Taking the mention of school as a polite way to excuse herself, the cat stood herself up to her paws and hopped back onto the bench. That poor spot where ********* had been sitting would probably get cold so suddenly.
"...I take it you speak of Chibi Hugbell, yes?" There was a thoughtful pause before she asked something else in response.
"How many children do you think the Negaverse has already killed? Children are defenseless, perfect targets in all honesty." Green eyes fell upon the girl's strangely colored ones, almost seeming to turn a bit more serious than most were accustomed to with this cat. "Destiny is not biased against age, Maia. Perhaps most think of it as throwing a child into a fight, I think of it as supplying the child a way of defending herself. It might take a bit of work, yes, but if she has good mentors, she will be able to protect herself."
If she was more in the mood to explain how things went down, the manx might have mentioned the fact that it was either turning the child into a senshi or let her get her starseed stolen by the youma on the bus. There really weren't many options.
The cat nodded her head, and with that simple motion, the seriousness of her expression softened back to her usual cheery demeanor. "Well, I would not want to be the reason you are late to your classes, so I will take my leave!" Before Sailor Maia could really argue, the feline almost seemed to bounce off the bench and soon enough was bouncing off in some other direction.
It was almost like watching a ball, except this one was made of fur.

Maia nodded when ********* mentioned Hugbell. Yes that was exactly who she meant. She sat waiting quietly while ********* explained her face pulling a frown at the thought of children being killed. ********* thought on the matter made perfect sense. Hugbell had dutifully joined the fight and she had many senshi looking out for her. Maia smiled at the thought despite the chill that rolled through her.
"You are right of course, sometimes one just needs someone else to put it in prospective for them. She has great mentors and I know for a fact they will continue to look out for her."
Maia nodded as ********* spoke and ran off. It wax true the sun was up now and she needed to get to school. "Goodbye *********, see you around," she called as she headed of to find a good spot to dehenshin.
