There was no stopping now, he could brush it off as innocent conversation but so far she was not outright repulsed by the idea. And he had an idea of what to say, going on.
"Genetics doesn't matter for family, all the cubs here called all the banu in their family mother," he pointed out carefully, pausing before getting a little bolder, "That is something you could have now that you're here, now that you have a male around. A family." He chose his words carefully, phrasing it from her perspective rather than his own.

She didn't necessarily like the idea of her hypothetical cubs calling Tabia mother, but hearing her cubs call Anju mother was something that Kikimu had dreamed of for quite sometime.
He was quite the charmer, and for a moment she sat quietly watching him. She could have a family, she could have a family. With Anju. Was it worth it? Kiki and Anju had once discussed the idea of a type of..donor to make their family complete and Anju had said they would discuss it later. Well, it was later, wasn't it?
"I can't outright say no.." she answered quietly, practically a whisper "Would they be mine, and Anjus...we raise them? Or would they be yours? Would I get to see them grow?" She was mortifying herself by considering it, but it was an option.

Ahnik's ears tilted toward Kiki as she quietly considered the idea, verbalizing some concerns she had-- though definitely not shooting the idea down. This was good, this was very good.
"They would be ours, mine and yours- and Anju's," he said, knowing better than to outright include Tabia in part of this hypothetical family just yet, "Of course you would get to see them grow, to raise them. That is another job banu have. And I would never keep cubs from their mother."
He would have liked to know his mother. And he knew how fiercely protective mothers could be, he would have trouble keeping a mother away from her babies.

Ours.
She continued to think, her thoughts tumbling one after another.
"I want to say yes, even though you stole me away from the only life I know. Even though..I don't see Anju as much as I would like..and you're keeping us both here."
Kiki wasn't exactly thinking straight, she was thinking of cubs, her weakness in the scheme of things. She wasn't thinking of their escape, or how cubs would fit into that picture.
"I'll say yes..can..can you promise me one more thing?" She didn't wait for a response, "D-don't break us apart, make us a real family. Keep us all together. You, Anju, Me." She neglected again to think of Tabia, she didn't know how that female fit into her happy bubble either.

Ahnik didn't say anything right away, letting her get out her complete thought-- and her one request. It was an easy promise to make, once Kiki was pregnant, Anju would be easy to control. No, once the cubs were born and there would be too many bodies to sneak away.. she would be easy to control. The backlash would be one thing but he would handle it and so keep this promise.
"I promise, I will keep us together," he agreed, "We will be a real family."
