"hu Me? not like the water? that's- that's silly . . .I I love the water . . .whats not to love I mean its all wet and . . .wet . . ." she said her voice trailing off a tad as she tried to pull it together.
not to mention full of all kinds of various deadly creatures . . . she htought swallowing the lump in her throat. she knew better than anyone that her fear was entirely irrational to most being other than herself.
"no no if i sound concerned its just chilly is all. Just a little chi-" she felt something bump against her leg and just about jumped ten feet in the air with a chocked scream. "GAAAAAAAAAA what is is oh GODS DON'T LET IT GET ME!!!!" she exclaimed tearing for the shore. her brave front forever ruined.

Mera shrugged some giving a slight shiver to the temperature of the water. She knew the air outside of the water would feel colder though. As Blake screamed she looked around for what had 'attacked' her friend only to see a stick. Picking it up, she headed for the shore. Shaking her head, she dropped it on the ground with a chuckle. "It's a stick... You alright? I mean.. you gave a pretty big yelp out there..." She really did look concerned for her new friend.

Her heart pounding she watched as mera dropped a stick at her feet . . .her apparent attacker. Her head dropped down and she looked at the ground rather forlorn she must have looked like an idiot. water dripped of of her taking most of the mud and what not with it.
"yea I am fine its just . . .water and everything in it just freaks me out." she admitted in a rather ashamed manner.

"Ah, I see. It's nothing to be ashamed of. I've heard of some soquili who are terrified of the ocean." She gave a reassuring smile and walked closer to Blake, bumping her shoulder with hers as she got close. "Cheer up. I don't find you any less of a soquili than I had before this." She grinned wide. "Besides, to tell the truth.. I'm not keen on brooks.. I rather dislike them some." She bent her head and looked at the faint scars on her front legs. "I had a small accident when I was a foal regarding a brook" She looked up grinning. "But when I cross them now I have to remember that it's not going to jump up and bite me I just need to be careful and not horse around them."

While her head was hung low she could see the edges of scares along the young mares front legs. Blake was ussed to such things thesh-was covered on them head to toe.
She smiled lifting her head back up."im glad you undertaand ware im comeing from . . .not that you got hurt mind you but - well you know what i mean right? The thing nothing bad happened to me in the water i havent ha a bad experince or anything. Its just a inate fear ive had forever. I suppose its because i came from the deseret." she nodded her head off toward the disstant mountains. "not much water there as you can well imagine and going to get water was a mysterious and dangerous matter. The water was something so . . .forighn that just looking into it gave me the creeps and on top of that skin walkers knew we would have to come to get eater so that's wear they would wait . . ." she shivered and closed her eyes for a moment.
"it's a harsher world over those mountains part of the reson why I came here." she added looking about at the lush greenery and safety this place had.
It's was right then that all the serious supply in her chose to run out.
"but on a lighter note I think it's rather impossible for us not to horse arround." she joked then laughed

She snickered some at the joke. "Sorry.. couldn't help.. But I'm sorry to hear that you don't trust water for the reasons you do.. though I can see why.. I think I'd feel the same if I had grown up in the situations you did..." Shrugging some, she looked around at a lost now for what to do. "What were we going to do again after we got all clean?" She glanced back at Blake, her ears perked.

Blake jumped into the air a little and she got a wild happy look in her eye.
"I almost forgot about that!" she exclaimed then wipped about.
"you clean? I'm clean!" she added excitedly steeping away a few feet then shakeing sending water droplets everyware. By the time she was finished she was mostly dry. She trotted over to the tree and in a flourish of movement whipped her blanket back on. Amazeingly it landed just right across her back to ware she didn't need to adjust it. She had had alot of practice doing so.

She looked a herself before nodding finally. "Yeah, I'm clean.. well about as clean as I'll be getting right now." She laughed some before shaking the water off her fur. Her fur looked ruffled and dis shelved but she knew it's soon pass and look better when it dried. "She.. Where too then? You're leading the way since I haven't the foggiest clue as to where we're going or what we're doing.."

"all right this way fallow me" she directed trotting along weaving arround trees and jumping over varrious little obsitcals. It wasent long before they reached a large bush at the edge of a clearing. It was her there merry little jaunt came to a hault. The ground looked to be nothing but normal ground covers in leaves and sticks but blake smiled she knew better.
"step exactly ware i step." she directed "or the whole thing won't work." she added "see this whole clearing is covered in disguised mud puddles!" she giggled.
Before stepping out of the bush she noticed a few large. . .pure skinwalker tracks but they looked old so she shrugged it off and kept walking choosing each step carefully.

Here her ears quirked in slight displeasure. "The really isn't right you know. I'm all for games and fun.. but how would you like it if a skin walker covered a body of water up so you'd fall into it when you stepped on it?" She snorted some. Sure games and fun was ok so long as both parties were willing. but to go out of one's way to set traps.. that was a bit much. "I'm sorry Blake, but I cannot be apart of this..... trap set up."

Blake looked about she could see absolutely no reason why there was anything wrong with what they were doing.
Maybe she thought they were dangerous or something she figured. So to show here there was nothing sinister about her little game She stuck her foot right in one revealing it was just a mud puddle a kinda deep puddle but nothing dangerous.
" the two situations are entirely different. Besides these aren't traps. traps is word you would use if they were all filled with spikes or even dangerus at all or something not mud. what's a little mud going to hurt?" she asked cocking her head to one side.

They didn't look to be very deep. But still it didn't seem to set right with her, tricking others into getting dirty..Shrugging, she shook her head some. "I guess... but only if no one's really getting hurt in the end..." She didn't see exactly how mud could hurt some one.. not like this any how.. maybe make some one annoyed... but beyond that.. She couldn't come up with a reason for not helping to cover up the shallow puddles now.

Blake smiled happily glad the situation was resolved an she would still get to play her little prank.
"I swear by my by my tail and ears nothing bad will happen to anyone save a being a little dirty." she added kicking a little dirt and grass back over the place she has disturbed.
"we can cover the rest of them up then go hide back in those bushes and watch." he paused "then after they get all good and dirty we can direct them in the direction of the river if you want." she offered.
Playing pranks was definatly harder with a partner. Then everything was harder with a partner she figured. Because you had to worry about someone other than yourself.

She eyed these so called traps more carefully. "So long as no one's getting hurt.. I shall help.. But by all that is decent if I see something that could hurt another I'm calling a stop." She was giving her a friendly warning. Letting the other mare know just where she stood. Turning, she picked up a bit of leaves and grass in her mouth and dropped it onto a puddle. "There..."

"and i swear i wont argue." Blake replied kicking more dirt and leaves over some other spots in a fashion that she considered quite . . .artful in its own way. In its own tricky little way.
She looked over at her new companion who seemed quite conflicted . . .which actually made Blake feel rather bad . . . but not bad enough to stop by any means.
In no time working together they were finished and just in time to hear there first victim plodding right toward them.
"Oh Oh hurry here comes our first one." Blake said ad lept into some near by bushes.
"this is gonna be good."
