Chivosi had of course heard part of this story - from Aleu whom she assumed had gotten it from Derecho during one of his soul bearing discussions with her. She was glad the two siblings were close and had such a relationship with one another - but she didn't think it wise to reveal that she'd already known parts of this story. Terreis didn't seem like the sort to appreciate such things being shared - even if it had only been amidst family and she didn't want to cause any further problems between the two augmentative wolves.
"A sad tale to be true, we have many such heart wrenching stories in the pack - she will heal in time and despite their arguments I think Derecho shall help her do so. He's thick headed, strong and stubborn my son..but loyal and soft underneath when it counts" No Terreis was still struggling - and it was a shame that her first born pups were suffering for it but hopefully they would grow to understand as they got older. They were not without love that was for sure, they got an abundance of that from the rest of the family.
"Small bodies do not always house small minds" Chivosi stated with a smile "If anything it sometimes makes them wiser and stronger - as they must learn to use methods other then pure brute strength to get things done"
"Well you'd have to get wet to catch a fish" Apollo told her truthfully as he eyed her lapping up the water "Quite wet" He continued "Probably soaked through and you have to dunk your head under...you probably wouldn't be interested" He attempted to goad her into agreeing to try it.
Shrugging slightly he took a small drink himself before turning his attention back towards her "I just thought you might want to do something other then go right back to your mother and their dull conversation"

A smile dances across the Queens maw. "Derecho is much like Terreis in that sense. It is no wonder they fight as often as they do, even though it is clear they love each other." Shoving two near identical wolves into the same place there was bound to be both bonding and scuffles even if they tried hard not to.
"That is so true." She agreed with a nod. "Orithia is by far the most diplomatic of the pups. She knows that in situations where her size is her disadvantage that words can often help more than actions. She even has a bear at her command." To see Orithia and Alcinoe together was quite a sight, as the pup was not much bigger than the bears lower part of her leg. Eyes looked upon her daughter and escort for the moment. "I wouldn't be surprised if she was using her diplomatic powers on Apollo right now."
Getting her fill of water Orithia raised herself back up and took a few steps away from the rivers edge. She wasn't often one to shrink away from a challenge however the idea of getting completely wet and sticking her head under water in an attempt to catch a fish was something she was willing to pass up. Especially since here she did not have to worry about Enyo bugging her about it, back in her own pack she would have tried it without hesitation just to try to one up her sister.
"It is not proper for a princess to be seen in the water like that." She stated in a neutral tone while lowering herself onto her haunches. Her eyes watched the river for a moment, the water wasn't moving too quickly, but knowing her luck it would be enough to wash her away. "Besides the current is too strong." She might not like admitting this but she was not stupid either, walking into a river was dangerous at her size. Turning her gaze back to Apollo she looked at him a bit sternly, though it was more in a thoughtful manner than anything else. "Perhaps you can show me. Learning through observation works just as well as through experience in certain situations. And surely you are an expert in fishing." She chose to ignore the comment about the dull conversation between the adults, that had been the reason for her accompanying her mother as one day those dull conversations would be her responsibility...plus she didn't find that type of stuff boring at all.

Chivosi's eyes followed Pen's gaze towards the river where it was clear even from this distance that a stand off of sorts had developed between the two young wolves, though it seemed to be a good natured one so she didn't call out or interfere "He is not used to being bossed about by little girls" She told Pen with a chuckle "It could be amusing to watch"
"Well that's just silly" Apollo proclaimed "What if you wound up trying to speak with a river pack someday - to work out an agreement like our two pack have? And they invited you fishing...it would be rude not to do so" He countered though he was pretty sure this was a loosing argument..and when she pointed out that he should just show her well he couldn't say no now could he? Otherwise everything he'd just said would be made pointless.
"Well I guess you have to learn somehow" He told her with a sigh though he really didn't think the current was too strong for her at all and that she was just being difficult but she'd gone and complimented him so now he had to prove her right.
of course that didn't mean he had to completely let her win and when he went into the water he did so in a highly exuberant manner, splashing water in all directions - including towards the young pup. He gave her a big grin before settling down and looking for a fish.

Watching in silence for a few moments she could see the two young wolves talking, likely Orithia trying to talk him into something and perhaps Apollo would do her bidding. Chivosi's comment made her brow raise slightly, she doubted Orithia was bossing the teen around, more using the right words to politely convince him to do so. "Yes, it should be interesting to watch." For now she was willing to just sit backa nd watch, but with hawk like eyes of course, even the smallest sign of danger and she would spring into action.
"If that happened I would be much older, now wouldn't I?" She pointed out to the teen. Sure mother had taken her along on this meeting but she would not be given this opportunity each time. Her eyes watched him move towards the river and then he jumped in, sending a splash her way. Orithia's eyes grew wide and she hurried to get out of the way. The escape was almost a complete success, while she did get a bit wet her small size and light body had made it possible for her to move out of the majority of the water.
"You could have just walked in." She said somewhat coldly to Apollo before licking some of the water from her fur, though her eyes remained on him, watching to see if he could indeed catch a fish. Of course given that he had just jumped in the water he likely scared them all off.

Chivosi did not miss the others slightly raised brow and chuckled slightly "All little girls boss, they manipulate and string others along to do as they want them too - even if they do so with kind words and good arguments" She commented though her attention remained on the two younger wolves
"I could have" Apollo agreed truthfully with a glance in her direction "But that would have been boring, besides" He told her with a smug look "I wanted to scare all the fish towards that spot there" He told her, motioning with his muzzle to a place on the opposite side of the area he'd jumped into where a maze of tree roots fenced off a bit of the river, almost like a natural net. Padding towards the area Apollo could see the darting silvery shapes of the panicked fish and stilled himself, tense and waiting...a few moments later one of the fish decided it was safe to return to the spot it had run off from and headed back towards them. Apollo stood stock still and quiet until the fish was almost right between his legs and then exploded into action, ducking his head into the water and snapping at the fish. His first trike missed and he had to twist and turn a few times before he managed to get a hold of the prize.
Lifting his head and the fish above the water Apollo made his way back to shore, shaking the water from his pelt upon reaching land before prancing over to Orithia and dropping the fish on the ground in front of her.

Hearing Chiv chuckle slightly Pen smirked. "Yes and all boys love to torment girls with splashing water and mud at them." Her face was serious, but her tone was certainly light and joking.
Finishing getting the water from her fur Orithia turned to look at where Apollo had indicated. She rolled her eyes slightly, oh sure he wanted to scare the fish there. Did he honestly think she would believe that? The very idea was quite ridiculous. Of course from her spot on the shore she could not see the mass of roots under the water that created a natural net to contain the fish while he waited.
When he plunged his head under the water it made her sit up a bit straighter to get a better look. He seemed to be trashing around quite a bit and she wouldn't be at all surprised if he came up empty handed. Of course when his head popped out of the water with a fish in his jaws Orithia was a bit miffed. She had hoped he would fail, though she certainly kept her facial expression neutral, in fact looked quite unimpressed when he dropped the fish near her. "See, you are an expert at fishing." Her look may have been unimpressed but she knew that commenting on his skills again would get him happy. "I learned much from watching you. Though you're technique could use some work." She commented offhandedly, but did not expand on what those improvements were.

"How very typical isn't it" Chivosi responded as she watch Apollo thrashing about in the water, and proudly prance back with his fish. If she didn't know any better she would think he was trying to how off just a touch to Orithia, and maybe perhaps he was, she was from another pack after all and like his father was quite proud of his home
Apollo had been looking for a bit more of a reaction then her impassive look and huffed slightly at her comment "Hunting isn't about technique, it's about results" He told her pointedly "I got the fish" He pointed out slapping his paw out to mack it in emphasis and causing it to make a horrible squelching sound that had him pulling his paw back with a grossed out look on his face

"Indeed." The Queen agreed. Why even in her own pack she had seen on a few occasions Patroclus and even Glacier tormenting their sisters with such things. And while the pups might think they were well behaved she noticed even Seraphin's brood was prone to such typical antics that it would seem it was ingrained into their gender and no matter what pack you were from you could not avoid that fate.
"And how can you expect results when you do not know the proper way to hunt? Do you think that luck will be on your side each and every time? Everything has a technique to it whether you realize it or not." When he slapped the fish and then pulled back at it's sound she shook her head slightly. "You caught it yes, but you failed to kill it. You shouldn't let your prey suffer." Bending down she took the fish in her tiny jaws, which was a bit of a challenge and with a hard bite and a crunch broke it's neck before dropping it back on the ground.
Her eyes turn to where her mother and Chivosi were, though it would appear the adults were busy with watching to two younger wolves than talking now. "Looks like their 'dull conversation' is over with. We should probably head back." A smile danced across her maw for just a second before disappearing. "Unless you think that you are worthy to teach me something else first."

Apollo blinked at the pup for a few moments "What?!? You didn't even..I don't..." Ugh! girls!...they were just infuriating really, I mean she didn't even know how to fish and she hadn't gotten into the water and here she was giving him advice? What. The. Hell. He huffed sightly while she looked back towards the adults "I could teach you lots, but your a princess and princess' can't get dirty enough to learn some things" He told her 'Your mother probably wouldn't even let you try swinging on the vine me and my brothers play on" He quipped as they started back though he also had a smile on his maw, clearly whatever hard feelings he harbored over her lack of appreciation for his hunting skills had passed almost as quickly as they'd come on.
"It seems they have caught us watching them" Chiv remarked when the two started back "Would you like to stay and visit with Lichen and Bracken? I know Terreis would be pleased to see you as well" She offered

It took every ounce of her being not to laugh as he stumbled over his words utterly shocked at what she had said to him. It was a good thing the adults were too far away to had heard any of that. "You think you know everything about princesses don't you? But you don't." She had no qualms about getting dirty to learn things, that happened all the time in her own pack, but here the rules were different, plus she did take a small amount of joy in tormenting the older male.
As he began to walk towards the adults she threw in one final comment. "I didn't think wolves your age still played." It was a small job but hey she couldn't pass it up. Then putting a smile on her maw Orithia trotted behind him towards their mothers.
Yes, they had certainly been caught watching the two, but that was fine. She gave her head a small nod. "Yes I would like to see them, it had been a while since I visited last and I am sure they have growth quite a bit." Visiting with Terreis would be good as well, there were some final details to discuss about Guinevere's move up north as well as perhaps taking the opportunity to speak about things that the patchy wolf would otherwise hold back from those within the pack. Best to do as much damage control as possible during her visit.
