Jack wandered languishly into the voting polling room, his tail swaying back and forth - a rare occasion where he was by himself. He was here for something simple - a mission to make a student council out of who had come out, and had the balls to lay it all on the table for the majority.

Grabbing a sheet, he whipped out his trusty pen - one that he had written many songs down with since now, he checked down his opinions, before slipping his ballet neatly in the box, feeling pretty good about himself. It was all just a waiting game now, to see who had taken favours in the ranking and body of the students.

Alcyone looked around curiously wondering why she was doing this. Oh yeah, doing her 'civic duty' as a student. She had scribbled everything down on a piece of paper, her script-like handwriting was distinctive and clear as she put the paper in the envelope and sealed it. The water demon had listened to everybody's speeches and her choices were clear. There were a few that definitely appealed to her and some that definitely did not... And there were the ones that she wasn't sure about though she tried to go with her gut feeling. She hated thinking too much and then changing her mind in the end. Alcyone had considered running herself but she wanted to get a feel of the school before jumping into any huge commitments. She had met a lot of new students in the past few weeks and she was surprised to see that she recognized a lot of the students that were running for council.

Voting didn't seem that significant to Alcyone though she knew that it was good that she was at least paying attention. Someday these positions might actually be able to make a difference in the school and Alcyone didn't want idiots handling those decisions. Walking towards the booth, Alcyone slipped her votes into the ballot box and went back to her dorm contemplating on a new adventure.

She wasn't sure why she was voting, well besides Rain, zombie power to the gr- well where ever they end up after climbing back out of a grave. Sporting all her buttons she marched into the booth. Earlier in the week it seemed clear what all her votes would be and for the most part they were, however anyone walking near the booth Samantha was in would hear the sound of a pen writing, crossing out, re-writing, and crossing a vote out yet again. Apparently someone was having trouble making up her mind.

A minute later she slipped out the booth shoulders slumped with a look that was between begging forgiveness and wondering if she had doomed them all.

It was his first time voting and he moved up to grab a makeshift ballot and looked over the listed options. There had been little hesitation in circling the names of those he knew. His friends were close to him and he was sure that if they had a good judge of character to pick him as their friend, they were sure to treat everyone else just a kindly as they had him. He also had a duty to keep a CERTAIN EVIL SOMEONE from winning lest he should take advantage of his dear friend. He was not about to place villains in a seat of power to only create more diabolical plots against his tender, sewn-up lady-friend.

But there were names he didn't know, and this is where he was, half kneeling on the table with his tail up in the air and face set in a frown of concentration. He had only a vague recollection of the speeches from before, but the only thing that had lasted was the desperate urge to get his hands on some chocolate-covered lilacs. With what little he could remember, and maybe some guilty 'Eeny-meeny-miny-moeing', he made his decision and slipped the his votes into the sloppy-decorated mailbox. It was final, and he walked off, wondering if he had made the right choice. Well, it wasn't like he was in the student council. He just hoped his friends got in and, if they did, they could balance out all the other people out. Right?

Calder wasn't very good when it came to politics.

Tybalt was a little unsure of who all to vote for. He had no idea who half of the people who were competing even were! And to top it off, he fell asleep during their speeches... Which really didn't help his current situation.

He stood there a moment; gritting his teeth together out of frustration, when it suddenly occurred to him. It didn't really matter who he voted for. Seriously why was he all that concerned? When all else failed, he could vote for the ones that would bring about the lolz. Yes! This sounded like a plan! A great plan! Some of these characters, from what he had seen, would provide quite an interesting show, and he was all for it!

Grinning; the black dog carefully folded the ballet and shoved it into the box. Suddenly far more interested in this whole student council thing than he was a few moments ago.

This was going to be interesting. Quite interesting indeed.

Standing at the booth, Mei looked over who to vote for. None of these people were familiar to her, so its not like she was going to vote for a friend or anything. Perhaps if she had actually listened to the speeches, rather than reading her dirty magazines through out the whole ceremony, she would have had an easier time choosing from the contestants. Scratching her head with slight irritation, she decided to do what was right. And what was right to her, was to vote for whatever name that came to mind. Yes. At random was best, at least this way she wasn't being biased.

Voting day now, was it?...

Truthfully, Elaphe didn't approve of a single name on his ballot, leering at them all with the same disgruntled incredulity for a very long time. Brutes and idiots, the whole lot! ... But he couldn't really submit a slip of nothing but delicately scribbled profanity in the end and then, with a defeated sigh, the nagging thing called "duty" won out. He anxiously deliberated over each position with furrowed brows and a frown for the ages, chewing his pencil nib while his ponytail drummed its claws on one shoulder.

Chances were that none of them would do anything useful, he told himself, so really, why did it matter? Sure, some of the speeches had bordered on compelling and maybe even earnest, but he would believe things when he saw them, jack dammit.

Choking down all the doubt and worry he'd managed to muddle up over the past 60 seconds, he deposited the slip, put on his cockiest sneer, slumped into an appropriately careless posture, and sauntered off, clearly too cool to be there any longer.

Ever the procrastinator, Morrigan finally got around to the voting booth. She really didn't care about who was running or who to vote for. She had no interest at all in the student body or the school having any kind of leadership or structure. She was all about the chaos and that definitely reflected in her choices.

She noted the boys first and separated the hot ones from the not so hot ones. Really, if there was going to be students leading them or whatever, they should at least be good looking, right? Once she separated the hots from the nots, she considered their species and whatever she knew about them. Some creatures just did not need to have any deciding power and she had no problems judging them based on species. This equality bs going around was just that, bullshit!

After a few minutes, she realized how boring this really was and just scribbled the first thing that came to mind on the piece of paper before stuffing it into the box. Who cared who the student council was? She'd probably ignore them anyway.

Rules were made to be broken.

[Not sure if this belated entry will be counted, but I'm giving this a shot. XD]

Truth be told, Deacon had forgotten about voting until now. Likely because he simply didn't care when it came right down to it... As he figured, the popular kids would be the ones to win anyway. He wasn't part of a particular cliche himself, leaving him to fall into the 'who gives a jack' standing.

Alas... Here he was at the last possible moment. By some miracle he believed the votes hadn't yet been counted, so perhaps he had time.

It was unfortunate, the fact that he'd only really paid attention to one speech... Otherwise he'd been zoning out or dozing off. In the end, most of his votes went toward females. Not a surprise to those that might know him even in the slightest bit.

Folding up the ballot, he stuffed it into the box on his way out. Now, he couldn't help but wonder if anyone he voted for would end up on the council.

(OOC - Like Hitsu, I am also giving this a shot, though not sure if it counts!)

It wasn't that he had forgotten about voting so much as... Morton had simply taken his sweet time getting there. In all honesty, he wasn't all too fussed about the elections; not because he hadn't heard the speeches, mind you, because he had. Some of them had been ahh... interesting, to say the least. He'd gone because he simply hadn't had anything better to do (which was, all in all, sad, really), expecting to be bored out of his mind, and yet he'd found himself rather entertained by the whole thing.

Despite that, he didn't really thing these elections were that much of a big deal. Better late than never, he pondered as he snatched one of the papers and eyed the choices. It took him a while to recall speeches and link them to the given names, but he after a while, the Gargoyle ticked off his choices, folded the paper and dropped it into the upturned mailbox.

Granted he wasn't fussed about it, but he was still rather curious in knowing what the results would be - he idly wondered if anyone he'd voted for would end up picked. Or rather... he wondered about it for a whole of two minutes before clapping his hands once and deciding it was a perfect time to go climb up to the roof and laze about some more!
