"It's fine .. i see it, i just need to get to it." He picked himself up carefully, trying not to slip on the ice once again, and dusted his knees off before ducking away from Denebola. If she could keep the creature occupied long enough maybe he could do -something- to help take it out before it took them out and the whole building they were standing on.
He just managed to miss getting a wing to the head as he scrambled toward the pile of snow. Pulling the lantern up out of the ice he was relieved to see it hadn't gone out.
"Okay windbag ..." Digging one of the sticks out of his belt, glad the fabric kept them dry, he pulled the lantern open and waited for the stick to catch alight.
Skidding a bit on the ice he shifted to get the youma between him and Denebola, not wanting to singe her if he could help it, and blew on the flame to release the fireballs. With the youma distracted the flames struck hard against it's back and he winced as the creature let out a howl.

Denebola stopped paying attention to what Arsinoe had been saying as she grappled with the youma doing everything she could to keep it's attention on her while keeping it far enough away to not bite her face off. She'd never had a youma this close to her before, she had always avoided it like the plague. She wasn't shy, she'd get up in their face but it was usually to throw a punch or kick the sucker into a wall or whatever (being a superhero meant having a strength boost which was pretty cool in Fee's book). No, this was the first time she was hold it in place so that someone else could attack it.
It unnerved her a bit but she showed no signs of it. Fee prided herself on coming off as fearless, which really had been her downfall a couple of weeks back.
As her companion's flames scorched the monsters back she released her grip on the creature letting it fall with a heavy THUD on the rooftop. She watched as it withered in pain before her, a grim look decorating her features. She took a step back, fists raised, before she raised a leg and brought a heavy axe kick down on the creatures head as it lifted to let out another howl.
This blow, combined with the flames, was just enough to dust the youma. She let out a relieved sigh as it died in an explosion of dust and she wiped her brow with the back of her hand.
"It's about time," she said grinning at her partner.

".... it actually did something." He stared at the now dark lantern for a moment almost as if he'd never seen it before. He was used to it having no effect but it had seemed like that youma took more of a hit than usual. It must have been the combined force. Not that he could really target the damn things all that effectively but at close range that could come in handy.
Hearing his partner snapped his half out of his shock and he looked over at her and the pile of dust that had been the youma. "Someone could have warned us that they can fly."

Denebola was proud of her partner who seemed shocked that his attack had done any damage let alone enough to dust the beast. "You did good," she told him practically beaming as she strolled over to him. "Looks like you're getting the hang of things," she nodded firmly as her dual colored eyes glanced back at the pile of dust. "Doesn't look like it got any starseeds before it found us," she commented happily. It was always good to dust a youma and to know that no one had died at it's hands.
Civilians were fragile after all.
She found herself laughing at his next sentence. "There's a lot of stuff they should warn us about but most of the time we end up figuring it out for ourselves," she shook her head still smiling. "Youma's are poorly put together monsters who take bits and pieces of real life creatures, almost never in a pretty way. Though I never expected to meet a flying one," she pressed her lips together in thought. "Can't say I like them, definitely tougher than other youma's I've faced, might be the flight advantage," she shrugged.

The winged youma was something he didn't have to deal with ever again without warning. It might have just been the fact that the whole roof was covered in ice and snow but it had seemed harder to handle than the others they'd fought. "At least we have a strategy for dusting them now"
"They leave behind the starseeds after they take them?" She'd told him a bit about the stareseeds before and that youma could eat them but he figured once they were gone that was it. "How long can someone survive without one?" It would be good to know just in case he ever felt the need to return one to someone (not likely). While he waited on her answers he tied the lantern back to the rope around his waist.

"Sometimes," she answered thinking back to the time she fought with Gunn. There hadn't been any then and there hadn't been any when she had fought along side Taranis in one of his training sessions though the more experience senshi had checked for starseeds too. It had become a habit since then, not that she was sure she'd know what to do if there was a starseed lingering in the dust.
"I don't know, not long I don't think," she replied considering the question. "Starseeds are essentially your soul," she began explaining. "I can't imagine more than an hour if even that," she bit her lip shuddering at the memory of when she almost lost her starseed. Never again.
"Either way, whether we can return them in time or not I don't want the starseeds in the hands of the negaverse, I think it gives them power." The less power they had the better.

"That's good to know then." He dusted a bit of snow off himself as he thought about it. "Would be something good to find out too. If we can't return them and don't want the negaverse to get them there has to be something we can do with them." Otherwise they'd just be floating around waiting for god knows what. There was always the possibility that they vanished on their own after a time too but he'd have to ask someone about that.
"We should head off anyway." He tied his lantern off on his belt and looked out over the city. "I don't feel anything else out this way." IF there was anything else for them to do that night it would be found elsewhere.
