Heya, Ray! Kaikuth greeted with a grin when their crimson sister came to join them. She let Aerith answer first before giggling a bit. Break? You're tougher than that! But yes, we were talking about bunkmates. Any guesses on whom we'll be paired with? It's so fun to think about! Hopefully whatever roommate they got would also enjoy joking and playing around. Ooooh, perhaps they might want to join in! The more the merrier, right? The possibilities were fun to think about.

"Ah, I've shortened it to A'ran now," the black-haired teen replied with a faint smile, momentarily brushing his bangs out of the way. "Yeah, remembering names after a Hatching is always a bit interesting. Over half of them change usually." Not that he had kept much contact with the Candidates-turned-Riders before him, but still.

I am glad Yours has relaxed, then, Aerith. It is better that she be calm. I believe you are strong enough to manage having Yours touch you- but Mine frets somewhat as well. He seems to think that even walking short distances will exhaust me. Rayenth gave a quiet snort, clearly disagreeing with such an assessment. Bunkmates? Ooh, that will be interesting! It will be fun to have others close. Maybe Ours will bunk together? I would like that!

"It's good to meet you, Mercy, A'ran," Na'uel replied, giving a slightly more confident smile. After all, he belonged here now, and these people would be in lessons beside him and Rayenth for a long time to come. "I'm Na'uel. I was Nayetuel, but since most people didn't know me anyway, I don't think anyone will have trouble remembering the new name- well, except me. It'll take some getting used to, I think. I wasn't here for very long before the Hatching... I kind of didn't expect to be here at all, but I'm so glad I was."

So am I, Mine. I would have been lost without you, Rayenth commented quietly, leaning against his leg for a moment, and he wobbled just a little under the force of his emotions. He still hadn't quite gotten past the urge to whoop or laugh or cry at a moment's notice, the world still seeming shiny and new and perfect.

'That is what I keep telling her' Aerith told her siblings though her eyes whirled happily despite the complaints 'But it is good to be so cared for' She reminded her siblings, pointing out the positive, her's might be a touch over protective at the moment but Aerith knew she had the best of intentions, she was sure theirs did as well!

The excitement of her siblings was infectious and while she was still slightly hesitant about the whole thing it was hard to hold to such reservations in the face of her happy siblings 'Who shall we bunk with mine? When will we know?' She asked her's, forgetting that Mercy hadn't known anything about it earlier and likely still didn't

'I don't know Aerith, no one knows yet' Mercy told her, glancing down at the little dragon But I'm sure they will choose to pair us with someone nice' She assured her.

'Mine says they are sure to pair us all with someone nice, we will all be happy' Aerith assured her siblings.

"A'ran is good, so is Na'uel" She told the both of them with a smile "I'm pretty sure I'll just keep mine as Mercy, I mean I really can't come up with something that doesn't sound a touch silly when I tried to shorten it" She admitted to them both.

'your name could never sound silly mine' Aerith piped up, having caught the tail end of Mercy's conversation.

Someone else she knew was coming over. "Pazzult! Erm.... I mean. How did you shorten you're name? Congrats on you're green as well. It's a pleasure to meet you Nnith." She looked at the green as she caught up. "I would think so! I'm sure you could still practice here, if you wanted."When she saw him blush it caused her to giggle a little. "This is Kameth." Boreal sat on his girl's shoulder and peered around at the people and dragons. They were making His happy. His eyes whirled a green.

Ralae shrugged and waved to the new green rider. She had seen him around Tiepet and a few others but never really interacted with him herself. Taking a small glass of wine, she also waved a drudge over and held up three fingers. "Well. Your name is short like mine. Who would you be, W'kla? W'kl? I don't think those suit you so well as your name does now. After all, could you imagine me a R'lae? I don't think so!"

She wiggled her fingers at her friend and gave Kameth a smile. "I am sure he will grow just fine and you will both be strong. Shards, maybe we will even be in the same wing once I actually get assigned to one!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"It's P'zul. Nnith and I thought of it. P'zult just didn't seem right. Greeting Green rider. And hello to you, Kameth. And perhaps I will become the first... Dragonweaver? Almost like a dragonsinger? Who knows... But I can keep up with making riding gear and such." He shrugged and scratched Nnith's eye ridges so that she cooed.
"But that doesn't matter! Today we celebrate a Hatching!" He nodded approvingly as the plates came and he munched on some warm bread.
Wykla watched Ralae, slightly amused. "Didn't you hear? We're not allowed to drink alcohol now." She didn't mention that as young as she was, she hadn't drunk before. All in good time to be sure. "Yeah, I didn't like the way any of the shortened names sounded. Guess I'll be sticking with Wykla then." She grinned at the older green rider. "No, those just wouldn't work."
"Oh, isn't Zabreth full grown now? You must be getting close to getting assigned a wing. Even then, it'll take longer for us. We still have to wait for our dragons to grow up." Wykla was sure the coming year was going to be interesting.
She nodded to her fellow weyrling. "I like that choice P'zul. Nnith, you helped him pick a good name." Her eyes darted between them. Who would have thought this morning she'd be keeping company with these two. "Um, P'zul, this is Ralae. We were standing together at the previous hatching."
"Oooh a dragonweaver. Then you'd better learn to weave dragons into your designs. With such a fine model," she nodded towards his green, "I'm sure you won't have any problem selling them." Spying the food coming closer, she helped herself to some meat.
Ralae laughed. "Silly, the wine is for me! I remember the rules. But of course, you will be starving and just you wait! You thought I was going crazy with Zay, I wonder how Kameth will treat you."
Outside, Zabreth was making herself quite comfortable and chatty with any dragon around her. She had not outgrown her need to collect shiny things or the urge to make random little statues of dragons and people. She did remember, however, to give a greeting to her rider's friend's new dragon. Hello Kameth. I am Zabreth. Ralae is my rider. Your rider is a good person.
"Well met, P'zul. Congrats on the green. A lovely girl she is and if you do become a dragon weaver, let me know! I would definitely like something with Zabreth's color to wear."
~~~~~~~~~~
P'zul nodded and smiled. "I like that. A dragon weaver! And I can use all of our dragons colors' for inspiration. Maybe I will go into dyeing. Of course, you shall be at the top of the list for anything that might be needed."

Nnith scooted a little closer to Kameth and stuck her nose at him. Hello there. I'm Nnith. And how blue your hide is... I simply can not wait for the meat to get here.

Wykla laughed. "Of course, sorry. I should have guessed. No reason why you can't have some. After all, you've already had you're prohibition period and I bet you wouldn't want to do that again." She glanced at her quiet blue. "I donno. He seems pretty easy so far." The girl gave a mischievous grin. "As I recall, you had two to feed. Cheer had just hatched days before the Hatching. I've had practice with Boreal and he's full grown now."

She patted the flit on her shoulder. He'd already been a help feeding and cleaning the long winged blue. Her grin turned on P'zul. "Be careful, or you might have the whole Weyr looking for your stuff. Not that's a bad thing, you could get lots of weavers under you. Or maybe. Can weavers work under a dragonrider?" That was certainly a tough one.

Wykla patted the headband she was wearing. "I've already gotten you're first piece. I was going to ask how you knew." She smiled. Even if it hadn't matched her dragon, she would have worn it tonight.

Kameth took the sudden barrage in stride, addressing each one in turn. He looked at the woman His knew and blinked slowly at her. Wykla was His, he would treat her well. Hello Zabreth. Mine likes Yours. She is happy Yours is here.

He gave a blink as the other green, from his clutch, scooted closer. Hi Nnith. Thank you. The meat should be coming soon. I can smell it. Did Your's not feed you before you came? He lifted his head high to look for the dragon food.

I don't think we have any mean siblings within our clutch, Kaikuth replied with a bit of a giggle. Still, there are many fun times to be had. heart Have either of you had the chance to speak with the rest of our brethren yet? She definitely wanted to chat with all of the others before the night was over, but for now she was quite happy here with her sisters.

"I'll bet Rayenth is quite glad too," A'ran said with a smile to Na'uel's remark about being glad to have been here. The way she leaned against his leg seemed to indicate as much as well. "Mercy is a lovely name; I believe it is quite nice as it is." His name had fortunately been pretty easy to shorten, so he hadn't had any difficulties in the matter.

Drakell meanwhile wasn't paying much attention to what the humans were chatting about, curled up comfortably as he was against his human's neck. He couldn't help but curiously watch the three dragonets though, and looked to be considering going down to them soon.
