Annakai was drawn to commotion, probably something to do with her nightly job at the bar. She thrived on the wild atmosphere it seemed to help her pull herself out of her usual dismal mood. She pulled out a flask and took a quick sip of brandy before walking over to the group. She eyed Elizabeth a moment and then made a soft tsking sound before glancing at the human.

"Well...I can talk human..." Which was quite a bold faced lie because she had no clue how to speak human, but if she could make a drunken bobcat pay his tab then getting a human to open a window would be a piece of cake.

Besides Elizabeth was Drakes mother and Anna was head over heels madly in love with Drake. Surely if she helped Elizabeth out then word of her...goodness would make it's way to Drake. Oh Drake he was so handsome so charming...and he could probably drink her under the counter. Then under the counter they could-Oh...Oh yes talk to the human!

She tipped her head to the other otters and then boldly walks right over to the human. She stopped infront of him and quickly sat up onto her hand legs and motioned behind her.
"Hello! Your awfully big arent you? Look I know this seems forward, but I don't suppose I could trouble you to open that window a bit more? I'd be very appreciative and even buy you a drink!" ...Granted to the human it probably looked like wild gesturing and lots of chatters and squeaks.

Why she didn't say she could probably open the door, it seemed the wrong time. And the human did want to help. It was too bad she didn't have telepathy--though for all she knew it'd end up sounding like a bunch of ottery squeaks in a human's mind if she did.

"Hum." She stared at the mini who seemed to have a very negative view of humans, not that it was all unwarranted. "He wants to help, you know, not hurt us."

She became quiet when another otter approached the group, trying to take the time to get an idea of her. However the other otter seemed to launch right into things and she always found it harder to use her intuition when the otter or predator she was looking at was being right loud. It was rather entertaining though. The human was going to think he'd stumbled on insane otters. It was a good thing none of them had any weapons, insane weapon-wielding otters would be very hard to think of needing help. (At least help that didn't involve a straight-jacket or prison.)

Moonglow shook her head at the demonic male. "Not all of them are dangerous, I think. I don't think a dangerous one could get onto the reserve. And if he was dangerous, he'd already have done something. From what I can tell, they're not terribly clever. I mean, how many times has an otter stolen the Ranger's jeep, clothing, personal possessions, or food? Still, he might be useful." She watched as a newcomer arrived, one of the clothes-wearers with the long hair. She recognized her as the girlwho worked at the pie shop/bar thing she'd visited occasionally, but wasn't sure of her name. And she'd had no idea that she could speak human! Curious, the sky-pelted elder listened.

It didn't sound a thing like human, but Moonglow held her tongue. She furrowed her brow and watched the besweatered female try to speak to the man. If this was human, it sounded a lot like otter. Still, she didn't want to be rude. "Don't take it personally if he doesn't understand you, Miss," she said. "I'm not sure they're too intelligent as a race. You might need to be a bit more clear with the gestures." That didn't sound too insulting to the girl, did it?

Damshe watched with intrigue as more otters gathered around the window. Quite a strange crowd was gathering at the Station, but Damshe had just singled out the strangest one. Or rather, she had singled herself out.

One of the newcomers had strutted over to him, sat down on her hind legs, and begun chattering at him in a series of unintelligible squeaks while gesturing back towards the window. Amused by this, Damshe crouched so that he could stare her in the eyes.

"Now, isn't that just cute?" he chuckled. "What's the matter there, sweetheart? Need me to help your friend out there?"

Of course, he didn't really know if that was the otter's message, but it was as close of a request as he was probably going to get. Looked like he'd be able to lend a hand after all. But how to go about it?

Damshe cautiously held out one hand to the otter, as he had seen people do with other animals in an attempt to gain their trust. It probably wasn't necessary, but he didn't want to alarm the critter. Maybe if this one trusted him, the others would follow suit and allow him to assist their comrade.

Elizabeth had the good graces to give everyone a dry, almost annoyed look when they started making suggestions, especially about pulling herself in a different direction, like she hadn't already thought of that. Why is it more and more seemed to show up to witness her embarrassment?! The browned haired female looked a bit familiar, but right now that wasn't her concern.

When they started suggesting the human help, she started tensing a bit when she looked over at him, but she forced herself to relax. She would only ever allow two humans to come close to touching her, her own human caretaker and the Ranger. But she knew Hector would become worried about her being gone for so long and she wanted out of this window.

She glanced back at Moonglow and sighed with a nod at least the otter was giving her a graceful excuse for communication failure.
"Well maybe this one just doesn't speak english...maybe the humans have different dialects like us." That sounded reasonable right? Still she knew the universal language! Everyone understood a good drink!

She smiled as the human held his hand out and quickly she moved forward. She glanced back at the others feeling rather proud of herself. "See I'll just train him to open the window by giving him a reward!" She reached into her hoodie and felt around before pulling out a bottle. She quickly took the humans hand in her paws and pressed the bottle against his palm. It was a bit small for the human but really what did he expect? With that she pointed at the window.
"You have a nice drink now and then come over here and help get King Elizabeth unstuck from that window, do you understand? Good human, come on!" She tugged his hand a bit and pointed at the window again.

Well, this was unexpected. The otter that had been attempting communication with Damshe had just pressed a small bottle into his hand and pointed at the window. Perhaps she really was asking for help. But what was the bottle for?

Turning it over in his hand, Damshe peered at it for a moment before determining that it was probably a drink of sorts. The otter had pointed towards the window when she had handed it to him. Was he supposed to give it to the other otter wedged in the window?

"Well, whatever," Damshe said with a shrug. "Not sure what good this will do, but if it fails I could always just open the window."

This being said, Damshe carefully stepped over the small group and held the bottle out to the prisoner of the window. As he did, he caught a whiff of something.

"Huh, that's funny..." he thought. "I could've sworn I just smelled chocolate cake."

Normally, she was more gracious than this, but as she watched the human attempt to hand off the alcohol to the otter in the window, Moonglow had to titter. What kind of a human gave away a good drink? "It seems he's not easily trainable... Perhaps you should be a bit more insistent," she said calmly. If all else failed, she could go up there herself. She was a good deal larger than the daring female; perhaps she could drag him up to the window and make the message more clear.

Even Selene found that to be a rather silly idea. Why would they want to give the otter something to drink? Unless it was to make her pass out so they could yank her out forcibly--but that was a rather silly idea, too. She wondered if rattling the window would do any good, perhaps he'd get the hint to open it then.

She narrowed her eyes, mind pressing in a gentle tapping against the window pane that made the glass seem to rattle. She was afraid to do anymore than that. For all she knew, it would end up cutting the female in half--that wouldn't be any good. And for that reason, she decided not to mention that she'd done anything.

Anna could only stare, didn't humans love liquor? Why was he trying to give it to Elizabeth? She huffed and shoved her paws back into her hoodie riffled around until she laid a paw on her flask. She quickly tipped it back for a quick few gulps trying to calm her nerves. She just had to get this human to do the job...and quick if the ranger came back they would all be in a right mess.

"Open the window!" She tried to forcefully command the human, perhaps a fear tactic would work? She motioned with her paws for him to lift the window, open, open, open!

She moved down and then up, down then up, he had to understand her didn't he? She wasn't bobbing up and down for some sort of intricate dance or mating ritual after all.

Lizzy watched everything silently, just wanting out of the window. But when the human approached her and held out the bottle, she glared at him and frowned disapprovingly. Did he not realize her predicament?! She was stuck in a window!

As the brown-haired otter tried to get the man's attention by flailing, Moonglow shook her head. He clearly wasn't going to get it. Stepping carefully forward, she nudged him toward the building, taking the hem of his pants in her mouth and gently tugging, trying to get him closer to the otter in the window. A thought struck her, and she released him for a moment. Sitting down near his foot, she smoothed a patch of dirt, then began to scratch at it with a claw. She worked quickly, drawing a scratchy otter in the window, a stickish human, a happy otter on the ground, and then adding arrows to it to show the human where to go. She worked quickly, so her art wasn't terribly good...

But she figured that it probably made enough sense that the human could interpret it. Nipping again at his ankle, she pointed with a paw to the drawing. "I know you can't understand me, but perhaps you could look at this picture? It should tell you pretty much what to do."

Damshe glanced around at the little group surrounding him. Clearly, they did not approve of his actions, for whatever reason. The otter that had given him the bottle had begun frantically moving her arms up and down. Another otter tugged at his pantleg and sketched a small drawing in the dirt.

Damshe took it in at a glance. Yes, he knew that he was supposed to open the window in some way, shape, or form. But what was the bottle for? Apparently, nothing to do with opening windows or helping. Damshe put it way in his pocket.

Feeling a little flustered from the hubbub, Damshe hurriedly approached the window frame again, and without thinking, put both hands on the frame and tugged.

Unfortunately, he'd applied the wrong amount of force in the wrong location. Instead of opening the window, he'd pulled the frame out, otter and all.

"Hmmmmmmm, oops," he mumbled, staring the stuck otter in the eye.

It wasn't really that big of a deal. He hadn't meant to damage the shack but he could probably pay for that later.

Setting the frame carefully down on the ground, this time he opened the window properly.

"Alright, darlin', you're free to go!"

Jess giggled as the frame and her great-grandmother came loose at once. "Uh oh. I think the Ranger will be upset!" she chuckled. "Althoooooough ... this would be a good time to see what else she has hiding in her hut, here," the otter added curiously, trying to peer through the hole in the wall to see what other goodies they might get to before the Ranger came back.

Suddenly remember family was present, she pulled back again and straightened out her shirt. "Uh. Not that I would do anything so sneaky," she mumbled hastily, walking over to Elizabeth to see if she was all right. "Anything broken, Grandma-ma?"

Elizabeth watched as otters yelled and chittered at the human to tell him to get it right and holding the bottle at her was wrong. Sighing, she just wished the day was over so she could curl up with her clams and sleep and hope this was all just a bad dream.

She had to chuckle at the purple otters drawing, though if that helped convey their message, she didn't think anything else would. But finally, he seemed to get it and came over to her and she prepared herself to jump when he finally pried the window off her.

But the last she expected was for the frame to pop out and she yelped in surprise, now hanging in the window frame. When he looked her in the eye, giving her apologetic look, she glared at him in indignation, growling a little. When he set the frame down and finally opened up the window, she slipped away from the frame and rubbed at her sides, feeling a bit sore, but mostly embarrassed. Looking to her grand-daughter, she smiled in reassurance, "Just a bit sore dear, nothing a swim and a good nights rest will cure."
