Riyo's smile slowly returned as he listened to him, hand gently squeezing his arm. It was a genuine answer. He didn't say something thoughtless like "your smile" or "the way you do this". "Thank you... For always being honest with me."
Riyo became awestruck when they walked into the restaurant. It was so fancy... "Wow... I've never been anywhere like this before..." Not that her 'family' was particularly poor, but her mom didn't take her out and show her around like a trophy daughter. Quite the opposite, actually.
It kinda made her feel out of place. Rich people were always portrayed as judgmental... And she was wearing raggedy boots. Oh well.

For some reason that one little word struck a cord Klyde had been ignoring. Honest. While what he said was very honest and true....he was still lying to her. He liked being with her, but it wasn't that initial like that had drawn him to her. No, it had been a clever plot thought out by the queen of the hive. "Y..yeah, no problem." Klyde put on a mask of a smile as he walked up to the host desk. "I have a reservation under McBane." He supplied the information.
The woman at the host desk gave a pretty smile as she looked at Klyde, her eyes batting a bit more than they needed to before she looked at the list. "Oh, Mr. McBane. Table for...two?" She looked beside him and saw Riyo, her eyebrow quirking slightly at the sight of the girl. They didn't look like much of a pair. He was handsome, well dressed while she was a little under dressed with what looked like combat boots.
Putting on a superficial smile the girl grabbed some menus. "Right this way, I'll show you to your table." Gesturing for them to follow she led them into the restaurant and to a table not far from the fireplace. It nice and warm here but not overly so.
Moving around the table Klyde pulled out a chair gesturing for Riyo to sit down. Apparently he was going to play up the part of the gentleman tonight. Wonder how long that would last.

Riyo sort of hid behind Klyde as the receptionist shot her a look. It had been momentary, but Riyo had gotten enough "what the ******** are you doing here?" glares to know what they were.
As they followed the b***h woman to the table, Riyo smiled when Klyde offered her a chair and promptly sat down in a lady-like manner. "You come here often or something?" She asked, thinking about how the woman had said his name.

"I may have been here a couple of times," Klyde admitted as he pushed her chair in and took a seat of his own. He barely took note of the hostess who looked ready to jump him if given the opportunity.
Placing the menu down in front of Klyde the girl stooped rather low to give him a view but was disappointed when Klyde didn't even look in her direction. He seemed far to interested in the blonde tramp across from him. Tossing the menu down in front of Riyo she turned back to the vampire placing a hand on his shoulder. "Is there anything I can get you in the mean time before your waiter comes?" She would make sure it was a waiter and not a waitress.
Klyde quirked a brow at the hand on his shoulder and finally turned toward the hostess. "No, that's fine." He looked at the hand a moment longer before shooing it away and turning back to Riyo. "So what do you think you would like to do afterward, movie or club?"
Despite being ignored the hostess gave a nod. "Very well, just let me know if you need anything." And with that she walked off a little more swing in her hips as if that would gather his attention.

Riyo jumped a little as the menu was practically flung at her, ears falling back against her head. Looked like she already earned some contempt from the rich people and all she'd done is sit down. Opening the menu, she tried to hide behind it, peering over and watching the waitress practically swoon over her date. Honestly, she was surprised that Klyde didn't pay her a lick of attention. "b***h." She mumbled as the hostess walked away, eyes narrowed.
As she glanced over the menu half-heartedly, Riyo thought about his question. "I dunno. What kind of clubs are around here?" She didn't really feel like sitting through a movie in her 'sunday best'. It did sorta make her wish she had some appropriate shoes for this, though... Maybe they wouldn't be so quick to judge her.

Klyde hadn't really heard Riyo's muttered comment though her eyes looked a little upset. "There are a few different kinds. Some cater more toward dancing, some toward music, and some even have shows." Though he wouldn't elaborate on what kind of shows. In truth they could be rather low brow. "Are you okay?" He asked with a slightly worried look. Leave it to the male race to be completely unobservant at times.

Leave it to Klyde to not realize when some hot woman was hitting on him. When Riyo was called out, she forced a smile. "Nope. Nothing at all. Everything is perfect, actually." She may not like the people here, but he had put a lot of thought into this, so she'd be damned if she didn't at least act happy. "Any of those clubs you haven't been to?" She phrased it as if she wanted him to have a new experience too, but in all honesty she just didn't want to be confronted by other McBane enthusiasts.

"Only the ones I'd worry that you might wake up in a tub of ice later on with a few things missing. Not that you'd have much to worry with me around." His comment seemed to gather the attention of an older couple near by. They seemed a bit surprised but were quick to focus back on their food. "Maybe we'll stop by a few different ones, see which one you like best. Some are easier to get drinks at then others." He grinned.
"Why hello," A tall, rather slim looking waiter walked up to the table, paper and pencil in hand. He had a very clean cut look, hair styled in a way that showed he had put a great deal of time into it. Did he possibly have make-up? It was hard to tell in the lighting. "I'll be your waiter today, my name is Troy. What can I get you to drink?" He looked to Riyo warmly, his smile never faltering. At least there might be one nice person in this place.

Well damn. There went her hopes of avoiding more bitches in heat. "Already planning on liquoring me up, huh? Well, I think I learned my lesson last time I drank around you." She spoke with a smirk. was she kidding? It was hard to tell...
When their waiter finally showed up, she let out a relieved sigh. thank God he wasn't a she. "I'll just take a coke." Hopefully this place wasn't too fancy for that. Though she couldn't help but smile at what would most likely be the only friendly face she saw besides Klyde's tonight. Maybe it'd be enough to pull her through the insanity she could only imagine.

"Alright," Troy nodded writing down the order. "And how about for you, S..Sir." He stammered a bit finally getting a good look at Klyde. Subconsciously he took a step closer, his eyes seemingly focused on the unbuttoned portion of Klyde's shirt.
"No I don't," Klyde's eyes shifted toward the waiter as he got a little too close. "I don't need anything." He shifted uncomfortably for a moment focusing back on the menu he wasn't going to order a thing from. They didn't serve blood or anything like that here. He would have to wait to either go to a club that catered to his kind, which there were a couple, or back at the hotel.
"Are you sure," Troy smiled. "We have quite a selection to choose from." He leaned forward to flip Klyde's menu over sticking close as he pointed out the drinks naming them off. Klyde at that point was sweating bullets, his face the perfect picture of being uncomfortable.
"N...no I'm fine." Klyde scooted away a little, turning a pleading look toward Riyo for help.

Riyo's lips curled in as she stifled a laugh, quickly hiding her face behind the menu so she didn't offend. So THAT'S why he was so nice. For a moment, she thought about letting him suffer since that would be the majority of what she'd be doing tonight, but...
"Honey, this was so thoughtful. Our anniversary dinner in such a fancy restaurant? You really shouldn't have." She spoke thoughtfully, a warm smile on her face so the waiter didn't think she was trying to shoo him off. Reaching over, she took one of his hands and squeezed it softly. Hey, in this generation, anything was possible. And she looked older than she was anyways.

Oh? So they were married. A bit disappointed the waiter pulled away though he continued to smile. "Congratulations on your anniversary." He chimed. "If you're sure you don't want anything then I'll put in the young lady's drink order and be right back." Still just as cheerful the waiter walked off.
Klyde gave a relieved sigh when the waiter was finally gone. He had been a little too close for far to long. "Thanks for the save. Anniversary?" He grinned leaning forward, still holding Riyo's hand in his. "I do like the way you call me honey though."

Riyo nodded to the waiter, keeping up the warm smile until he was out of sight. With a sigh, she let it go and shook her head. "I could've come up with much worse things. That seemed like the sanest, though." She explained, rolling her eyes at the 'honey' comment. "Don't get used to it. I still hate nicknames." Her hand squeezed his, a real smile shining through. She guessed she could get used to this kind of thing... Though it didn't have to be an expensive restaurant... Just something calm and quiet like this.

"So no honey bunny then?" Klyde teased.
The waiter was quick to bring back Riyo's drink and take her order. It seemed like no time that her food was brought out and set down in front of her, the waiter careful to warn her that the plate was hot.
"Is there anything else I can get you both?" He smiled warmly.
"N...no," Klyde still seemed a little leery.
"Very well," The waiter gave a nod before he hustled off to help another table.
Not having much else to do for the time, Klyde fiddled with his silverware and watched Riyo with interest.

Riyo didn't even respond to the 'honey bunny' question, figuring a 'no' would just give him a reason to come up with another.
When the waiter sat her order in front of her, she thanked him and shook her head when he asked if there was anything else... Now, how did this little ditty go again?
Very quietly, she took her napkin and folded it in her lap, making sure to sit up straight just as she was taught. She had proper silverware memorized as she picked up the right fork and knife, cutting the meat slowly and into smaller pieces. It was like the behavior was ingrained into her skull, though she'd never exhibited it before. when she finally did take a bite, she smiled and sighed. "That's amazing." Probably the best steak she'd ever had.
