Personal History: It had been like any other day out on the ship. He stood proud next to his warrior ready to defend. The mares below softly talking to each other. Some had foals already. Land had been sighted that afternoon. It sent a thrill through his body and he could feel it coming off his warrior as well. They plan to expand their tribe to a new land. They where the ones to scout it out and see if it’s inhabitable. Well…at least that’s how it all started out.

By night fall a horrible wind came up and whipped the sails. He knew the storm was coming, so did the mares who seemed panicked. They did have no where to go to truly avoid the storm. But he called down to them with words of comfort for they had experienced warriors. He could hear the warriors’ mares soothing the kirin mares too.

Waves rose up and crashed down knocking the ship around like a toy boat. At some point the ship caught fire, probably from lightning. At this point he was trying to stay calm. It was chaos on the ship. There was no where to go but off the ship, but the water looked menacing. Some had already fled, the small boats set out into the water. Mares screamed, by now he couldn’t tell whose mares.

But soon, a familiar presence was with him. It wasn’t his warrior, he could see him not far from him. Looking to his left he saw her. It was Aishling. She was his only mare. She looked like this was no big deal. If she was a stallion she would have made a fine mount for a warrior. She was fiery, spirited, adventurous. No other mare could be at his side if it wasn’t Aishling. She came out of a noble line of kirins. And in the end, he decided to do a rare thing among their kind. He lifemated himself to her before they even successfully mated.

After that, everything is a blur. He soon found himself waking up on a sandy beach with a forest looming over him. He looked around franticly and found Aishling there beside him. He sighed heavily and worked himself to standing. Looking out towards the water he could some smoke rising far out onto the water. Was everyone else gone? Did anyone else survive? Looking towards the forest…he soon realized that it was just going to be him and Aishling colonizing this wild place.

He looked to her and she smiled at him. The wind whipped at her mane and tail and made her look as wild and untamed as the new world towering over them.
