Okay i have to share this. I know it has been a while since anyone has posted in here but here it goes. I was painting the club house at one of the places i work at today and a customer came in to pay her rent, or so i thought. well i am not a naturally curious person so i didnt listen to the conversation between the apartment manager and the tenant. But after the young woman left the manager decided to look at my father and i and ask "Did either of you hear that?" When we both said no she proceeded to tell us about what the girl had said. The girl had come in to tell her that she would be late on the rent and....... that there was an entity in her apartment ........ and that the spirit was getting more dangerous daily and how she needed to move out because it was hurting her son and telling him to do things.
I have never EVER heard that used as an excuse to break a lease
but the manager told her there was nothing she could do unless she paid for breaking the lease. after the manager told us that this same girl had been wanting out of lease for a while and was just trying to make excuses.
My father told me after hearing that he wanted to go to the woman's house in a black shirt and white collar and tell her that there was something stirring in her house.
maybe you won't find it as funny as i did but i had to at least try

Yeah, the sub forums of the main AGA are usually really slow going. smile
Isn't a written notice enough in there to end a lease? But yeah, it's interesting what people come up with at time to time. smile
I have a nice moment to share my self. I have two cats and they usually sleep in the bed during the nights. One over the legs and one usually by my side. Some times it's bit frustrating to try to find a small spot to sleep between my fiance and the cats. Little cats take unbelievable amount of space when they sleep in a place where they feel safe, meaning that they'll stretch out to their full length. whee
Recently I've been feeling bit sick and I was feeling really cold last night. It was hard to get sleep because my feet was just blocks of ice and my fiance was still at his computer. Luckily my little cats soon hopped to the bed as well. Another one placed her self into her regular spot over my feet and the another one crawled under the covers and placed her self tightly next to me. It didn't take long before I felt warm enough and fell to sleep. heart During the summer I felt like over heating few times, but I don't mind the extra heating addition anymore. 3nodding

My guess is it's one of three possible scenarios: ~ she so desperate to get out of the lease that she decided to make up this bizarre story in hopes he will either believe her or think her crazy and not want her as a tenant ~or...she really IS crazy and needs some mental help ~or.. her son is the one having some mental issues and she is blaming it on supernatural wackiness when what he really needs is to be seen by a medical professional. Lilygwen Isn't a written notice enough in there to end a lease? But yeah, it's interesting what people come up with at time to time. smile Usually when you sign a lease here it's for a specific amount of time (most often a year). You can request to be released from it but until it has been re-rented to someone new (who signs a new lease to replace yours) you are still responsible for paying rent until the lease is up)

We have those in here too, but mostly the leases are continuous. Of course there are all sorts of regulations and terms about how early you have to announce that you want to end the lease and so on.

I needed to get out of a lease myself a long time ago. It's when I was going to move in with my soon to be husband. It worked out well. I just gave them lots of advance notice and they were able to rent it out pretty quickly. The only inconvenience was having to keep the place in perfect shape so it could be shown at a moments notice. They were supposed to give me a 24 warning before showing it to someone but occasionally they would just knock on the door. (never really early or really late thank goodness). I could have complained but I was more interested in getting it rented. razz But to bring back this to Joy and Awesomeness I've been married to my wonderful hubby now for 14 years. smile

this made my day. so i had to call the Customer Support Center/Repair Center where i shipped my laptop off to because i was emailed say 'theres a problem with ur laptop'. thinking that they might have lost the key that needed replaced that was sent back with it, but wen i found out wat was wrong i was shocked!! the screen was cracked! it was fine wen i sent it out last week!!! now i know it had to have gotten damaged on there way. so they tell me that in order to fix it i would have pay $99 + tax to fix. so being as polite as i could be them, which is hard for anyone really wen dealing with CS but i managed cuz the lady was super nice and very helpful, i explained that everything was fine wen it was shipped off. well the lady put me on hold for abit and wen she came back she said that this time the screen would be repaired for free since it was damaged on the way there but next i would have to pay to replace the screen should something happen like that again. after a 20 min call, and a few questions later, i learn that both the broken key and cracked screen where being fixed and i would soon have it back. the lady was kind enough to explain a few things to me since i know nothing of computer repairs. so at the end of the call i thanked her for being helpful and wished her a good day. that made my day knowing that it was being fixed, and that the lady was kind and helpful.

Camwen But to bring back this to Joy and Awesomeness I've been married to my wonderful hubby now for 14 years. smile Congrats camcam! That's a long time but I hope you have triple the amount ahead of you! This october me and my fiance have been together for 7 years. We haven't kept any hurry to get married because we have made a commitment to each other that we'll stay together as long as possible and 'till death do us part etc. smile That's great to hear! Those kind of situations are always tricky but I'm glad they will fix the screen for free. Some of the couriers are just sloppy with the packages. I had one packet that had footprint in the side of it and it was mashed from that side. Luckily, only thing broken were some dvd plastic coverage and the actual product was intact. I took few pictures of the package and send them to the company with remarks that they might need to have some discussion with their postal service about handling packages. Oh and my own moment of awesome! I'll paint a mental picture of it to you. It's gray and rainy outside. The cold drizzle pounds the windows and metal roof with a steady drumming. The night is softly pulling it's black blanket over the world and inside my home I'm sitting by the fireplace. The crackling, fuzzy fire is spreading drowsy warmth to my veins and my cat is flexing her spotted tummy at my lap purring happily. I have a great magazine at my hand and a cup of hot chocolate in another one. I heart autumn.

gaia_nitemareleft I had a small moment of "yay" today. I was bustling around my vegetable garden trying to get it ready for the winter and so on. When I was rooting out the withered cucumber leaves I discovered two ripe cucumbers underneath the leaves! emotion_bigheart I thought that there wasn't going to be any more of those since it's been so cold fall this year. gaia_angelright
