Damshe had been swimming for out for a few yards when the red-haired otter suddenly surfaced right in front of him. It was just as well because he had already lost his bearings in the cloud of bubbly water. The otter chattered at him in that dialect that only otters really seemed to know and gestured at the evergrowing cloud of bubbles. Although Damshe could not understand what she said, he had the gist of the situation.

"Just take it easy there, darlin'" he said calmly. "What the problem seems to be here is an overusage of soap. Where's the soap that you were using?"

Damshe wasn't really sure how to deal with this problem but he at least knew that they should eliminate the possiblity of it getting worse by grabbing whatever soap had spilled before it could spill any further. Beyond that, he had very little idea of how to cope with this.

Wait, on second thought... Maybe he did have a solution. But it would be a little tricky and very scary-looking to the otter. Damshe would run the idea by her after she found the soap. In the meantime, all he could do was tread water.

Speed grabbed the hose, ready to rinse off the jeep, but he yelped when it went out of control and he clung to tightly, being swung about wildly until it landed in the jeep and he let the trigger go. "Awww man, there's water in here! She's gonna kill me!"

Merryweather was situated on another windowsill, smaller than a thimble and her glow barely noticeable (at least she thought so--it was often hard to tell herself), when she heard the cracking of glass. She whirled about and tucked herself closer to the frame.

She narrowed her eyes as the vampire leaped through the window, mouth taut and cheeks puffed out. He reminded her a goblin, careless creatures that would ruin everything in their way--she grinned and pointed her wand at him, "Make it blue!" she whispered, not that she needed to say anything at all.

This could be fun. At least, for her, she thought.

Outside, Rosebud gaped as the otter cleaning the jeep was taken on a wild ride. She wandered closer, frowning when he said someone was going to kill him. That didn't sound right. Deciding perhaps he needed help, she walked up to the jeep. She would have tried to climb up so he could see her (and she him) better but with everything wet, she thought she'd end up falling more than likely.

"Do you need help?" she squeaked--all right so she was still a little shy with the whole meeting people.

As the otter in the jeep began shouting, Opheliac dropped her rake. He seemed to be having some troubles with a hose. Clambering up the side of the jeep, she peered in at him and the puddle of water covering the floor of the vehicle. "Oh my," she murmured. "That's a lot of water. Shall I go fetch sponges?"

Speed blinked as he heard voices and looked up from the seat he was perched on. Smiling, he blushed in embarrassment, "Yea, if you guys could help, it would really save my hide! We need sponges and towels so we can get the water up!" he explained.

The demonic vampire had just located the hat rack and snagged one of the rangers hats when he was struck by something. It was like a sudden WOOSH of air and then he blinked and looked down at his shirt. What had once been an elegant black dress shirt was now...baby blue. He whirled about furiously and looked for the culprit. Alright who did it? Who DARED to mock him?

He started to sniff and paced on the windowsill furiously, but little merryweather was too tiny for him to ferret out. He growled and narrowed his eyes scanning carefully. He thought he caught a faint blue glow on the opposite windowsill and bared his fangs menacingly.

With a snort he leapt back out and tossed his shirt off leaving only his black leather pants and boots on. He climbed up to place the hat on the fake ranger and then grinned tossing down two of the bottles full of chemicals. There was a loud 'BANG' and a small fire started at the base of the broom. Angelus grinned and stepped back to admire his handy work feeling rather proud...he didn't realize if he didn't leave soon he'd be feeling rather...blue.

Take it easy? Yes, yes she ought to relax she supposed, she took a few deep breaths and then nodded and motioned him over before swimming to the almost empty bottle of liquid soap she had been using. The rocks were perfectly clean of course gleaming boulders surrounding the bubbly lake.

"How are we going to fix it? I've been trying to get the bubbles out for a while now...they just keep getting stirred up!" She tried to scoop a few more out flinging them into the dry ground with her tail to demonstrate. Except where she scooped bubbles up and removed them more appeared in their place.

She looked at the hooman nervously, wow he was big, were all hoomans that size? Was that what the ranger looked like? Why would anyone mess with her if she was THAT big!

"Is your hide in danger?" she asked without thinking. She hadn't heard that expression before and it was a bit perplexing. What could a hide do that would land it in trouble? She supposed it was another thing she'd learn when she was older.

With a nod of her head, the pup looked around in search of towels to help. She found a bucket of them away from the ranger's station and managed to pull out two before bringing them back. She was rather short, being a pup and all, so she had to toss them to Speed. Of course, as the area itself was rather slick she began to fall backwards as the towels left her paws.

She wrinkled her nose up as she pushed herself into a sitting position. She hadn't ever minded dirt but mud was a bit squelchy. She felt very un-lady like and at a complete loss for what to do. It wasn't as though she would be much help cleaning now...unless someone was going to adopt her as a cleaning project. Where was Merryweather when she needed her?

Meanwhile the fairy gave a suppressed giggle at the vampire's dislike for his new blue shirt. She waited until he had gone back out the opposite window before flying over to see what he was up to. She doubted it was anything good, he had a look about him. Almost reminded her of Maleficent.

She watched as he threw two bottles down, a fire starting and gasped. What was he trying to do!? She narrowed her eyes, "Oh no you don't!" she muttered, and pointed her wand at the flames turning them into something safer--bubbles. That was much better.

It took her moment to decide what else to do with the fellow. She gave a giggle and wide grin and sent a blue streak at him. She'd meant to make flowers grow in his hair (it wouldn't last for too long) but at that moment she'd caught sight of a mud splattered Rosebud and lost her concentration. As it was the magic had splintered a little and it was poised to paint who or whatever it hit with a blue flower pattern instead. It was hard telling if it would hit the vampire at all. And she watched with anxiety--oh, why hadn't she ever learned to think before she pointed?

"Sure thing!" the angelic female said, smiling back at the male in the jeep. "I'll be right back." Heading over to the pile of supplies, she returned quickly with sponges. A young female was busily throwing towels up at the male in the jeep. She'd become rather muddy herself, and the towels were getting a bit dirty. Dropping her sponges in the jeep, Ophie hopped back down, landing near the little girl. "Need any help?"

"Oh yes," Rosebud replied to the lovely angelic. She gave a smile, "I fell and now I'm all muddy...," she sighed. "I'll only get everything dirty now." She sounded quite disappointed about it, not that she liked cleaning so much as she liked how happy it made the fairies and especially Aurora. She really did want to help and not simply climb trees (although that would be fun).

Ophie nodded; she remembered what it was like to fall down and get all muddy. "I used to have that problem all the time when I was learning to fly. It got to the point where my dad was having me just take off over a shallow spot in the river. Tell you what; lemme run inside and borrow the ranger's shampoo. Then I'll get that hose from the jeep and you can wash off and use a towel and get dry. Sound good?"

She listened and wondered what it was like to fly. She knew Rose didn't fly much, had only really ever learned to hover a bit. And as lovely as wings looked she really didn't think she'd like flying. What would be the point of climbing trees then?

Coming out of her thoughts, she smiled. Well it wasn't a bath but being clean, even mostly, would be a far lot better than her current state. She nodded her head in agreement with the idea. "Mm-hmm!"

"Back in a sec, kiddo," the female said, then headed for the Ranger's station. The window had been broken, although by whom or what Opheliac didn't know. Still, it did make for easy access to the inside of the cabin. Although it'd been a long time since she'd been in here- she hadn't accompanied anybody on a raid since she was little more than a pup- she remembered the layout of the place. The bathroom wasn't too hard to find. Thankfully, the door had been left open (she had problems with knobs). Rummaging amidst the various bottles, bars, and tubes in the shower stall, she finally found what she was looking for. She didn't care about the shampoo's ability to moisturize, but it smelled like oranges and got your fur clean. That was enough. Gripping the soft-sided bottle in her teeth, she carried it back outside, avoiding the bits of broken glass. She set the shampoo bottle down and tugged on the hose. Its end was still in the jeep. "Hey... you in the jeep!" She didn't know his name. She'd have to rectify that in a bit. "I'm gonna take the hose down now. Last thing you need in there's a hose!" A quick yank brought it to the ground and she nosed it over to the pup. "Know how to use this stuff, little one?"
PostPosted: Fri Nov 12, 2010 9:42 pm

As a pup she often got dirty and while the fairies had a very different method of cleaning her off, Aurora had used soap and shampoo on her before. Rosebud was quite good at working it up into a lather until she was one big soapy foamy mess.

"I can use shampoo," she told the angelic. She hadn't seen a hose before though apparently it squirted water so it might be fun. Although if the larger male had such trouble she was sure it would fling her around worse.

"Awesome. You look smart enough to have figured it out. Now with the hose- press the lever lightly. It might jump a bit, and if you think it's too strong, just let go." Ophie paused, trying to think if she should mention anything else. "It might be a little chilly, but no chillier than the river is. And... here," she said while searching for an unused towel. "When you're done, dry off with this. Make sure that you aim the hose away from it- I'm not sure how many clean, dry towels we have left."
