my gods that was a mess and a half." She recalled them nuking it. "I still say he made a tasty smore though!" A pause. "Ide love anything you'd teach me... i remember you saying how much of a disaster i am in the kitchen."
Another pause.

"I don't forget reminding people to taste test." He said and moved to the fridge to examine the contents. "..mm... I think if we got a few things i could show you a simple meat sauce too...you haven't gone vegetarian on me have you?"
He asked glancing back at her.
"What kind of living expenses is your dad Giving you here?"
He still refused to call the man HIS father, though it might have been habit.

"Me? vegan? heck no! i love burgers and such too much to go grass grazer on you." Beth said once again dodging the question. "I....don't really shop too often for things because half of the time i have NO idea what they go into." She followed him leaving the curry behind. "Sometimes i read recipes on the back of the containers for ideas."
"Huh?" She said half here half not, lost in trying to remember the last time she bought ground beef. "OH! He sends a decent check once a month for bills and such... leaving enough to get by for the month usually." She didn't correct him on the father.... only because she didnt want to ruin the current conversation with another fit of 'he is NOT' from Zac.
