Kasi's fur stood up at his comment, her face furrowing into a childish frown. "I'm not being a brat," she protested loudly. "You're just being a jerk!" She nodded firmly. He was so annoying! Why couldn't he just see that she was right and be done with it? Seeing that he was standing up, as if he was going to leave, she straightened her posture.
"Fine, I bet your mother is looking for you, since you snuck away," she retorted, and tossed her head, looking faintly silly since it was a dramatic gesture which simply didn't suit a cub. "I'm going to stay out and practice my sparring!" She turned her back on him, prepared to stalk away dramatically and show him that he couldn't walk away from her, 'cause she had better things to do then hang around him.
Unfortunately, her plan was spoiled and she squeaked, stumbling back a few steps when she noticed a scorpion, tailed raise and venom dripping, not far from her paws. She had nearly stepped on it! Her ears and tail drooped, as backed up further, careful to put room between her and the creature. She hoped Kakek hadn't seen that! That squeak was so not brave, nor was her fast retreat.

Kakek looked at the female and arched a brow before shaking his head and growling a little more then he did before. "No, I'm more then sure that you're being a brat!" He grumbled slightly, he knew what a brat acted like, his sister who was a little older than himself acted like this, her father called her bratty when she acted like that. Because of that he was pretty sure that she was being a brat at this point. How could she be denying it?
He rolled his eyes at her and then shook his head. "My mom is working, she won't be home until much later." He grumbled in response to her. He watched her start to wander away but he watched her stop and squeak and as she stumbled back he couldn't help but to laugh. He thought it was hilarious that as she was turning around it appeared that she might be turning right back around. He flopped down on his haunches again and arched a brow at her before laughing again and wandering by herside and looking down at the scorpion. "Whats the matter? It's just a little scorpion." He rolled his eyes as he looked down at her, his father taught him how to take care of those things before and he knew he could manage it but he thought it was funny that she couldn't.

Oh no. He had seen it. Not only that, but he found it funny. She felt her cheeks heat beneath her fur, mortified that he had seen such an unfighterly display of fear. She huffed as he walked to her side, a heavy frown on her face. "I was just surprised!" She protested, not wanting to admit that she hated scorpions. They could kill lions easily if they were large enough, the poison acting quick throughout the cat's veins and leaving them dead without an antidote to it. She had stumbled upon them a few times and it just wasn't good. Not at all.
Usually when she saw them, she turned tail and left, quickly. Usually to find one of her parents to remove the foul thing from it's presence but hesitating and ignore it instead, not wanting to admit to her parents that she was afraid of the little creature.
She couldn't leave now though, not with Kakek watching. She hesitating, having seen a few lions just bat the scorpion away, but she seemed frozen. Gah. She hated Scorpions.

Kakek looked at her and rolled his eyes before shaking his head. "The best thing to do is just to turn around and head the other way. It's the best thing to do because other side you're going to sit here and spend a large amount of frustrating time trying to fight it." He laughed at her again before he turned around and then he started to trot away. "Just go home." He chuckled again before he puffed out his chest once again and started to wander back home, he knew that it was really the best idea for him to do for now. He was tired of this female and he just wanted to go home.
He turned back for a moment then looked at her and then shrugged and started to walk away. He had better thigns to do anyway.

Kasi would never - ever - admit it out loud, but she listened to his advice carefully. When she realised it was exactly what she had been doing anyway, she felt her chest puff out a little bit. She already knew how to take care of Scorpions then! She felt proud, even if Kakek had been witness to her rather humiliating display of squeaking and freaking out over them. "I already knew that!" She made sure to tell him, as if she hadn't been practically paralysed with fear over the scorpion. When he laughed again and turned, telling her to go home, she frowned but had to agree. She should get back, and hope her mother wasn't angry at her for sneaking away.
She carefully sidestepped the scorpion and began to set off home, pausing to glance back over her shoulder at him, as he moved away. She thought about calling out a farewell to him, but he was a jerk, so she didn't. Instead, she continued back home, head held high and hoping no more little scorpions crossed her path along the way.
