"I know I am." He smiled at Tatsuo. Mikael watched Tatsuo as they walked along the path. He seemed very inquisitive. Mikael thought it was cute. "Do you like birds Tatsu?"

Tatsuo looked over his shoulder at Mikhael and gave a smile and a nod, "Yes, birds are... very small so they aren't to scary." He said as he continued to follow along after the little girl as long as it allowed before it flew ahead a few steps, making sure to be ever out of its way, "They are... pretty too, I like their colors." Some were brightly color, reminding him of some of his friends like Kal, while others were more plainly colored like his Daddy. Either way they were all pretty in his book.
"What about you? What kinds of animals do you like, Mikael?" He asked, finding that he liked this topic of conversation since it was a fun one as well as a simple one.

"Yeah lots of colors." He smiled and hummed a bit. "Hmm. I'm not really sure I like any one animal over another. But I like white colored animals, they also remind me of a friend." He thought of Ai and blushed a bit.

"White colored animals? Like... like polar bears?" He asked in a curious manner, having seen them on the animal channel on the television and recalled them as being all white themselves. That was a neat way to pick a favorite animal, by their color, and different from him who picked it by danger level, "What is your friend like who they remind you of?" He wondered if his friend liked animals too or maybe acted like one? Was that why the white animals reminded him of his friend?
He had so many questions that came to mind but didn't want to ask them all, not straight away, not wanting to bury his new friend in them or seem like a bother. At the same time he was quite curious about the other friend of his. It had him thinking on the others and he found himself mentally comparing some of his friends to animals he'd seen on television and saw in books. It was a comparison that he found to be funny and amusing to him.

Mikael thought for a minute. "Hmm.. I'd say a bunny, or a dove. He's cute and airy in some ways. Not to say that you are bad or whatever." He sighed. He wasn't sure what to say.

Tatsuo gave a bit of a smile, "Those animals are both cute and nice so your friend must be too." He said, wondering what his friend might be like if he were like a bunny or a dove. He gave the other boy a nod as Mikael said that he didn't mean to say that Tatsuo was bad for anything, "I understand." He knew that he wasn't exactly like a bunny himself given all the scales he had all over his body. Still, that the other boy was nice enough to reassure him like that made him like Mikael that much more.
Turning toward the edge of the path of the path and gave a happy sound when he saw another bird bouncing along, this one a robin if he recall the name right. They were the ones with the red chests, right? He gave a giggle as they walked closer to it instead of flying away from them it just hopped along lazily, "What a silly bird." He murmured, before hurrying to keep up with Mikael.
"We are nearing the end of the path soon you two, we will probably be there in ten to fifteen minutes at the pace we are walking." Kiyoshi spoke up, "Do you want to continue along with us until there, Mikael?" He asked of the other boy that was keeping his son company. Anyone that made Tatsuo smile was good in his eyes.

Mikael smiled. "Yeah he is. My first friend around here. He grew up though. I don't see him much anymore. I'll walk with you both until we get there." He chuckled. Tatsuo was like Ai, but different. He was more shy, and a little flighty. But Mikael thought of him as a friend now.

Tatsuo gave a smile when his new friend said that he would walk with them to where they were going, something that made the last leg of the walk a little more enjoyable for the quiet, green haired boy. He watched the passing animals with his friend, pointing out a couple of neat looking birds and even got to see a passing squirel carrying an acorn which pleased him greatly, though as they reached the end of their walk he gave a sad sound in his throat, "Ahh! Oh no." He murmured, looking to his Dad for a moment and then to Mikael, giving him a sad smile, "Seems our walk is over... it was nice meeting you Mikael!" He said, stepping closer so he could take hold of his hand, giving it a little shake then a squeeze.
"We should walk together again sometime, it made it a lot more fun." He told his friend before turning to go over to his Dad, wrapping both of his arms around one of his Dad's arms, cuddling closer to him.
Kiyoshi smiled down at his son fondly before his attention went to Mikael, "It was nice to walk with you, Mikael, if you want to walk with us again I would like that." He said, digging into his pocket for a moment so he could get out a paper, writing their number on it, and handed it over to the kind young boy that had kept his son company and treated him so well the entire time, "Any time you want to come play feel free to call."

He smiled and walked in silence. He enjoyed the peace. He chuckled. "It's ok Tatsuo. It was nice meeting you as well." He shook Tatsuo's hand and smiled. "That would be fun. Oh sure. Thanks for letting me walk with you sir." He takes the piece of paper and nods. "Ok will do! I gotta go! See ya!" He put the paper in his pocket. He turned and raced off back into the woods. He now had a new friend.
