And, just like magic, Zinkenite had disappeared and been replaced with an exact carbon copy of Laurelite herself. There was not a single hair out of place with the transformation -- every detail was exact, from the color of her uniform to the enormous corkscrews of her hair. All that was different between the two was the facial expressions they wore, with the fake Laurelite keeping the same flat look Zinkenite normally had, while the real one appeared to be calmly, gently bemused.

"Oh my," she breathed, stepping close enough to run a hand through her copy's hair, as if to check its authenticity. "That will certainly be useful, Captain... well done. To you as well, Lieutenant," she continued, approaching Mica next, tentatively trying to press her hand flat against the shield. It passed through, but not without a definitive tingle of energy tickling up her arm.

"It seems as though physically, I can still get to you," Laurelite mused, stepping backwards a few paces to take in the full sight of the thin yellow sphere encasing the lieutenant. "Magic, however... I imagine that would be a different story. How interesting."

Her hands clasped at her front once again, and she regarded them both with a nod and a placid smile. "Your mission will now be to learn the limits of the abilities these Crystals grant you, and how to use them properly. Please also remember how it feels to tap into that energy, that is important... unless you have any further questions, you may consider yourselves dismissed."
