The Ring comic a ways down cracked me up. What a great way to lower the human population.

Gonna post the classes and races here. Feel free to ask about any.
Races: Deva Dragonborn Dwarf Eladrin Elf Gnome Goliath Half-Elf Half-Orc Halfling Human Shifter (Razorclaw, Longtooth) Tiefling
Classes: Avenger (striker) Barbarian (striker) Bard (leader) Cleric (leader) Druid (controller) Fighter (defender) Invoker (controller) Paladin (defender) Ranger (striker) Rogue (striker) Shaman (leader) Sorcerer (striker) Warden (defender) Warlock (striker) Warlord (leader) Wizard (controller)
Striker: Fights one-on-one mostly, dealing lots of damage to one target, and then moving on. Defender: The tank, that sucks up damage and then fights back and stuff. Controller: Takes a lot of enemies out at a time. Leader: In addition to fighting, buffs allies.
We need at least one of each of the roles (striker, leader, blah blah) in our party. And for the sake of the party, we need 4-6 people. Any more is too easy, and less is too hard. If more than 6 want to play then we can probably split into two games, but that probably won't happen...

*has never played DnD but is interested*
I'm gonna assume if any class gets to hurl fireballs of doom its the wizard. So I call that. =P
Unless the Invoker does something cool. *has no clue what an invoker is*

An invoker is apparently like a wizard, but using divine, holy powers instead of magic ones. 3nodding

Cleric is my personal favorite. They can fight or use some magic and also have a bit of healing properties. I just like them for having a little bit of skill in everything. Not to mention they are great against the undead.
AND BLUNT WEAPONS RULE.
Oh...and dig my pick. Scale armor don't got s**t on me with this ******** src="https://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b314/F4UCorsair/img1291057904574.jpg" class="user_img" alt="User Image" />

You get an extra language. And you can be a battle-focused cleric or a buff-focused cleric.

Eladrin are like high elves, who come from the feywild. Which is different in this than from the other game I played with fey-inspired thingies. In this they're sort of a mixed bag. There's elves, who are usually nice, and not so nice creatures. They're related to normal elves, but normal elves left the feywild plane a long time ago, and Eladrin stayed.
Eladrin are good at being wizards, rogues and warlords.
Deva are confusing, and I'm not quite sure what they're all about. Gonna paraphrase what my books say here... They used to be servants of the gods, until they bound themselves to mortal bodies to fight the forces of darkness on the human plane and stuff. They're constantly reborn, and can remember who they were in their old incarnations. They're committed to being good, because if their soul is corrupted they might get reborn as a rakshasa... which I'm guessing is bad.
They're good at being avengers, clerics, invokers and wizards.

Hmmmm being a Deva Invoker sounds like fun but I'll probably not be allowed to do everything I want because I'd have to be a goody goody two-shoes all the time.
Being a dwarf warrior sounds like fun too come to think of it.
Wait...
What's a dragon born? or a goliath for that matter. I'm assuming some sort of giant but specifics would be nice.
