A l i c exxxS h e r i d a nwasn't it beautiful runnin' wild til you fell asleep? x x x x x x x x xbefore the monsters caught up to you . . .▪xx▪xx▪xx▪xx▪She eyed the others closely, examining them and wondering the most unusual things. She eyed this Asian girl in the back, thinking Has she ever had an orgasm? Then Alice turned her attention to the Russian woman leading them. Now, she's had way too many orgasms. She asked herself these questions because she believed they were all being lead to their deaths. She had originally believed the woman. Alice was one of the last that the Russian had gathered so there were many to convince her to come along. But now, as they neared this "sanctuary," she felt tricked and had never before felt so naive. She eyed the others, wondering if they felt the same. She was also trying to pick someone out to spend her last moments with. The few she had wanted to hold hands with before they would be slaughtered like animals did not seem to want to hold hands with anyone. She vowed to haunt whoever did her in and then haunt their children and then haunt their children's children.
Alice didn't pay attention to her surroundings so much--woods didn't interest her. It wasn't until the group came upon a massive structure that she looked away from the others.
"Dis is ze place. Heiligtum Castle."
She'd seen pictures of castles, but had never been interested enough to visit one. She'd lived in Liverpool for Christ's sake. So it naturally made her jaw slack when she eyed the massive raised portcullis in the light of the torch lamps. They walked underneath that portcullis into a massive courtyard covered in a gray cobblestone. A few torches were lit on the far end, so it was hard to examine anything else closely. Although, Alice could swear she had a horse snort--not that Alice had ever seen a horse up close and personal.
The Russian lead them across the courtyard and up a set of stairs to a large wooden door. Everyone filed inside after the woman. Stupid... Alice purposefully dropped her bag and some of the things fell out right on the stoop.
"Oh, bloody hell!" she feigned.
She knelt down to pick things up and was able to peer inside. There was a large, iron chandelier with two tiers of lit candles hanging from the high, arched ceiling. There was a mural painted on the wall to the left which resembled something from the Sistine Chapel with angels and cherubs. There was a large grand staircase that branched off to the left and right through another set of doors. Wooden benches lined two sides of the entrance hall.
Maybe this is real. We're not going to die.
The Russian had called for someone as soon as she had entered the hall. Alice did not catch the foreign name.
"Girls, folloh me. Boys, folloh Aldrich. Ve vill shoh you your rooms."
Screw that... Alice wanted to explore while no one was there to pester her. And in the back of her mind, she imagined she would be able to escape the easiest if this was all just a plan to kill werewolves. She could shift into a wolf and take off into the wilderness without anyone knowing the better. Thinking no one had noticed she was still outside, she reached into her jacket pocket and pulled out her only pack of cigarettes and her orange lighter. She had been in America when the Russian woman found her and, during her stay, had fallen in love with Marlboro 100's. They were cheap, and in her opinion, they were stronger than the cheap stuff in England. Opening the pack, she felt her heart sink: her last cigarette. As the the group split into males and females, Alice lit her last indulgence. Maybe someone else will have some. ▪xx▪xx▪xx▪xx▪ can we just pretend those airplanes are shooting stars?

Kiza hesitated outside of the large doors of the castle. Every since she had been turned she'd grown to dislike enclosed spaces. But as she saw everyone else go in, she decided to follow, it's not like she had a much of a choice anyway. Go in and accept what ever happens or stay outside and be killed by hunters. She went in ahead of the other girl who was pulling cigs out of her bag. Kiza continued to follow the russian woman to their rooms. I wander what they'll look like or if they'll be cold.

...crunch...
Aspen opened her hand, allowing the now shattered leaf flutter away. She was sitting beneath a tree, her bag strapped securely to her. She dropped the leaf, it's brittle remains swept away on the wind. She reached to her neck, tooling with the necklace that was always there, thinking. She was sure that something was near. She'd smelled them a while back, many of them. Many of us she corrected herself. She had been traveling for days, not wanting to use the money she had stashed except for emergencies, she'd mostly come by foot.
She took her hand away from the dangling heart when it began to ache. The heart was silver, but plated in a thin sheet of platinum. Good thing the Cordalias don't spare expense The platinum made it possible for her to even wear the necklace, but prolonged touching it sent shooting pains through her hands and head. The girl stood and continued through the forest. She touched a tree, closed her eyes and furrowed her brow. She saw faint images of deer passing, their fur brushing the bark, a bird perched on a low branch, and then another-a woman, with her back to the tree.
There you are... Asp removed her hand and shook off the vision. She walked forward, wondering when she was going to find them, wondering what they'd be like.
.....And I'll respond with, "Why aren't you?" ♠♤♠♤♠♤♠♤♠♤♠♤♠♤♠♤♠♤♠♤♠♤♠♤♠

((Sorry! Been sick as a dog. Now, to try to get everyone to the castle!)) Ludwig passed through the forest in long, gaping strides. As each paw hit the cold, frosty ground, he grew one step closer to a new scent. It wasn't a human: it was one of his kind. He felt a sense of urgency as he raced through the woods, further and further away from the walls of his keep, to find whomever had entered his territory, so much so that he shifted into a wolf within seconds nearly doubling his speed. He felt no threat coming from the person, only a danger surrounding them by being out alone. Not that that means anything...
When he came within range, he could tell it was a female by the odor. She smelled of citrus... oranges. Tanya had not picked this one out; she had found her own way here. He pondered a few seconds as to how she could have made it here alive. He didn't believe in coincidences--this girl was sent to him. He saw her form ahead in the darkness, walking towards him, towards his home. He felt the hairs on his neck stand on end as he caught the scent of silver. Faint as it was, it was still a threat. No lycan would carry silver... he said to himself as he put the thought aside. It would be dealt with later.
He shifted from wolf to wolfman almost instantaneously as he came within yards of her. He made no attempts at silence, so the girl was surely aware of him before she could see him. Once she caught sight of him coming through the trees, he looked into her face, memorizing it, and exhaled sharply when he was done, his warm breath turning visible in the cold air. His muscles twitched under his dark gray fur as he continued to memorize everything else he could about her: her smell, her clothes, her physical appearance, and the things she carried. He did it all within seconds; she wouldn't know the better.
He did not bother to change to human form. He would hold more control over the situation if he stayed as a werewolf. He learned not to underestimate anyone anymore. The last time he did, he nearly lost everything he had built for himself, Tanya, and his family (what he called the villagers). Even a human can bring down a lycan...
"Follow." He put the word in her head. And with that, he took off into the woods again. If she was of any worth, she could easily follow him back. But if she was smart, she'd do it as a human.

Ya zvezda, ty zvezda…Lana closed her eyes, clutching her tattered notebook to her chest. This woman was human, and she wasn't sure she could fully trust her. After all, humans were the reason she was in this situation anyways. Lana often wondered why they couldn't just accept her, why they couldn't come to terms with their fear. Shaking her head, she took the step through the door. There was no turning back now.
Lana listened to the woman and glanced around. She had to follow her a bit farther, and then... Lana didn't know. Either this really was a sanctuary, or she was five minutes from her demise. Whichever one it was, it was still better than the hell she'd been living in Moscow.…Nas prikazano szhech.

THIS CHARACTER IS AN NPC● xxx ● xxx ● ╔═════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗ Darren held to the large trunk of the tree tightly and waited. Just a few more steps... He had heard the boy wandering around the castle soon after Tanya had brought the new herd through the village. Ludwig and he were out doing the "patrol," as the former put it. Darren believed it was stupid, to put it lightly, but he jumped at the chance to do some damage.
Despite being a werewolf, the boy who was on the ground below was fair game. No one came on to this land unless they were welcomed to do so.
This tree was a genius idea, if I do say so myself. He was downwind from the boy, the air brushing against his muzzle. And out of sight in the evergreen's bushy branches. His hands and fur would smell like pine, but that would only bother him later.
There was a faint smell of cigarette in the air...
As soon as the small wolf let out a bark, Darren lept down from the tree and smashed his fist on the back of his head. The wolf fell to the ground unconscious.
Darren sighed as he morphed back into his human form. He didn't quite have the stamina to maintain the wolfman as he would have liked. He knelt down to pick up the limp body and heaved it over his shoulder.
"You're going to the dungeon, I bet," he said with a proud grin on his face.
He moved quickly to get back to the warmth of the castle he called home. The climate in Germany in November was not kind to those who walked outside in just a pair in ripped shorts. Then again, the dungeon isn't that warm either... He thought of the damp, musty smell mixed with the bitter cold, stale air. He'd have to stay with whoever it was on his shoulder till he came back to consciousness.
One second thought: he'd take him to one of the abandoned rooms. Still menacing, but definitely warm with a lit fireplace.
* * * * *
The room Darren had picked was one of the unused rooms on the top floor. It had probably been unused for decades, centuries for all he knew. Dusty lay in thick carpets all over the room. He had called for one of the maids to stoke a fire and gather some rope. She looked confused, but kept her mouth shut when she noticed the black wolf he was carrying.
The walls and floors were bare. Not a single tapestry or rug to be seen. There was a wooden table in the corner of the room with a couple chairs still in place. The fireplace was stained black with ash. There was a broken bed frame leaning against the far wall. The room was fairly small, with a low ceiling compared to the nearly fifteen foot ceilings of the other bedrooms.
Darren dropped the wolf onto the floor and the dust billowed up in small clouds. Instead of the maid returning, it was one of the grooms. He gave the rope to Darren, lit the fire, and left the room quick as a pistol, closing the door behind him. Within seconds the room was warm, almost cozy. The fire was casting shadows all over the stone walls and floors. All we need is a non-broken bed, a few curtains, and we're in business.
Darren pulled up a chair next to the fire, praying that it wouldn't break under his weight. He laid the rope next to his feet, deciding to only use it in case the werewolf decided to cause trouble. Now all he had to do was wait. Whoever this was had some serious explaining to do. ╚═════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Sion yelps when first hit then wakes up later in a strange room. He leaps to his feet and into the corner of the room farthest from the man growling, then shifts back to human and places his hand on the back of his head, "was there really a cause for that? I would have easily come with you if you had just asked."

● xxx ● xxx ● ╔═════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗ Darren lowered his head. Not in shame, but to chuckle to himself. He stood up from the chair and ignored the nakedness of the man in the corner. He was used to nudity, sadly, even female nudity. "You came through my land without asking. I'll deal with you how I want," he said in a light, yet threatening tone. "Now... if we do this nicely, I won't have to use this." He pointed to the bundle of rope on the ground.
"I want answers, boy." He wasn't quite sure how old this guy was. He looked young, so he was going to assume young. "What are you doing here? You obviously didn't come with the others." ╚═════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Sion glares at the man, "I'm trying to find my uncle. So sorry for tresspassing. To be honest it's been almost ten years since I've been in Germany and this forest is in the same general area that his house was before. Now if I may ask a question, where is the bag that I had with me before you jumped me?" He stands up strait and folds his arms across his chest.

● xxx ● xxx ● ╔═════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗ "Your uncle? From this area?" Darren scratched his chin in thought. Maybe the guy didn't do anything wrong... He didn't acknowledge most of what the man said after he heard "same general area." Ludwig would know of his uncle or at least have some sort of record.
He folded his arms across his bare chest and turned his back to the fire, partly to face the man and partly to feel the warmth of the flames against his backside. He stared the man square in the eye before he extended his hand as a sign of friendship. "Sorry about the confusion then. Thought you were...--well, it doesn't matter."
Darren decided to address the issue of his belongings. "It's probably outside. Where I found you. But, you really shouldn't be outside at night alone. Tell you what, we'll put you up in here for the night and find your things tomorrow." ╚═════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝
