Sakn willingly followed Kiran around the corner, though his stomach was nervous. So far, his experiences with alleyways in the city had been less then pleasureable. But this was happened to be less of a dead end, and even though it was narrow, it was not a 'wrong choice' in Sakngea's head. The redhead glanced over his shoulder, and while he was glad to see their sudden left had cut down the mob force considerably, it was not completely gone. A couple angry men were following the two boys down the alley, and they didn't look like the kind that just wanted to give the boys a good verbal punishment.
Sakn glanced at Kiran, then forward, down to the end of the street. At first he considered that they could run to that end and fade into the crowd, but as he continued to run alongside the boy, he became aware of the people standing near the main road. The people watching them...waiting.
It was a trap, or so it would seem, and the redhead wasn't sure he was apt to fight much at the moment. It was most definitely a running day. But unless they found a way around these guys, it would look like getting into a brawl was the only option they ha---
"THERE!" Sakn cried out, pointing to a pile of empty crates that were stacked on the side of the street. Perfect to climb up, if one wasn't too heavy, and with easy access to the edge of the roof above. The young man quickly made his way up the crates as the angry men crowded down the street, and then scurried onto the roof before waiting for Kiran to join him.
Hopefully the men would attempt to climb the boxes and they would collapse, for while him and Kiran were light enough, the fisherboy was certain those bulky men would collapse the pile the moment they started to climb up.
Hopefully. Either way the young man quickly made it a point to move away from the edge of the roof. And when Kiran clambered up and there was the sound of breaking boxes and angry shouts below, the redhead couldn't help but laugh.
And after a moment of laughter, Sakn offered Kiran a hand, "Tha'," he started, "wus 'mazin' work, m'friend."
He then pulled out his beltpurse and shook it, loving the sound of coins jangling inside. "Y'get off wit' any d'goods. eh?"

Kiran thought the alleyway was the best way to escape the mob. After all, it seemed like the best route to shoot through the other end and disappear into the crowd. But apparently, they weren't the only ones thinking of that escape plan. He almost groaned when he saw the group waiting for them at the other end. He should have thought of a more clever escape plan! Of course, the mob of angry people weren't quick enough to keep up with the two of them. They were young while the mob was made up mostly of adults, and many of them of the bulky variety.
It felt like a blessing when Sakn called his attention to the crates. Kiran had already been looking for another way out of the alley. Sakn made his way up the crates and onto the roof. Kiran was right behind, but so was the mob.
A man snatched at him, but Kiran danced out of his reach. He leaped up on top of the crates and jumped to grab the edge of the roof. Hauling himself onto the roof, Kiran got his legs up out of the way in just in time as the man lunged at grab him. Missing, the man crashed onto the crates, successfully smashes them to pieces. Kiran grinned. Now the mob definitely wouldn't be catching them.
"Amazing work yourself," Kiran agreed with a laugh. Taking out his own belt purse, he happily noted the hefty weight to it. He opened it up and took a look at the winnings that he had snatched. "Oh, look!" He pulled out a gold necklace and held it up to his neck. "Does it suit me?"

Sakn was grinning ear to ear as he sifted through his own winnings. Mainly coins, though he did find a handsome ring and a silver bracelet that seemed to flow like liquid as he lifted it from the bag. They had gotten off well, most definitely. The redhead peeled his eyes from his own bag when Kiran lifted the necklace up, and laughed loudly at his question; eyes crinkling and sparkling with left-over adrenaline and all-around good feeling.
The young man then tilted back on one foot and stroked his chin, chuckling as he pretended to really think Kiran's question over, then replied, "Oh yes, yes it dus. Kinda makes me jealous, jussa wee bit, though," there was a smile in his voice and on his lips, and then the young man pulled out a pair of pretty pearl earrings. Now while the fisherboy was no jeweler, and couldn't tell high-grade gold from not, he could tell a fine pearl when he saw one. The pair before him was handsome, though slightly misshapen. The redhead reached out and dangled them in front of Kiran's fins playfully.
"Perfect," he teased, before pulling back and looking the earrings over. They were very pretty, with silver wire holding the pearls in place, and far to feminine for his mother...or any woman Sakn knew. Sure, he could sell them off, but...
"Hey, y'want these?" the redhead mused, holding the jewelry out to Kiran, "I dun' got no use fur'm," it wasn't very often Sakn willing offered up something he could hawk off on someone else, but the young boy had entertained him and even pulled a scam with him; along with saving his a** twice. Sakn figured he owed the boy something, and from his finer clothing he surely knew someone who would like a pair of fine pearl earrings.
It was like a thanks for the exciting afternoon.

Kiran laughed at the comment as he placed the necklace back into his belt purse. He sifted through the rest of his winnings to see he nabbed anything else of interest. Most of it was merely coins, but there were a few rings as well. Some were simple bands with nothing very unique about them. But there were two or three with jewels or detailed bands. Those might be worth something. He didn't know much about jewelry even if he wore a few earrings and neck bands or beaded strands. What he wore wasn't anything that was high priced.
Kiran looked over the earrings that Sakn had pulled out. They were quite nice, though not his style. He certainly couldn't show them to his mother, even if she would like them. She would probably assume, correctly, that he got them through unconventional manners and make him return them to their rightful owner. He sighed at that thought. This was his most successful scam to date, and he didn't want it ruined by his mother.
"My sister might like them," Kiran said. His sister didn't approve of his scams, but she, at least, didn't make him return things. She might not even question how he got the earrings, unlike his mother.
"We could swap," he suggested. "If there's anything in my pot that you want." Kiran held his belt purse out for Sakn to look through. He didn't mind if Sakn took anything. He wouldn't have been able to pull off such a scam, or even thought of it, without Sakn.

Sakn's smile never faded as he dropped the earrings into Kiran's hand. It was a good day today, he had earned quiet a fair bit of money today, and perhaps a new friend as well. Kiran seemed lively enough, and social as well. Sakn felt comfortable around the young man, and wouldn't mind seeing him again. Especially if every time was just as exciting as this one.
Well, maybe not every time.
The redhead leaned in politely when Kiran offered his purse, glancing at the other boys winnings before shaking his head and stepping back. "Naw, I dun' see nuthin' that catches m'fancy," in reality, there were quiet a few things he saw in that purse that caught his eye, but Sakn felt a debt was owed to the sly character before him. Kiran had helped him out of a pickle and helped him pull of a scam easier then anyone else, so he figured the blue-haired boy deserved all that he nabbed when they booked it.
"Buh how 'bout this," he started, clasping a hand on his fellow scam artist's shoulder, "In exchange fur dem earrin's," his eyes glinted playfully and he finished, "we must make'a deal t'meet again. Y'da most interestin' person I met inna while. Can't let oppurtunity pass me by, naw can I?"
Sakn smiled widely at Kiran then, before glancing at the sky. At the pleasant setting sun. What a nice sunset--sunset?
The redheads face crumpled, his stomach dropped and he looked at the younger man and gave him an awkward apologetic look before saying hurriedly, "Lissin, I gotta book it now, though. M'ma's gunna kill me iffin I'm not home fur dinner. Le's meet on the docks, three days frum now. An' no backin' out!"
The redhead grinned once again as he finished speaking, before giving Kiran a final friendly clap on the shoulder and climbing down from the roof like the hounds of hell were after him.
His mother was going to kill him, but at least he had a fun day before she did, right?
