"Rule number one... PERSONAL. SPACE." with that, Para pushed the boy away, going back into her civilian form and yanking a ruler out of her bag.
"See this? THIS is for how far you are to remain away from me at all given times. If I give you permission other wise, I'll let you know at that time." she held the ruler up from her forehead to make him stand that far back from it.
"Second, if we're doing this, we're taking it seriously AND we need to find new recruits... AND it needs to be sooner than later. Alright?"

Schee whined as he was pushed away, and while Para measured out the distance he let himself shift back into his own civilian clothes. His typically blinding ones, of course. He quickly took to pacing in a circle around Heather, making sure to keep the required distance away from her.
"Seriously, TOTALLY! I want to be serious about this, I want to have a successful team and steal starseeds and do good. New recruits? Totally! A team has to have members to be....well...a team!"
Here he stopped his pacing and heaved a bit of a sigh. A somewhat tired one at that.
"We'll do great."

"Of course we will. You have me." Heather's tone was so matter of fact, there was no misunderstanding that she was serious.
Narcissism knows no bounds.
"Anyways, I guess it's good to have you back then. And some OTHER time, not now, we'll have to get together to discuss some issues. Alright?"

Demy shot her a worried look. Issues, he'd talked about enough issues in the time since he had woken up and none of them had been good. Heather didn't have more bad issues to talk about...did she?

"Yes, issues. Pressing issues. You know. Like who we should even consider recruiting. How we should go about with our star seed extraction procedures. Team rules and regulations if you may even. You know." she tilted her head, furrowing her brow at him.
"Issues."
Really, it wasn't rocket science.

He tilted his own head, grinning at her a moment before letting it fade.
"Can I uh...tell you one more thing?"
He looked....serious.

Heather over-dramatically groaned at Demetri's request, "Fiiiiine." she snarked. "If you have to. I do have to get home sometime you know. I still need to shower and study."
At least she didn't tell him to go pound sand.

He hesitated a moment, Heather's dramatics seemingly throwing him off for once. It seemed like he might clam up and keep this final issue a secret for now...
But Demetri shook it off, and walked up beside Heather (so much for personal space).
"It's...better if...here, just here."
Before she could protest he had shoved a piece of well-worn paper into her hands and backed off. The paper had seen better days, the wear obvious on it. It almost seemed like....had it been carried around in his pocket for days?
The paper was a small clipping from a newspaper. An obituary, from first glance of it. A second glance would single out two important names. Renee Wright, the deceased, and among the survivors? A child named Demetri Wright.
Demy himself had looked away, those acid eyes anywhere but on the clipping Heather was looking over.

"Personal sp-" she began before feeling the paper in her hands. She interrupted herself, looking down at it.
She towards the boy, then back to the paper, then back to him. "Demy I..."
Without another word, she wrapped her arms around him.
"Alright, glowworm. You don't need to explain. I'm not going anywhere... I'll be around. I promise."

Demy leaned into the hug, quickly returning it. Positive attention was something he absolutely craved and though the circumstances of the hug were less than happy he could still appreciate the hug itself.
"Thanks...."
He took back the paper, folding it and stuffing it back into his pocket where it'd stay for who knew how many more days...or weeks. He'd get past this eventually. Or so he kept telling himself.
"So um..."
Demy took a few steps back. Despite really needing more hugs, he still wanted to respect Heather's personal space rule. At least a -bit-. It wouldn't do well to piss of his lieutenant so quickly.

Heather yanked him back in with her arm around his shoulders. "I said personal space rule unless otherwise given permission, alright? We're good. Just for now though. So c'mon. Why don't you come to my place for a bit, you can hang there while I get caught up on my studies." she was genuinely making an attempt at niceties. While she wouldn't completely derail her life for his crisis, she could, at least, make a couple of modifications for now.
"Sound good?"

"Sounds great!"
The typical ear to ear grin slowly made it's way back onto Demy's face, and it only took a matter of moments on the walk towards Heather's house before he was babbling on happily again.
"Heather my new weapon is so awesome! It's a real guitar this time! And I think it has some kinda magic or something because I touched the top of it and it zapped me and hurt like hell but maaaan it's SO COOL."

"Heh. Good to hear." inwardly she was shaking her head, realizing the extent of what she had just got herself into. Mixed with the realization of the pain that Demy was going through, it was a lot to take in.
She listened to the boy ramble as they made their way to her house. He seemed excited with his recent ongoings and, well, there was his entire being back from a coma thing, which was pretty amazing in and of it's own (not that she would ever admit).
There was going to be a lot of work to be done, and keeping Scheelite in tow was going to be difficult. To say the least. The boy was obviously lacking in any real form of ability to dole out orders, and to be taken seriously.
No matter.
That could be dealt with later.
