"W-With no offense!" she was quick to add. "Honest to everything that's believable, no offense. I'm just really, really weird."
Wait, no. That wasn't worded right. Though it was totally right at the same time.
"I-I mean, I'm weird with colors. Red colors. Like your red -- b-but with no offense, no offense!" she repeated for emphasis, for the last thing she wanted to do was upset Big Red or make the other blue wolf alienated towards her. "Aaaaah! Por qué no puedo hablar sin cometer un error . . .?" she muttered to herself with a shake of her head, looking apologetic to the pair.
"Sorry, names, right. He knows it already, but I'm Adamantia. I was just trying to see if there were any sightings of my sister - she looks something like me."

Ehrek tilted his head as she spoke, what strange words she spoke! Habla? Hablo? Hablar? Habl-wha? The smaller wolf looked to his alpha for a reaction to the trespasser on the pack lands and what he was going to do. Considering that he was sitting now, suppose immediate, and aggressive, actions weren't in the future. Thus, he relaxed himself, even dared to wag beside his mate.
"Ehrek," he replied.
At least she knew how to apologize, maybe overly so. Surely Deimos wouldn't be too offended, but hey, the big red male was his mate and he loved him for that, among many other things he was traited for. The male nudged the alpha, prompting him for a prompt response.

"Adamantia," the alpha repeated, letting the name roll off of his tongue. It was a strong name, but also a weird one. Seemed quite befitting of this odd female. "A good name; it flows nicely from the tongue." Grinning, he circled her, but it was a friendly gesture, no raised hackles or stiff legs. Simply testing the waters, and searching for more information about her where she had been before this strange meeting.
"I've not seen your sister around here, nor has any of my pack made mention of seeing another wolf. But you are welcome to search for any sign of her on Acropolis lands."

"I suggest you find yourself some shelter if you intend to linger around," Ehrek added with a smile and a wag. A new face to add to the new packmates he has to memorize, amazing. The wolf smiled inward as he looked to his mate before perking his ears.
"Oh! You may wanna inform the pack that there is a rogue wolf here. You know, so they don't attack her or scare her off. Wouldn't exactly be hospitable now would it?"
Then again, they were wolves. Rogue wolves in a claimed territory was never a good thing and often times they would be scared off or attack. Adamantia meant no harm to them, but no one else new that.

(( SO sorry for the slow reply! I should be better about it now since school's out for the summer. ))
"Oh, it rolls nicely you say? I'm deeply flattered, really, truly, absolutely," blabbed the she-wolf excitedly, clutching onto the alpha's good will as if she needed a lifeline. "And I don't mean to impede on the pack life, honestly, so I'll make this a nice quick search and be on my merry way like I never stopped to stare at how big and red you are."
. . .
"Like I'm doing right now. Which I'm going to stop, really, it's just . . . Never saw so much red before. You got to understand, sir, it's not normal for me . . . Used to blues and greens and whites and grays and browns and sometimes purples - but mostly blues. Never reds or yellows or oranges and what have you. Good ol' colors of fire. Old pack didn't really like fire. I'm babbling again." Adamantia tilted her ears back apologetically. "You know what gets me shut up? A nice long tour. All the walking, maybe I'll lose the energy to talk so much. You've got a lovely place here, you two do indeed!"

Deimos chuckled, intrigued by this female. She was...adorable somehow, between her mannerisms and speech. True, she didn't shut up, but sometimes the alpha liked noise. Ehrek tended to be quiet more often then not, but in their relationship, words were an added bonus.
But...her words he could get used to.
An odd and outlandish thought struck him, making him pause. He almost said something to Ehrek, but decided to wait, letting the thought germinate. There would be a good time to bring it up, but not now.
Turning, he looked over his shoulder. "A tour we can do. Follow us."
With that, he started trotting away, disappearing briefly behind the thick ferns.

The beta gave a chuckle, this female was very amusing and her dialect was that of a young wolf. She did appear young, yet very spirited. Certainly, Adamantia wouldn't cause any problems with the pack. If it was blue she preferred, he could escort her about. Chuckling to himself, if red was growing on her, then Deimos could. He mused.
"Yeah, he does that to ya-"
Ehrek caught a glance from his Alpha. Was he going to say something? The young wolf's ear cocked out of curiosity with a quizzical murr. Whatever it was, suppose it can wait until later.
"Right, right, come on, Adamantia, we can show you around."

"Great, awesome, perfect, excellent!"
Ah, right, no more babbling. Not even five seconds into this little tour! A breath, Addy, it isn't like these two will eat you, she told herself, waiting for Ehrek to stand and move before following after him and the alpha. The look between them wasn't missed, but it wasn't, well, suspicious or anything. Right?
Maybe they were telekinetic? Was that the word for reading each other's minds? Or . . . no, it was that other one. Tele . . . Tele . . . Telempathy? Telelement? Television?
Adamantia snorted. Now that last one was just stupid. What kind of word was "television"? What, some sort of super vision? Psh.
And then the wolf staggered a bit, for she had strayed off the path and nearly walked headlong into one of the many pine trees. Hastily the blue she-wolf trotted back behind the pair, hoping they hadn't noticed her wandering self.
But she was doing better! Not another word had popped out of her mouth for . . . a minute.

Deimos loped at an easy pace through the forest, passing the trees without a care. Afterall, they had all seen trees of some sort throughout their lives, and these ones were no different than any others, unless she had never seen pine needles.
The female was oddly silent, and he wondered if she was going out of her way to...impress them, maybe? Or to make them think she wasn't a little left of center. Which he could already tell she was, but it wasn't in a bad way.
Being an oddity could have its benefits.
When they broke from the trees, the open plain before them was filled with clouds. The elevation here was high enough for them to be run through on days like this, when they were cottony and held traces of moisture. To their left, the north, mountains loomed in the distance. He wanted to go to them some day, to taste the crisp, frigid air in his lungs.
To their right, the south, the drop off off the plateau couldn't be seen, but he knew it was there. Empty air, easily run off when galloping through these clouds. A forest of mystery to them lay hundreds of feet below, although two of the young ones, Phrixos' get, had chanced an exploration down there.
Ahead of them, you could just barely see the trees on the other side of the small open plain, with the mighty river just beyond the tree line.
"What you see now is the heart of the packlands, this plain."

The silence of the walk but the subtle crunch and snaps of the pine needles beneath their paws. The female wasn't talking. Deimos was tall and strong as ever. And he was thinking about why it was silent. Someone should break the silence, he thought, otherwise it would be a rather boring tour...
Just as he was about to open his maw to speak, he quickly rethought and thought he had nothing really worth mentioning so the gesture was turned into a rather fake yawn.
Doh! The beta looked to the female. Seems that there was no response. Looking toward his mate, not another, still looking straight ahead. He smiles, admiring his mate. Appears that when he was out of the den, around others, he was the tall, strong, proud alpha that everyone respected. Deimos must have had to grow up strong and done many things to earn the respect of his peers. The stories that he holds... one day he'll hear them.
As they entered the plains, he smiled at the open expanse.
"This is one of the best spots to relax, you can sprawl out like so-" The blue wolf chuckled as he trotted a ways away before flopping to his side to sprawl among the grass. "And let nature just take away yer stress. Always good to unwhine!"

Adamantia nodded and took one look about the area that spread about them. One good look. One good looooooong look.
"Plain is . . . plainy alright," she commented, forgetting her self-imposed silence. "Very plain. Too plain." An idea sparked in her eyes. The blue wolf turned and jogged back up to the area she had been found by the pair. Not quite the incline she wished for, but it would do!
She sucked in a breath, then let out a happy bark as she began to gallop down the small hill down to the plains, zooming past Ehrek and Deimos with a lolling tongue. Aah! To feel the wind on her face, the soft ground beneath her paws, the impulsiveness of a puppy -
- and the soft ground suddenly on her face and the wind on her butt. And her sides. Or maybe ground. They intermingled and took turns as she tumbled - an unseen obstruction had sent her tumbling into a hot blue mess not very far from where the other blue wolf had sprawled.
At least he did so with dignity. Mythrila huffed and rolled onto her stomach, wincing. "Agh . . . It was a better idea in my head, honest . . ."

Deimos didn't know what to make of her actions at first, watching her with growing curiosity until she went tumbling into a heap, dust and prairie seeds flying every which way from her impact. Then he simply blinked, trying to swallow his laughter.
Liked this female indeed.
Striding over to her, he nudged her shoulder with his muzzle, picking off a stray piece of long grass from her head with his teeth.
"The sun is setting. We can explore more tomorrow. Tonight, you will meet my pack and feast with us."
((Let's wrap this up and continue the next one a little bit farther along, shall we?))

The sound of something was closing in on him. Picking up his head, he looked around as something just blurred past him. From just his peripheral was the blue fur of what he could only assume the only other of the three that had it; Adamantia.
"Well, if you were going to do that, you could at least have let me known!" Ehrek laughed nearby. "I would have joined you." He giggled, sticking his tongue out as if teasing.
Deimos came over with the intent to introduce her to the pack. The indication of that there would be more time to be around the two of them tomorrow made him smile more. More time with his mate and more time with a potentially new friend.
Nodding, Ehrek nuzzled up against the female to entice her to pick herself up. "You have to meet everyone. They're all very nice and welcoming."
Turning to his mate, "She doesn't have a place to stay for the night, so why not with us?"

The primary reason she did not alert either of them? "Well it sounded stupid in my head, and stupider when I tried it . . ." Not that Mythrila regretted it - more like regretted that it didn't fit her needs of "fun". Still, she got the pair laughing, and for once laughing at her was a good sign!
A better sign was the invitation for food and shelter. Her eyes lit up at the prospect of not being alone for a night and actually having warm food to eat. Hunting was not always fruitful for the free-lancing she-wolf. Topping the night off was the idea of spending the night being sandwiched between not only two males, but two males of importance.
Now if only they had been single. Siiiiigh.
Ehrek didn't have to entice her to get up for long, for the general idea of having something to look forward to had Mythrila up and ready to move in spite of her possible bruising. "Lead the way, O might leaders!" she woofed happily.
((A fin for me then~))
