Alek put his sunglasses back on, dusted himself off and kicked off the binbag that had attached itself to his boot.
"What did you expect? Me, behaving myself and staying out of trouble? HAH!"
He looked back up at the rather tall centaur and sighed whilst he donned his labcoat that he had found somewhere in the on-sight accomidation.
"Oh Bhaltair, you're naked again! Do you still have the disguise? Did it work?"
He laughed as he did up a few of the buttons and checked the nametag.
"Guido Hernadez eh? I hope he dosn't mind if I borrow this..."

Bhaltair rolled his eyes at the comment about his nakedness, his tail flicking. His friend was always talking about how he didn't wear clothes, but what was the point?
"Look, most of my body is covered in hair & the half that's human is only the chest which, last time I checked, is acceptable in society."
He looked down at Alek, the turned his head away, lowering his voice a little.
"& yes I do still have the disguise. But I'm not wearing it."

Aleksander shrugged.
"It's a pretty good disguise though, you have to admit it."
He stepped to the side to look behind Bhaltair, seeing if anyone was watching or listening to them.
"I'd love to stay out here in the cold and chat, but it's been far too long since I've sat down and had a good drink... Oh, I've also got official science business to do too."
He smiled once more whilst looking around.
"So, where's the entrance gotten to?"

"Oh, I apologise. Given your... state, I had completely forgotten such courtesy as an introduction. Name's Guido... Hernandez. I'm here to observe and assist in research at this facility with unlimited space for manouverment. So, yeah, I've basically got permission from top brass to do as I wish in this facility. I heard about your... specialties, and just had to come and take a look for myself." Guido momentarily stopped and scratched his head, his face a facade of coolness, whilst his mind laid somewhat more thoughtful. "It'd be more obvious, if I'd have kept that labcoat... I mean, I've misplaced it. MISPLACED IT." Sure, Guido had orders that allowed him to participate freely in any operation the facility was taking part in, but coordination was still going to be necessary if he was to fully utilise this oppourtunity. Explaining that the coat simply "wasn't his style" was hardly going to cut it.

Seeking the oppourtunity to change the subject, he handed the women the document he had previously used to refer to the head researcher's name. "That should be proof enough of identity and authority." He teisted his neck at an awkward angle to sneak one last glance at the rather bland piece of paper. "Yup... that's it. Should be it. I'm simply a humble researcher, affiliated with Angelus, whose speciality is... natural abnormalities, if you, er, catch my drift. I'm looking for a certain subject in particular..." He stared into the distance for a moment. And then a moment more. Guido had never considered it, but this may be the first oppourtunity he would have to actually meet him. It was a strange feeling, and not an entirely comforting one. But Guido had a feeling in his bones, and his hunches, in life and gambling were usually eerily correct, that this experience would be extrodinary.

"Not a problem, I am pleased to meet you Guido. My name is Angela Porter...head researcher of this place," she told the male. It was at this point that had slipped her glasses back onto her face, pushing them up the bridge of her nose and holding the paper up to look at it. "To do as you please? Surely there is a mis-feed of information, for any new staff members report to me in this facility," she countered, continuing to trail her vibrant eyes over the paper.

Once finished, she looked up over the paper at Guido, then handed the sheet back to him. "Despite my thoughts, everything seems to be in check, so i'm going to have to let you carry out what you wish no matter how much I disagree with it. Although, sometimes you may get requests from me" she next said. She then spun her chair to return to facing her desk, and was about to dismiss Guido before he said that he had a certain subject. "Oh?" she replied, "And who, or rather what, is that certain subject you require?" she asked, now moving to stand after having glanced at a piece of paper. It was report of a centaur, not unlike their own hunter, Bhaltair. It was said that it was around 6ft tall, with jet black fur and hair - and was a female. Angela was planning to find the nearest free hunter and set them out after it, whilst going to prepare the enclosure herself. But she stopped and held her hand on her hip as she asked Guido her question.

Falixus finally came to rest in the thickest part of the forest, the dense trees providing a fair amount of cover. Unfortunately for him, the mist had cleared, and his camoflauge that was made for the early morning fog was now planning to lead him to his demise. Grumbling to himself, the wyvern of sorts now took to the sky himself, hanging just below the cloud layer. His white belly provided him with enough cover against the clouds, so he lingered up here, flying in random lazy shapes across the sky.

His flying skills were not as well developed as the Gryphon, but Falixus eventually caught up with the agile bird. All natural anomalies could understand each other, however the humans could not understand them, and vice versus. Falixus let out a quite murmer as he pulled up to the gryphon, and dipped his head. He had great respect for the bird like creature, and glided silently beside him for a while, before letting out another murmer which said "Greetings Flighted One," in a rather majestic voice.

Guido smiled, allowing a hand to sreep up to the tip of his hat, a slight touch tilting it, so his eyes were unseeable to the woman opposite them. He was an enigma, a status he enjoyed. He saw no qualms in keeping the odd secret... "Ah, nothing so important you need to concern yourself over it. But I have it on good authority that I will find it here." He also took a moment to consider the head scientist's opinion on the document. "Suppose I wouldn't mind taking a couple of orders, as long as you understand I will leave any job I may be occupying if an... oppourtunity falls kindly in my way."

Guido did feel a little guilty. He had walked in on this woman crying, Angela was it? He hoped so. He had never been good with names, and he didn't have his document refer to now either. And now, he had basically undermined her authority. "Sorry to drop this kind of thing on you. I have friends in high places, one of the top researchers in the company, and made a bit of a last minute appointment. I expected you to have been informed before I had arrived. Hopefully admin will get something through to you soon." Guido allowed himself a moment of relaxation. Formality was not in line with his usual attitude, and although he knew he could keep it up, he found it laborious. He sighed, then continued to offer his assistance. "So yeah, any orders, miss?"

Angela now leaned on her hand, formed into a supporting fist that touched against the desk. "Not at all Guido, merely a communication on admin's part, i'm sure." Something about this male made her wary, but with her professionalism on the forefront of her mind, Angela Porter remained calm. "Oh, you might need this back," she told Guido, handing him the form he had given her previously. "I assure it is pleased to meet you, and not to worry. I have advanced through the facility and have been assured that the security of this place means that you probably wouldn't have gotten in if you were not legitimate."

"Hmm...." Angela replied to his question of an order, she glanced back at the sheet about the volatile black centaur. "I have...a task. Look at this," she told him, handing him a second sheet which was the fax she had received. "A roaming black centaur. Highly dangerous to those shorter than it, and those on foot. Apparently this one is unarmed, but it appears to have already taken 3 serviceman's lives. It uses brute force alone. I need someone to capture it whilst I set up an adequate containment chamber for it. Think you can handle it?" Angela asked, removing her lab coat to strap her shotgun to it, then slipping it back on whilst sliding a walkie-talkie and a loop of keys into her pocket.

Whilst listening to his temporary superior, he read through the letter again, having only had the time to scan it for information previously. He read the name Angela Porter over a couple of times, until he was satisfied he'd remember it. The rest of the message was very formal and pristine. It was this that made Guido decide that the person who he had asked to organised this oppourtunity had delegated to a secretary or something, rather show any hint of positive emotion through a personal response. Guido snickered. That was just like her, he thought. However, soon another document reached his hand.

A centaur. How utterly intriguing. Guido knew of their existence sure, but given his background knowledge of the facility and its employees, found it a stroke of luck that there were two in such small distance from each other. "Sure." Guido replied, nonchalantly, checking a pocket inside his waistcoat to insure a syringe filled with specifically designed tranquiliser was intact. Comforted by its existence, he also gave his holstered gun a light tap, although, unlike the needle, he had no intention of using it. "Do you have a map, or perhaps a local guide around though. I'm familiar with the actual building, I mean, I checked up on some floor maps before I got here." He pointed a finger outwards. "But the wilderness outside these walls is alien to me. Some geographical assistance would be a great boon to my mission." He smiled fervently, although he was starting to find the ceaseless need for complicated words tiring.

Bhaltair chuckled softly, running a hand through his hair.
"Oh Alek, still as partial to a drink as ever I see."
He looked around for a moment, making sure that the soldiers weren't coming back before picking Alek up & carrying him bridal style in his arms.
"As for that entrance, shall I show you the way m'dear?"
He began a slow trot away from the accommodation area - since he was going to have to take the long way round. There was a good chance he could sneak his friend in through the entrance any captured creatures were taken.

Angela reached back then, and slid open a heavy drawer. It was messily loaded with several random items that she had used - a rather odd appearance for such a high-up staff member. After a short rummage, Angela fished out a map of the local area, and tossed it to Guido. "Of course. It details the area highly, if you unfold it, it depicts the whole mountainous region, although...you may want this instead," Angela laughed, and then walked over to Guido, took back the map and slapped a GPS system into his hand. "Alot faster," Angela told Guido.

The woman was getting her usual spirit back after her brief rendezvous with her new half employee, and after a quick "Good luck Guido," Angela took off left down the corridor, then entered a lift - pressing the floor G key. This was the special part. Floor 'G' was just the middle floor. It was the floor where imports arrived, and exports left. But, on that floor, a separate lift had been designed by the facility's creator. It held buttons that were all minus numbers - the staff's joke, considering no guests went downstairs.

Entering this lift and hitting the minus 3 floor key, Angela walked briskly past several snarling creatures - a minotaur, a hippogriff, a Liger for some reason was being kept here. Next to an equine creature called a Kirin - a chinese deer like creature that was known to drag victims to drown - Angela started preparing a containment chamber for the centaur - a little hay, some silver shackles and chains prepared, and of course some troughs of food. But, since the upper half was human, Angie then took these out and put up a notice with the feeding rota on the steel door. The whole unit was made of strong, solid walls, and a door that was just as tough but had a slit in the top. All chambers had some form of window - except the vampire ones - and some were even just rows of bars. Those were for the creatures that required lower security.

Angela stepped out of the chamber, and fetched a clipboard from the storage room. She then started to fill out a chamber subject form to detail the requirements - although it was unneeded until Guido and the centaur returned. Over her walkie talkie, Angela addressed Guido's GPS system. "Guido. This is Porter. Do you read me?" she asked, and then released the button to wait for a reply.

Guido had already reached the lobby of the facility, and was about to finish signing a form which was a necessity when taking part in such a life-threatening operation, when his GPS beeped, before the familiar voice of Angela rung out from his pocket. He lifted it out and balanced it in the palm of his hand before replying. "Yes I read you." Well, to be honest, he hadn't read anything. He had heard her talking though. What ridiculous jargon, Guido thought, not really seeing the point in this endless complication. He leant against a nearby wall, and a moment later, elaborated.

"I suppose you have a tidbit to inform me about?"

Adrastos watched the wyvern, as it flew towards him, with his red gaze. He lazily flicked his long tail, the feathers at the end rippling as air rushed around them, and as the sun hit his back his feathers and fur appeared to be more golden then brown. He dipped his head in return to the white beast.
"Greetings."

He gentlely banked so he was facing the direction of the forest. Adrastos used the air currents to glide along only beating his wings a few times.

Alek squirmed around for a moment before swinging around Bhaltair's shoulders and onto his back, sitting with both his legs on the centaur's right side.

"So, how's life been treating ya anyways? found any more like you?"

The 5000-year-old had not seen any centaurs other than Bhaltair in the last 2 millenia.

Bhaltair frowned at Alek's change of positioning onto his back, but he neither said or did anything to stop him. The centaur had very strict conditions under which someone - or something - would be allowed onto his back. Luckily for Alek, he was one of the few people Bhaltair let ride on him. At his friend's question the horseman's shoulders sagged & he exhaled slowly. For a while the only sound was the steady beating of his hooves upon the ground. When he did speak, his deep voice held suppressed emotion.
"I haven't found any of my own kind for a few hundred years now. They were deep within the forests of Nothern America & were very timid & secretive. I have never known my race like that..."

"I'm sorry to hear that Bhalt..."
Alek looked up at the cloudy sky, the outline of the crescent moon was just visible through a hole in the cloud, an ominous reminder to what he knew would eventually bring destruction to the world.
He shook it off and looked around, noting an abundance of concrete and fences.
"It's a shame, but we mustn't dwell on it any longer, by the looks of things we're near some kind of entrance."
