Malodore had to think for a moment about what stick guy meant, given that the swamp creature almost certainly didn't mean a return to drumming. "Waving the stick? Like a violin bow or-"
Oh. Wait.
Oh.
Malodore closed its beak mid-word. The idea of Gargantuan leading an orchestra... oh merde. "I think you need more than two people to direct with the stick," it said, after a long moment of horrified imagining.

Kasumi smiled at G and Malodore. The thought of keeping the band together, so to speak, was a pleasant one, so long as they didn't have to battle anyone anymore. "Well, maybe you can do something else, Amjee? Being a conductor requires more than two people to direct, like Mr. Malodore said. But what about something else? Like..." The ghost had to think for a moment, wondering what sort of instrument would lend to Amjee's inherent strengths.
What about a xylophone? Or a tuba? "Maybe something bigger for you. I'd still like to play in a band with the two of you, if you two wouldn't mind. I rather like playing with you."
Maybe she wouldn't sing this time. She'd always wanted to try her hand at something else. Maybe a lute? Or a harp? Something stringed sounded nice. No matter what they did, Kasumi wanted to still be with the group. She thought they played so well together and they wouldn't break up in a huff like most bands did. No, they were different! They were alternative! Ooh, so independent. So righteous. So awesome. The ghost would be more than happy to continue to work with them if the others so chose to do that.
