He was poking fun at himself?
Blinking, she stopped walking to look up at him, staring for the longest she had ever done with him to date, so to speak. Green was an inside joke...poking at himself...Hrm. She thought long and hard (okay, maybe not long, a couple second tops, but hard? Definitely), and eventually gave up, rubbing the fleshy side of her head. "I don't get it." She admitted sheepishly, before turning and walking again, still heading to the Cafeteria.
"Hmm..." A good question! Did she like yellow? With a hum she pinched at the fabric draped over her arm like a sleeve, though in reality it was only one piece. "I guess...? I dunno." She never did put much thought into what she wore; mostly because she wasn't wearing the sari. No, she was wearing the meat suit it covered.

With a softly amused chuckle, he rubbed her head again when she didn't get what he meant. Since she was putting him in such a good mood, he decided to let her in on it. Couldn't hurt right? "I'm an Envy demon. So you know what people tend to say about Envy, right?" It amused him that she was trying to figure it out, which showed she wasn't the typical kind of simpering soul he was used to being around. But she was a kid so maybe he had gone over her head a bit? It was hard to say for sure.
As they continued walking towards the cafeteria, he looked around curiously, just to see what there was to see. The place was certainly large, wasn't it. It made him truly wonder what roamed these hallways. But he'd most likely get to see for himself sooner or later, right? "Heh well if you're not sure about the yellow, what kind of colors do you like? And.. do you like dresses?" Start off slow.. don't hogtie the girl and drag her back to his room for some changing... last time hadn't ended that well.... Learn from past mistakes, or some such rubbish.

Heeee, Head pets.
If it were possible to heartbubble, she would be.
Ooooh! He was letting her in on the joke! She should be HONOURED! If she could understand what he was getting at, she would be! Like before she thought long and hard about it. Envy...Envy...Envy...what did people say about Envy?! A bruised finger lifted to trap between the teeth on the skeletal side of her face, trying to draw a conclusion. Eventually she sighed, shaking her head. "No, I don't..." She was pouting, that much was certain. This was something she should knooow...! Maybe.
"I like dresses!" Amrita nodded, THAT question she could answer! Dresses were easier for her, they didn't really pull on what was left of her skin and muscle. If there was one thing she tried to do, it would be to keep her body together. "Colours..." She had to think about this one, and when she did, she thought about her friends. "White...and blue! Light blue. Purple-Blue. And Deep blue. Brown, too? Uhh...pink...purple...red...black...and gold!" She was prattling on about the colours of her friends and acquaintences; White, Light Blue and Gold was Tahki, Deep blue and Brown; Lucien. Israfel made up the purple-blue. Lizzy's hair for pink while Mei-Xiu's hair and eyes rounded up the red. Part of the pink and the purple came from the flowers in her hair. Black came from a number of people, herself included. They were pretty colours, indeed!

She didn't know about the phrase of the Envy demon? The bane of his existence? Ah, such innocence! How sweet, to finally find someone who didn't know it! But if he mentioned that much, might as well tell her the whole thing. "Well, everyone says we make people green with Envy. Green's always been associated with us, though I'm not completely sure as to why." He had wondered what other color would work with the phrase and all other colors sounded quite remiss in it. So green it'd have to be... until he found a color combination that would work!
Poor thing didn't know a lot yet, did she... meant he'd hafta teach all the proper things she should know! Well, all the things demons should know. The fact she wasn't one didn't seem to bother him much. "Dresses are nice, aren't they... ever think about wearing a dress other than that one? There are tons of different styles out there. Have you ever wondered if they'd suit you?" He liked her well rounded choice of colors and he nodded in agreement. Some of those would look a lot better than that yellow concoction of eye burn! Somehow, he had to get rid of it. Right then, it was a life mission!
"Those are some excellent colors, I say. We'll have to try them out sometime..." He was softly humming as he plotted. He had heard there was a maul around here somewhere. It shouldn't be difficult to find it and then start on some shopping. With his new little Project in tow. had to find out what would be good for her with her there, right? Every now and then, he peered at the map, wondering if they were getting closer. This new hallway they were in looked more like classrooms than the cafeteria... but he wouldn't say anything. Mental note, next time bring markers to trace the trodden paths.

Make someone green with Envy...he was an Envy Demon...and he was wearing green...
...ooooh!
It clicked, and she giggled. "I get it!" She informed him, pressing a hand to her mouth to quiet herself. Being nosy always drew attention to herself, and she was usually pretty comfortable with going about her own business!
"Umm...Not really, no." Amrita said honestly; she slept in this, she wore it during the day. To be honest she never really noticed it was there. The concept of changing clothes...actually kind of hurt her brain! She never did enough physical activity to warrant changing, and if this thing got dirty...come to think of it, she never really took it off, did she? Huh. "I can't wear pretty clothes." She informed Livi, playing with her hair again, twisting and toying with it.
A corner was turned, and the smell from the cafeteria seeped into the hallway, enough to make Amrita point to one of the big double doors. "There." She informed him, though she herself wasn't very hungry at all.

It seemed to take her a bit but he smirked when she got it and giggled. "See? Good way to poke fun at myself, hmm?" Besides, if he made fun of himself, no one else could attempt. So it worked out just peachy for him! Almost tempted to say good girl, he rubbed her head again. This was really sorta fun, but he didn't over-do it. In case he caused.. mental trauma or something >>.
Her claim to not being able to wear pretty clothing made him scoff and he waved a hand gently. "Of course you can! Anyone can, if they want to. It's all about the desire to do it, regardless of misgivings. I think you'd looked good in some other kinds of dresses." Amrita seemed the type to get easily nervous and though he felt for her in a way, it was something he didn't see stopping him. She'd cave.. in a way... sooner or later. At least enough to want to try it.
The smells of food reached his nose and he took in a slow, deep breath to take it all in. Hmm not bad, not bad. Smells like the person making it has some talent in the kitchen. Always a good thing, yes indeed. "One major place found! Now, after a bit of a snack, we can continue. What do you say?" If she tried to run off, he'd just get her back anyway. She didn't know it but until he was appeased, she wasn't about to be rid of him.

Livi was getting the mental praise he probably thought he deserved. His willingness to poke fun at himself probably meant he was so self assured that he could afford to! That sort of self esteem made Amrita jealous - green with envy, if you count some of the bruised and rotting spots on her.
"No I can't." She repeated, pretty sure of it herself. It was almost a guarantee that this body would fail, and get the clothes dirty somehow. "But thank you for thinking so." Despite her assured failure, it was thoughtful of him to believe in her; that made her smile happily. Yes, she was definitely like the puppy he was imagining her to be.
"Snack?" Amrita repeated with a slight hum. "I'm...I'm not hungry but, uhm, take your time. I can wait." The little girl assured him with a nod. "Are you sure you still want me around...?

He was a confidant soul. Besides, why should he feel any other way? He did realize that there were (*scoffs*) others out there who looked better than him, but why should that make him long to hide in some dark hole and lament his life? Let them think they're superior, says he. He'll just go about his way and be awesome. It was just that simple, really. But a soft tingle made him look down and he blinked. Ah... she shouldn't be envious! She could awesome too!
"Yes, you can." He wasn't about to let her pessimism get to him. He was beyond used to hearing people automatically saying that they couldn't look good in things because of one reason or another. Though, it was true that he wasn't used to an undead Project, but... there was a first for everything! And he refused to accept defeat at the first hurdle! "You don't need to thank me." If he knew her reasoning, he would have scoffed and said that that's what cleaning is for! Minor detail! "You really can be anything you want to be. Isn't that why we're here at school? To become what we see ourselves as becoming? Why not in fashion too?"
Standing in the entry way to the cafeteria, he looked down at her and studied her a bit. "Yeah, a snack. I'm not about to eat a full meal while there's exploring to do. And you could at least sit with me, have something to drink?" A soft laugh left him as he wrapped an arm about her shoulders and brought her into the space with him, rubbing her head with a free hand. "Of course I do! Why wouldn't I?"

Amrita went quiet. She didn't have it in her to refute his claims for a third time. It was still something she very much disagreed with...it was just useless to fight with a Demon. Especially a Demon that had taken the time out of his day to hang around with her.
He did have a good point though, and she stopped for a moment to think about it. Yes, she did go to school to become what she wanted to be...though first thing was first she needed to get out of this body. There was no way she was going to tell him that though, but she did nod a little bit. Yeah, she could mildly submit to that train of thought. It made sense, really. Still, the fashion bit she was a little iffy on. She would be happy staying in the outfit that the body was buried in.
The small girl startled when his arm wrapped around her, torn between absolute joy at the invitation; the discomfort of being touched, and the relief of the headpat. It was an awkward place to be, and she helped herself cope by poiting her index fingers together. "Umm, Okay..." She murmured; yes she could sit there with him! "I...don't know?" She said even quieter, taking a seat whereever he guided her to.

When she didn't argue the point with him more, his small smirk shifted a bit wider in pleasure. He didn't take it as a victory, since she didn't give a verbal sound of defeat, but he figured that it was best to let it be. Baby steps were always needed in the beginning and the last thing he wanted was to make her wanna run from the sight of him. That simply wouldn't do at all.
His head tilted back when he noticed that she had stopped moving, pausing himself to wait for her. Was everything okay? It seemed odd she had just stopped like that but she also seemed... in deep thought? Oh. Was she thinking about what he had said? Was he planting seeds of thought already? Awesome! To him, it made the most sense. Deep down, everyone wants to change something about them. Be it mental, psychical or otherwise. It was all about finding the inspiration for it or having the right kind of support. Now, this hobby of his made him 'nice', which pissed his parents off. It wasn't that he was a weak minded Envy demon; he just went about doing things differently. In the end, it worked out the way it should, right?
Who needs to be mean all the time? Chuckling as she poited her fingers together, he shrugged lightly as he found out where to get said drinks and snackage, his arm leaving her shoulders to ponder his choices a bit. "If I didn't want to be around you, I wouldn't have come over to speak with you, Amrita." He looked down at her and smiled softly. "Dunno why yet, but you seem more fun to be around than others..." And the fact she had potential was a factor too.

Apparently sitting was out - she wanted to, even for a moment, but Livi had other plans. The little undead girl stayed near the Demon until he released her shoulders; how could she leave? He was practically keeping her there by force! Not that she minded entirely, it was just weird to her. A lot of things were weird to her, but that happened naturally when you went from little to no contact to meeting very touchy people. Touchy in a physical sense, of course.
"Ah...That's true!" Amrita murmured thoughtfully, looking a lot happier all of a sudden. He was a Demon! If he didn't want to be around her he wouldn't, so yay that meant he wanted to be around her! A Demon! Her toes wiggled in minute excitement and she found herself staring up at the menu; not that she was hungry, but for no real reason whatsoever. She gaped at his next words, twisting her reversed hands together.
"Really?" Amrita said, mixed between pure joy and unending shyness. "Really?" She repeated, quite unaware that she had already said it, in the same tone of voice. Apparently surprise short circuited her brain! "I...I won't let you down!" She told him seriously, looking all around determined. A Demon was going out of his way to hang around her AND compliment her...she was going to do her best to not betray his attention!

He hadn't exactly meant to be forcing the ghoul to go anywhere she didn't want to. Well... not yet anyway. But since she seemed to get nervous around him, he figured that it was best to keep her close, lest she attempt to bolt or something. That would have been unpleasant, indeed. It did amuse him that she was so easy to please. Made being around her a lot easier... and pretty painless at that.
Glancing at the menu a bit himself, he rubbed his chin before he figured what he wanted and ordered. Something light and filling was good enough for now. A drink was also ordered before he added that whatever Amrita ordered he was paying for. It was funny how so many of his kind were such cheapskates. Money was just paper... use it, for Hecate's damnation. What harm could it do, right?
"Let me down?" That phrase caught his attention and his head tilted a bit. She was worried about something? Hmm he wondered how she'd feel about that statement when she learned that getting rid of him wasn't quite so easily done. Hopefully, she wouldn't grow displeased with him. "I'm sure you'll do just fine. Just be yourself and there's nothing to worry about, hmm?" But he liked her determination.

Luckily for Livi, Amrita didn't order anything. She wasn't hungry or thirsty; in fact she didn't really feel like anything! All she did make herself comfortable in her seat, and listen to him lay down something that should probably become a personal rule or something.
"I...guess." Amrita hummed, drumming her fingers on the table before resting her chin on her folded up arms, leaning onto the table's cold surface. There wasn't much harm in being herself she supposed...but then again, she couldn't recall ever not being herself! Well, except for the memory wipes, and the general dull feeling she had. That was something that only started happening after getting stuck in this body. She was pretty sure she was quicker before.
She didn't know what else to do or say, and so she opted to stay quiet until he felt like talking or leaving the cafeteria. Whichever happened first.

He wouldn't have minded if she had ordered something. A brow jacked up when she didn't order anything but he didn't comment. Maybe it was a bit too soon to be acting familiar with her. It should be likely that she wasn't comfy with him yet or something. He should have thought of that, in all honesty, but the thought just never came to mind. After he had paid, he waited for a bit for her items and once he had them, settled down at the table across from Amrita and watched her a bit before he tucked into his meal.
Being oneself was something he lived by. Especially since his way of acting... hell, even the way he thought was unlike the others in his clan; earning him a lot of dislike from not only the avarice demons like him but other demons in general. He couldn't help the way he was, nor would he ever make excuses for it. Why should he? It was his unlife to do with as he pleased. And no one could get him to be otherwise. So it was hard for him to completely grasp those who just mindlessly followed orders from their parents and didn't live their own lives. He wondered what spurred this girl before him to do things. Maybe the longer he hung around her, he'd learn or something. "Heh, it's not hard to do. I mean, how you are right now is fine."
Polishing off the rest of his meal within twenty minutes, he finished his drink and then wiped his mouth with his napkin before leaning back a bit, patting his flat stomach. "That was rather good! It's good to know that the food here is good, yeah?" His lips shifted in a small smile as he pressed his fingers together before he leaned his chin against them. "So, ready to wander about some more? I wonder if there's any place to see that we're technically not supposed to be at... those kind of places are fun."

Amrita waited patiently for him to finish eating. She had nothing much else to do, and so she spent her time looking down at her hands and lap, picking at a fold on her sari or tracing some of the faded swirls of the pattern. Silence was something that never bothered her often; as always it sometimes did, but today it didn't. He was eating, and it was rude to talk while eating...or something.
"Hmm? Oh! Yes!" A little slow to the punch, she was about to ask 'wander where?'; luckily she didn't. That would be embarrassing! Technically not supposed to go? Hmm... Amrita's expression shifted, one that suggested he knew exactly what to suggest, but wasn't sure if she should because...well...they weren't supposed to be there!
"There's this shed on the grounds..." She whispered to him in a super serious voice, a hand lifted to cup the side of her mouth for the long distance whisper. "There's supposed to be something inside, but the Groundskeeper is way scary..."
