Last person who did that with me, really wanted to get on my nerves, surely enough, they did. I kicked him and he skidded into a table and gonked his head. I lost my temper and I went out of control.

These are a few of several TRUE accounts of racism involving people I know well:
I have a Chinese friend who once was going over to Chinatown for dinner, so she had to cross a street to get to a restaurant. And while she was crossing, there were these people sitting in a car and holding a video camera. (I won't say what nationality these people were - just that they weren't Chinese) They were shouting at her, something like, "Hey you! Yeah you! Say something stupid in Chinese to the camera! Hahhaa, something like 'ching chong chow su'!...Hey stupid! I'm talking to you! Say something stupid in Chinese, stupid! You heard me, China-girl! Hahaha!" She would have liked to cuss them out right there at the moment, but being the nice person she was, she just ignored them and continued on her way. But she was extremely angry and pissed afterwards, and I know I would've been too if I were in her shoes...Geez..talk about racist people!! *cough*assholes*cough* scream
And another time was when my dad went out to Chinatown for work. He happened to park in a tight space and the bumper of his car hit another car's bumper by accident while he was parking. It just so happened that the owner of the car, a non-Asian man, was nearby and saw what happened and he said stuff like, "Hey watch it, you China-man! Don't ever do that again or I'll have your f-ing a** whipped!" Another racist remark and another case of racial discrimination...I mean, he did hit the guy's car bumper, but why did that guy have to give him such an icy cold shoulder?!? stressed
Yeah...I'm generally annoyed because racism happens everywhere, not only for us Asians but for many other nationalities as well. Though much of the relations between different races have improved somewhat over the decades, racism still inevitably exists today, unfortunately... cry

I had a minor racist incident at a shoe shop 2 weeks ago. A large group of caucasian men, 22+ yrs old I'd say, were looking at me and my girlfriend. Then one of them said out loudly, "So these shoes were MADE IN CHINA" to which the whole group began sniggering and smirking. It really makes me sick that people like that still exist these days, and it always feels like there's nothing we can do except ignore them seeing as we're an ethnic minority.

I don't seem to suffer from racism so much myself... Probably because my school is generally... um... how do you say it? Well educated, I guess... Hm... It's a good thing, because there's not much of the racist side at all, and no physical bullying at all. However, I'm sure there's a little trace of other types of bullying, just not to the extremes. All schools have bullying... sad
Gah, I'm getting sidetracked now! whee Sorry! No, I don't particularly think that phrase is racist in itself... But with intent (like the above example provided) in those situations, yes, I totally think that's racism. I have, however, nothing against people who ask me if "so and so" means anything in Chinese. They're either seriously asking me a proper question, or having a joke with me - not properly being racist. I must admit, though, it irks me when people upon people ask you to speak Chinese for them. whee I just get so fed up of it after a while, even though it is pretty flattering. I don't like speaking in Chinese to other people, lol...
On the topic of bullying, actually (I'm getting sidetracked, sorry!), I remember suffering from mild racist remarks when I was a child. Like chinky and stuff. It was quite painful and pissing off, but it wasn't anything major, and has never effected me in any way. Probably because it wasn't anything big and I was so young I can't remember anything... lol... I guess that's a good thing. In the UK, I admit, there are still the odd racist people, with the usual stupid racist remarks, but nothing, from what I have seen, has ever been so bad as the above examples. I've never heard anything so... racist. Well, against Chinese people anyway. I think it's terrible...
I admit, I prefer Chinese people - It's cause I'm biased though, not because I'm racist. I feel inclined towards my kind. We're all humans, I know, but my English school classmates don't speak English, don't have parents like mine with their weird beliefs, and weren't brought up the way I was. It's kind of different, our culture and theirs. I do find it hard to fit in sometimes, but I try my best. Which is why, I like making Chinese friends as well as English ones. They make me feel more acceptable of myself, in a sense. I'm not the only Chinese girl in the UK who's English is better than her Chinese, who feels like she belongs in the UK more than China as she's grown up here, who feels more English than Chinese... Inside, I feel like an English person sometimes, but I know I'm not. I know when someone looks at me, they'll immediately think, "Chinese", not in a biased way, but in a judgemental mind kind of way...
Gah, I really am getting sidetracked... I should stop talking... If anyone agrees in making a thread to talk about whether we prefer living in a foreign country and living with different ethnic/race people, and feeling/not feeling like them and belonging there, you should start a thread... God, I could talk for hours. xd

Somehow i thought this was a really nasty/racist man :
It happened to my mum, she was taking the trash bin through the back to the other side, and then this man (non-asian) walked up to her and started asking her if she know how to speak english, so she said she only knew lil bit. And so the man changed his expression and started shouting at my mum, telling her to take the trash bin to the other side! My mum didnt know how to reply so she walked on and the man followed her and kept making nasty remarks! So my mum then started yelling all kinds of insults to him in chinese, then the man just laughed at her for talking in chinese, so my mum got really angry and put her middle finger up! Still the man laughed, and soon the man left her alone. When my mum came back into the house she seemed really angry, so i asked her what was the problem. Afterwards my dad came back home and my mum told him all about what happened, my dad was furious and seemed as if he wanted to pick a fight with the man. So he gone out of the house and looked for him around the back. It seems that the man went somewhere else and my dad found out where he lived so he knocked on the door and the mans wife looked out and ignored him. Then this old man came up to him and asked my dad why was he knocking on the door so loud. My dad explained to the man what happened and the man said that the man (who was being racist to my mum) had a really weird personality, cos the old mans brother once parked at this particular spot where the racist man used as a parking space, so the man got all angry and started yell at the old mans brother for parking there, cos that place was his space!
Honestly i hate people who are racist mad i just sometimes wish that all racist people would all have some horrible death soon, cos they really dont deserve to live 3nodding

For example, yesterday my chem teacher Mr Wheeler made a fairly random joke. He asked my indian friend whether he could speak Urdu, to which he said he could only speak hindu. Then Wheeler-sensei said, "How do you say 'I hate those chinese bastards' in hindu?" To which I laughed and everyone else did too. biggrin So it was good, clean fun. wink

(the smile i'm still trying to get right, though i also need to perfect the 'your comments are beneath me' smile) though i don't really need them. Not many people pay attention to me in school. which is alright because i don't pay attention to them.

You get embarrassed when people ask you to speak in a completely diffrent languge in a public area, especially one that sounds nothing like English.
So because they noes they cant copxor you they just go ''osdhfd;fogij;fdguidfg'' and not seem like they tried.
