Treasure hunting? He hadn't thought of it that way before. Well, first they had to cover their tracks, but it made him smile that his new beastly friend was game for more. Not many people understood the thrill of this sort of activity. He nodded enthusiastically, handing the pin over to G as his prize before pocketing the tooth and lifting his shovel to begin refilling the hole. It didn't take long, he was also practiced at this stage as well, but the earth definitely looked freshly tilled- a bad thing if you wanted to not be caught. He gave it a stamp with a foot before motioning to G's large clawed feet and motioned for him to do the same. With that much weight hammering down it would look like the grave had been filled for centuries! And none would be the wiser....
He'd even let G pick which one to try next!

G gaped a little when the pin was actually handed his way, and he stared at the thing as though he was not quite sure to do with such a special gift. G never got given things! Probably because he ate most of them without thinking, but this was different! Gingerly, he managed to clip the thing to the side of his makeshift eye-patch, a dopey little smile settled on his face once he'd done so. There! Now he was handsome!
With great enthusiasm, the beast did a makeshift stomp dance onto the freshly filled grave, excited little puffs of air slipping past his nose as he did. Fun times! Had he known that this might be enough to land them in detention again, he probably would have been mortified, but ignorance was bliss.
G, of course, would then eagerly shuffle to the gravestone that was the fanciest looking, glancing back at Patchy like a dog that had just found something fantastic, and was hoping that master would come take a look. He had a good feeling about this one!

Christof glanced around, waving his hands anxiously to try to get G to quiet down a bit as he stamped. One more couldn't hurt, though, right? And this was a particularly fancy looking one! Curiosity clawed at him and he scurried towards it to look over the headstone. Well, only one way to find out what lay inside! He dug in with his shovel, working as quickly as he could to start the hole, sure to toss any worm or maggot he found along the way in the sea monster's direction. Maybe this one would have a nice pair of in-tact boots inside! His own were starting to wear thin in the souls.

Hooray, hooray! A pin, a friend, and lots of gritty, grubby treats being tossed his way to dispose of! This was one of the best nights that Gargantuan could ever remember having in Halloween town. This was what monsters were supposed to do, right? Sulking around in graveyards, bein' scary... His broad, barrel-like chest puffed out for a moment before he was distracted by the prospect of some very buttery looking maggots. Snapping them up rather gleefully, the monster chewed contentedly before he reached out with his wide, thick hands to scoop up fistfuls of dirt and idly chuck them over his shoulders. More treasures?

Once they hit coffin, again the hunchback eagerly jumped in to carefully pry open the lid with his shovel. This one was fresher, which promised better results- He might as well stock up while he was doing so well, after all. Inside, sleeping peacefully, the corpse was... MOSTLY in tact, a bit gaunt and deteriorating, but that happened. The fresher the better, but beggars can't be choosers. He crouched down to examine, pulling a cloth tape measure from his pocket to check the feet, the hands, the arms, and then the pockets. There were no real trinkets of value, a ring and it's deteriorating clothing, possibly more fillings, but with this particular inhumed vessel was good for other things. With a strategic strike of his sharp shovel blade, the right arm came free.
Just as he stooped to pick it up, though, the left arm suddenly shot up to grab him by the scarf and he gave a strangled, muffled cry in the back of his throat, urgently trying to pull away.
"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?" The corpse demanded in a dusty, irritable voice of those just woken up from a deep sleep against their will.

It probably should not have been possible for Gargantuan to shriek.
Apparently, it was.
With a strange, grating sort of squeal when the corpse snatched Patchy by the neck (G didn't realize the scarf was not attached), the monster did the first thing that popped in his head. Snatching up the arm that Patchy had cleanly severed, he started to smack the unfortunate corpse over the head with one hand, and was hastily attempting to scoop Patchy up with the other.
"YOU NO EAT PATCHY! PATCHY G'S FRIEND!" And the rule of eating was that you did not eat people's friends!
Belatedly, it occurred to him that the corpse was talking. ...And that the corpse might have been a student. And G was starting to realize a lot of 'mights', and none of them were looking for good. With another timid tug on Patchy, the swamp monster didn't quite relinquish his hold, but at least he did stop beating the poor zombie with its own arm. Sort of.

The corpse uttered a snarled, ancient profanity, shielding itself with it's remaining arm, "Fine, FINE I'm not using it anyway just turn off that light I'm tryin' to sleep!"
Although it had settled back in to it's coffin, Christof was scrambling and squirming in G's grip, trying to grab the arm from him before he damaged it. Broken bones just made the whole endeavor pointless!
"Damn kids," The corpse grunted before falling dead once again.

G stood there for a minute, panting and staring at the lifeless body for a time before he realized that Patchy was wiggling around in his arm. Oh! He let the boy go so he could clutch at the limp arm with both hands, all of his fins flattened with dismay. That hadn't been as fun the first time... and it looked as though G's sense of adventure had been fairly stifled.
"Patchy okay?" He ventured uncertainly, and would pointedly try to steer his new friend away from the still open grave. "Was scary." He muttered, reproachfully trying to avoid looking at the corpse.
Did all dead people yell so much?

Christof gave a frustrated snort, still trying to dance around the hulking green student to nab the arm back, almost forgetting his shovel as G's massive hand tried to direct him away. Well, at least they had found A part. He'd have to try again sometime with less.... company.
Ultimately, though, he gave the monster a nod, brushing himself off pointedly to show that yes, he was intact, thank you. But he still would like that arm.

Oh, good. Relaxing a little, the swamp beast seemed perfectly content to cuddle the arm close to his chest... before realizing Patchy was staring at him. Oh. He handed the thing over with a mingled expression of relief and curiosity. Maybe Patchy needed a new arm--he knew a certain doctor that could probably sew that on him without much problem!
"G gonna go back home." He said uncertainly after a moment, ducking his head as though to hide from Patchy's potential disappointment. "Will... Will see Patchy again, yes?"
Waving awkwardly, the big beast would begin to sidle backwards, and if he didn't get a shovel smacking against the back of his head, he'd try to slink all the way back to his room. That had been enough adventure for one night!
