Arya tried to think hard, she didn't stop running, this way and that way she turned, trying to dodge the hawk's sight. She heard a thud as the hawk hit a tree and she couldn't help but smile a little, despite the fact she was quickly running out of breath. She could spy the thickness in the trees getting lighter and hope she was near the edge of the woods.
She flinched and turned as the hawk/Soquili screeched, "think think think, where's best, here or there, think Arya think" her mind screamed at her as she tried to make a decision.

Kimi was through trying to herd the creature back into the thickness of the trees. Done playing games. She was hungry... her tummy grumbled and rumbled as if in responce to her thoughts... yes, Kimi was VERY hungry. She would not be denied her kill yet again, not when her kill was nothing more than a pathetic Usdias who was managing to evade her.
Kimi followed the darting movements. Left, right, left, right.... left..... thinning trees, thundering heart she took her chance. Flinging herself forward in an effort to strike the creature with all the force she could muster. She lunged....
Closer and closer she came, the creatures scent filled the air, the small of her blood a lure that Kimi could no longer resist.
Closer... closer... closer....

Arya's little legs were tiring but she had to keep going, if she didn't, she could be killed and very likely eaten. She darted left suddenly, spying a lighter parting in the trees.
She could almost hear the hawk's wingbeats behind her, it was getting closer and she was getting tired, her breath coming in ragged gasps as she sought to avoid the skinwalker flying above her. She could practically feel the rush of air from those wings beating, banking to the left again she scrambled down a small slope, nearer to the narrowing trees.

Kimi had been watching the mares movements, when she wanted to turn left her tail would be pulled right moments before she shifted her weight to move... the opposite could be said for a right turn.
Which was why when Kimi saw the sudden flick of the mares tail to the left she assumed the mare would turn right in a moments time. Pre-emptively Kimi darted right, trying to use the manover to her advantage before the mare even realised what had happened. Yet too late she realised she alone had turned right. No mare... no kill... no food!
Kimi turned her head, her hawk eyes honing on in the creature that had instead turned left. Now Kimi was pissed!
BOOM!
Kimi's attention had all been on the creature, so focused in her bloodlust that she had neglected her path. Crumpled and riddled with pain Kimi screeched a shrill cry out into the evening sky. Pain shot through her the side of her wing and head from the impact with the tree, she was panting... winded and exhausted for her efforts. Again she hissed as he hawk eyes watched the mare get further and further away.
Once again Kimi would go hungry.

Arya raced, her heart pounding in her chest and ears, he ran right out into open country she'd heard a loud thud and hoped it hadn't been the mare landing and shifting into Soquili form once more to make the kill.
She panted hard and ran until she couldn't anymore, slowing she looked back and up, and to her immense relief there was no sight of the mare .. in either form. "thank....goodness" she panted, folding her legs up and sinking into the sun warmed grass. She shuddered a little and laid her head down to try and sleep. Safe for the moment.
