Tony draped an arm over James' shoulders and led the poor man to his house. The inside was spotless, not a thing out of place. Things were arranged to be divided by three if they could be, and the furniture arranged just so. He instructed James to leave his shoes outside and put his coat on the back of a chair.
Now dressed in a thin, form fitting sweater and pants and socks, the long haired man moved about his kitchen with ease, making a pot of coffee. "So.. Are you gay?"
Theis all but screamed when the other took his hand. He quickly yanked it out and disinfected it with a bottle of hand sanitizer he had handy. Taking a deep breath, he tried to explain to Corwin what was wrong with him.
"Everything has to be clean. I can get sick through contact with not clean things.. daddy lets me clean everything. ...Can I clean your hands?" He held up the bottle to Corwin so could inspect it. It was just clear liquid sanitizer.

Caught off-guard by the question, he swallowed an instant retort. After all, the man was being so nice, so it would be rude to.. well... be rude.
"I... prefer not to say." he said quietly. "I apologize if that offends you."
His demeanor... and the way he blushed after being asked that question - probably told the other man all that he needed to know, if he was paying attention to the reactions.
"I could help with that if you like. I feel sort of silly standing here and doing nothing..."
------------------------- Corwin nodded, and held out his hands to be sanitized. He also put the stuff on his arms and face and neck, and anywhere else. Even down his shirt onto his chest, and some on his belly. After all - he wanted to be CLEAN for his new friend, and didn't want him to be sick. That would be a bad thing.

Tony shrugged a bit and chuckled. Yep, it told him everything he needed to know. James was gay but wasn't completely comfortable with it for some unknown reason.
He turned around and leaned against the bar that separated the kitchen from the living room and shrugged. "It's kind of a one person job, James. How'd you take your coffee? Creme? Sugar? Black?" The coffee wouldn't be done for some time, as it was a full cup.
----------
Theis watched as the other got himself clean and then giggled. Once he was sure Corwin was done, he put the bottle back into his coat pocket and moved toward the castle again, climbing on it.
"You look like me, kind of."

"Take your... RIGHT. Coffee... Cream and sugar please." he said, sitting down on the nearest hard surface. He looked a little flushed from something other than embarrassment. "I'm sorry - I seem to have lost my focus for a moment there... Please forgive me, I didn't mean to be rude."
------------------------- Corwin blinked, and canted his head to one side... before deciding that Theis was right, and they DID sort of look similar. Minus the whole four legs bit. Now that he was clean, he didn't think the boy would mind being dragged over to the other play equipment... which the dragonboy used his tail to dust off before he invited Theis up.
"Let's play something! What do you want to play?"

The blond shook his head, wondering why he'd lost his train of thought. He tilted his head at that, but didn't really voice his opinion. Either way, he eventually gave James a cup of coffee and sat down at the bar, pushing his hair off his shoulders.
"So... Talk to me about anything."
---------
"I don't know what to play." He used Corwin's help to get himself up on the castle and tilted his head to the side, tail flicking happily. He looked around quickly and then saw some monkey bars. They were probably rusty but rust could be washed off, right? Right.
"Maybe we can play... ..Tag."

The man wrapped his hands around the warm mug of coffee, sighing. He really DID look flushed.
"Anything at all? ... I have a lot I need to get off my chest, and no one to talk to about it. My sister... well... She's too intelligent to want to hang around the likes of me for anything other than familial obligation."
Another soft sigh, as he lifted the coffee to his lips to have a drink of it. "I suppose if you want to know what I've got on my mind the most right now... it would be the holidays. There are some family traditions that I really... don't appreciate participating in, but I have no choice. Not to mention that I don't want Corwin seeing what goes on in those things."
---------------------------- Corwin grinned, and reached forward to tap Theis' arm. "Tag! You're it!" He then took off running across the playground, waddling as he went. His legs were seriously not a big advantage on gravel.

"Anything..." He saw the other man had a lot on his plate, he felt that since glancing at him in the park. But now here he was, talking to James and letting him spill his guts out.
"I know we just met and all, James, but.. Corwin can stay here for the holidays while you're gone. It'll be good for the boys, I think." That, an it was the only option he could think of. It was odd, James actually talking about all this. He thought the other man would just clam up and brood in silence, but nope.
-----
Theis squealed in joy as he was tagged and moved to chase after the other. He had an advantage, he was built for running! And he could hover. Kind of. OK, so he hurt himself on more than one occasion doing that, but still!
"I'm going to get you!"

"That'd be great." he said, giving a tired smile. "It wouldn't be good to expose him to any of that just yet... Or at all. But since one of the aforementioned relatives is my father..." Another sigh.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't be telling you all of this just now... I mean, we just met, like you said, and I'm unloading this all on you..."
------------------------------------------- The dragonboy slowed down to move his tail across the concrete at one section, and was caught by the other in mid-bend. As such, he was now it, and had to catch the other.
"Wait! Not fair! You can fly! I can't!"

Tony snorted and waved his hand, blond and pink locks falling into his face again. His hair had a habit of doing that. Still, he knew it was long, silky and near irresistible to touch. Girls played with his hair all the time. Sipping at his coffee, he hummed a little and thought.
"See... You can talk to me. 's not like I have anyone to tell really" At least, none that would be interested in anything that wasn't his love life. And, at this current time, James wasn't a part of his love life. Though he was pretty enough to be.
-----
Theis laughed and moved away quickly, shaking his head. He tapped his feet back on the ground and landed a few feet from him. "I won't fly anymore! I promise!" Now he felt kind of bad having flown to get him. He folded his wings up against his back and giggled again.

James shrugged a bit, sighed again, and took another sip of coffee as he thought about... lots of things. Things he hadn't had time to ponder on lately.
"Telling people isn't exactly the problem." he said quietly. "It's more along the lines of letting Corwin know some things about me. I guess it's in the way that most fathers feel about talking with their sons."
Another sip of coffee before he set the mug down, and leaned heavily against one hand. "I can't say it surprises me that I'm having trouble with thinking about this. I tend to overanalyze to the extreme."
------------------------------------ Corwin took off after him with his waddling gate, moving surprisingly quickly for his short and stocky stature. One might have thought that he was, well... going to be very slow. Truthfully, he moved like a reptile, and therefore could attain more speed than met the eye. Soon enough, he caught up with Theis, tagged him, and started to scramble away.

Tony shook his head a bit more and then finished off his coffee, going to get a second cup and listened again. Things were interesting already, it seemed. So, he had to wonder why he was chosen as a father. James, anyway. He knew why was a father, but James seemed to be completely uncapable of knowing what being a parent meant. But, he could always teach him.
"If you feel overwhelmed or anything, you and Corwin are more than welcome here. Theis seems to enjoy his company. And it's nice talking to another adult."
------ As he was tagged, the pixie made a whiny sound and turned on his heels, tail whipping behind him. He fluttered his wings and took off after him. He laughed and used his tail as kind of a rutter, steering his way close to Corwin.
Just when he was in tagging reach, Theis tripped over a tree root and fell, scraping his knees and one of his cheeks on the grass. It caused him to get up like he was in a daze and dust himself off.
After a few moments, the pink haired boy screamed bloody murder and started crying, tears running down his cheeks.

James paused for a moment, keen ears picking up Theis' screaming... but he didn't know if Tony could hear him. He looked up to see... and then casually remarked... "We should go check on the kids."
That said, he rose, and moved over to look out the window.
---------------------------- Corwin stopped mid-waddle, and turned around, moving back toward Theis, and using his tail to brush him off, taking him into a friendly hug. "It's okay! It's okay! Don't cry, okay? Okay? I'll go get our dads. You want me to go get your dad?"

A scream did reach his ears and he nearly flew out the door. He knew that scream. Though Tony had only heard that scream once before; and that's when Theis had hurt himself when he'd first gotten here. So, all James probably saw was his blond hair throwing open the door and racing to the park.
When he got there, he saw Tony dirty and his cheek red and bleeding in a couple of spaces. He moved around Corwin and picked his boy up, bouncing him and shushing him. "Hey, baby! Theis, babe.. It's OK! See? You're fine. We'll get you home to take you to shower.. and then we can get you some hot chocolate afterward.."
Theis didn't quiet down much. He stopped screaming, but resumed crying and sniffling, rubbing his snotty face all over Tony's shirt. It wasn't the most sanitary thing to do, but at least it wasn't on his face anymore. He said something that came out as a garbled mess of hiccups and whines.
"OK, baby, OK. We can have them over if you want..." He looked to Corwin and James, who was hopefully there. "He still wants you two to stay.. if it's OK with you two."

The man nodded, and took Corwin's hand, squeezing a bit before dropping it. Corwin was sort of half-there, being more worried about Theis than himself. After he realized that the pixie-boy was okay, he looked up at his father in hopes that he would say yes...
Which he did. "Alright. We'll stay. But I request to be able to bathe Corwin. At the same time would be nice, since you could save on water that way... and I don't have hot water in the back of the shop at the moment."

Tony nodded at James and looked to Corwin before sighing. "I'm really sorry about this... I didn't..." How could he know Theis was going to basically s**t himself with a scrap and some mud.
He led both of them back to his house once more o shower and get comfortable.
