Azzo sighed as they walked in what seemed to be silence for a while. His free hand went behind his head and rested there as he carried stuff in the other arm.
The Oh, however caused him to frown. "No.... no nothing like that, though I'd probably very much would've rather it had been such a thing. Even trying to fight a youma on my own would've probably turned out better. Well better than listening to Grams did."
He shook his head with a frown, "Though you do better at the Youma thing." He was trying to change the subject. Away from the one thing he didn't want to talk about, and was trying to avoid like the plague.

-Poor Azzo. He didn't want to go there.. but it seemed now that that was the only place she wanted to go, her brows hitching a little more in confusion the more he spoke. He should have said no, and simply no.. but the added bit was just too enticing. What in the world could have been worse than fighting a youma? And it had something to do with his grandma?
Really she had NO clue. And it wasn't very kind of tease with information. If she didn't know then it'd be there in the back of her head all night.. for days even.- "You are keeping secrets Azzo Crowley." -She teased as she continued to eye him, shifting her items lightly between arms.- "And secrets don't make friends"

Azzo tried to look hurt, however he paused, "You kept a secret from me Aurora." He countered which was indeed the truth, however he sighed.
She was right secrets don't make friends. "You can't get mad at me if I tell you." He said with a pause, "I didn't get mad at you." He wasn't sure if Aurora was the jealous type and for now he was all confused as it was.
He sighed, "So after the whole boxing area fight thing..... in the Luchadom or whatever it is. Grams was like I should totally get a girl friend..." He paused with a heavy sigh, "I... kinda got to thinking about it and after a while something just kinda said 'ask Melody'. Since technically we both apparently have known each other since the Barren Pines thing, even if we didn't remember it or something like that... Iunno it's all weird deja-vu..... So..... I did something stupid and shouldn't've done it 'cause I mean there's certain things one shouldn't listen to their grams about."

-Ouch...
It was a flurry of arrows that dug straight into Aurora. Cold as the night.. sharp as the dagger like icicles that hung from the roof of the buildings they were walking beneath. And the worst part.. they were deserved arrows. Or atleast, it was her fault they were flying.
The shot about secrets was quick, but so very warrented that she couldn't fight it. It was so very true. While most senshi kept their secret from their families and friends.. it didn't make it anyless betraying if and when the secret did come out. Her secret had been so big and kept for so long.. she hardly had any right to ask him about anything.
It was the next one though that stopped her in her tracks, almost as if the blow had physically kept her back. There wasn't more than a sip left in her cup as she set it in the planter they were passing, her arm reaching to stop Azzo by the fabric of his shirt. She was pulling him off the center of the sidewalk and towards the wall of the building as her heart pounded in her ears.
Azzo had asked Melody out?
Azzo liked Melody in that way..?
Liked Melody.. not her.. She'd baked for him.. He'd even seen her in her nightgown at her utmost vunerable.. and it was Melody that he'd chosen.
What was it Melody had that she didn't? What was so terrible about her that even the crazed libido of highschool aged boys wasn't enough to make them want to persue her.
He'd made her promise not to get mad... but it wasn't really mad she was feeling anyway. Heartbroken was more like it. And jealous.. oh yes. That was a beast that had been eating away at both Aurora Namid AND Sailor Polaris lately, like a dark disease.
Luckily Aurora was a better actor then Azzo, squeezing back the shock and jealousy and.. despair that accompanied his admission until her stomach began to ache from the repression.
It was her fault. She'd forced him to tell. It was her fault that she was hurting like this.. she sucked at everything. And she was sucking at being a friend too now consumed entirely with herself.-
"I'm so sorry..." -Her voice was soft and hushed.- "I never should have asked..."
-She was sorry for the both of them, her head still swimming with the new information as her back came to rest against the brick wall, but in the end there was sincerity in her voice.- "I'm sorry she hurt you..."

Azzo was able to keep at least a steady and even voice when he spoke to Aurora giving the jabs and the information she was prodding for, the heartbreak was still there but he didn't sound as upset about as he'd been... He sighed, his eyes looked slightly empty as he glanced up to the stars.
When she stopped and pulled the fabric of his shirt he followed like an obedient puppy and when Aurora leaned on the brick wall he followed finishing his cup and sighing as he deposited it in a metal trash bin near him.
The cookies were still in his hand as he offered her one, face now down towards the snow. "Food makes me feel better..." He muttered as the bag swung slightly in his hand from the movement of having offered her another one. Meaning he was planning on taking another one too.
"I made the wrong choice was all..." He added in a hushed tone. "... I just... after I got to thinking about it.... after grams had said....." He shook his head. "I was stupid...."
He looked Aurora a weak smile cracked, and then with a sigh he closed his eyes trying to keep the dark thoughts down. The things he said weren't all meant to hurt Aurora, the jabs were just that, he wanted her to realize that sometimes it's better to let things come out on their own. Something shimmered trailing down his cheek. "I just don't get it...." He whispered quietly.

"Yeah..." -She agreed softly to his comment, taking a cookie when he offered one to her. She nibbled at it halfheartedly. It was a proven fact that food could be comforting. Ecspecially carbs or chocolate. And the two of them each had their share of things they wanted comfort for.
Her head was down too, until it was obvious that he was looking at her, and it was difficult for her to actually look at him. To see how sad his eyes were even despite the smile... to have that toxic mixture of self loathing for herself and pity for him.-
"I don't know why she said no......" -She set her basket carefully down beside her before letting her hands wrap around his arm lightly. He could shake it off in a second if he tried, but she clung nonetheless delicately.- "Maybe she was just afraid.." -Aurora didn't know what to offer other than that.. She had no clue why their friend had denied him... and since she was their friend.. it was hard to take the root of bad mouthing her. What would she have said if the tables had been turned? If he'd asked her? Aurora didn't know.. nor was she in the right state of mind at the moment to really think about it.
There was one thing she did know however, and it all came rushing out like water though an open flood gate when she saw the moisture on his cheek.- "I know why you did it though."
"Because it's wrong that noone loves us. That everyone else in the world has someone."
"How could you not want someone?"
-Her cheeks were soon sporting matching glittering accents like his, her voice becoming higher pitched with every sentence she spoke.- "We are almost adults Azzo. People our own ages are getting engaged, married even. It's the way things are supposed to be."
"I'm 17 years old and I've never had a boyfriend. They don't even look at me, aren't even interested. My first and only kiss was stolen by some street vagrant in a dark alley" -She was being selfish again, lamenting woefully. The two of them were quite the pair... But atleast Azzo didn't suck. It was Aurora that did. And maybe Melody a little bit too...-

He took a cookie himself and sat his things down beside her's while listening to her his eyes had fallen again. He sighed softly letting her hands stay there, for some reason he didn't have the heart to shake her off.
He paused, when she brought up her age. He started chuckling, he couldn't help it. It wasn't funny, but he was chuckling none the less, finishing the cookie he took his hand and wiped away her tears if she'd let him. "Aww... Aurora you're only 17.... you have plenty of time to find someone." He said softly trying to pull her closer into a hug.
"They probably think you're off limits because you're a crystal girl, they've probably all set you on a pedestal." He shook his head sighing softly. "You'll find someone, don't forget you're a sailor scout, anything is possible Aurora." He added and flashed a grin, "Any guy would be lucky to have you. They just haven't realized it yet."
He was wondering himself if he'd asked her if things would have been different, however, he didn't have the heart to try again. Not now, he couldn't ruin another friendship, however he'd stay positive for her if it'd make her feel better. He could emo enough for the both of them while being useless in a fight

-She didn't stop him from wiping her tears. But his laughter, even if it wasn't AT her, hardly inspired her mood. He sounded like he was talking to a child. And she wasn't one.. she was 17. This wasn't how it was supposed to be.
Eventually. It would come eventually.
Or she'd die first. Or, even worse, that eventually would just slide on into forever, and before she knew it she'd be an old maid, living all by herself in a loft with a cat. Maybe if she were lucky it'd atleast be a guardian cat.. spare her the crazy of being an old woman who talked to cats that didn't talk back.
She allowed her self to be hugged, leaning her head gently against his shoulder as he tried to comfort her. At the very least she could register his words as being sweet..- "Do you want to.. just.."
"sit here for a little while longer... before we go home" -It was getting late.. and the snow was beginning to fall again, tiny slow flakes drifting down towards the white earth.-

Azzo sighed, "I'm sorry." He said softly as he kept her there rubbing her back softly for a second. "It's just your still in high school, you haven't been through an organ harvesting ring, and hell you're one kick a** senshi." He added with a smile.
"You got lucky, and you'lll find someone." He said softly looking up at the snow that was falling, nodding in agreement to the sitting there for a little while before they went home. "It's nice out, even if it's cold." He answered as he watched the snow fall.
He was looking down at her now, "Who knows, maybe you'll meet a nice guy senshi. I bet he'll pull to you like Metal." He knew they existed so it wasn't that far fetched, well maybe the fact she'd pull them to her, unless the guy had on armor...

-Poor Azzo was trying so hard. So hard that it made it hard for her to be mad. He was patronizing her.. though she doubted he meant it. She was being overly negative and there was very little she could do about it. So she was simply sad.. dejected, silent for the most part as she watched the cold dark night slowly drift by.-
"Maybe.. maybe everything will be okay one day" -She said to nothing and everything, letting a sigh rattle through her before she settled herself more comfortably.
The snow fell softly, beginning to create a thin layer on their items and jackets, melting away as it fell anywhere close enough to body heat.
In the morning there would be an extra inch on the ground, and the two would be off in their seperate beds and homes, but for now they sat side by side in shared pity and regret, creating a mark in the snow that would remain long after they'd left.-

He sighed as he moved his head, "It'll be okay for sure." He said softly, as he made sure she was warm. "The only way it won't be okay is if you don't let it be."
He could say a lot of things that sounded believable, that didn't mean he believed it. He sighed before leaning on her a bit, giving her a sad smile, "You're a super hero after all. How couldn't it be okay?" He stretched slightly, he loathed her for it, but he had gotten over that enough that it didn't show. He might've spent days pacing angrily but in the end she was his friend.
He watched the snow fall around them, Azzo was quite for a while, just listening to the snow falling. "It sounds sad doesn't it?" He asked curiously the streets were quite it seemed the snow was keeping most people indoors. So it was quite enough you could hear the snow fall when you listened.

-Perhaps she was just becoming too exhausted to argue it anymore... but Aurora took Azzo's advice, letting the topic fall to the side for the moment. She'd have plenty of time to dwell on it later. Hours to mull over the things they'd talked about.
His question drew her attention and she replied softly.- "I always thought snow was beautiful, but you're right... this snow seems sad." -The flakes were big and sloppy, falling so slowly and solitarily...
And finally after a long while... - "We should probably go before too long. So neither of us catch a cold"

When she replied his eyes followed the snowflakes, "I wonder why..." He mused as his eyes followed large flake, after large flake. It was something to ponder over, what reasons would the snow flakes have for being sad? Granted it might be a bit silly but nothing in Destiny, as Azzo had learned, was ever what it appeared to be.
Azzo nodded as he got up, offering to help her up, before picking up their things. "Shall I walk you back to crystal?" He offered. He didn't seem to mind, offering to walk her back was one of those things Azzo often did with friends. Even if she was magical, he had no intentions of letting her walk by herself.

-Accepting the offered hand she got up, gathering her things and waiting for Azzo to gather his. Maybe she'd get to see him again before Christmas now that they'd atleast made the effort to sooth things over. But for now a walk home was good enough. One step at a time.
One thing was certain though, she couldn't wait for a time when the she... or both of them could smile again.-
