Voltaire smiled and nodded back at Caroline, "Hope she was no trouble." He lifted Annjette into his arms after she had gotten up and went up to him to be pick up.
"Thank you very much."

Voltaire grinned at Caroline, and then beamed at Annjette, "That so? That is wonderful to hear. Perhaps one day my duckling will sing for me as she did for you. Well, I shall be off now. See you again soon, Caroline." He nodded his head to Caroline and then went off to his wagon again carrying Annjette in his arms.
Annjette was still blushing when they had left.
