Alanna watched Eon for a moment, making sure he really wasn't going to move. Then slowly, ever so slowly, her rump and then her tail became visible.
She took a moment to let herself get used to this. Slow and steady was more her pace; rushing tended to result in her attempting to merge with the local flora.
Alanna stopped about where Eon had first been sitting, juuust fast enough away that she could contain the urge to bolt.

Eon couldn't help but half smile to himself as Alanna slowly crept to the spot where he had been previously sitting. Seeing as how she'd come this far, Eon decided it was time to apologize for spooking her into the bush. And then ask about her feelings for the moon? Nah, he'd save that for later, one step at a time for now.
"I'm sorry if I gave you a fright earlier as I approached." Eon said. "I didn't know anyone was out here." He slowly wrapped his tail around him. Since Alanna seemed so tense, Eon was being very careful not to make any sudden movements or do anything that might frighten her away. Things seemed to be going slow with Alanna but he didn't mind, the night was still young and Eon had plenty of patience.

"Ah, that's alright," Alanna said, voice whispery soft. "I've just always been a little bit shy." Which was an understatement, really. Her muscles were still a bit tense, almost fight and flight. This was always the hardest part, learning to relax around others.

Shy? Was that why she was out here all alone? Eon knew he could be a bit timid sometimes but he always had his mother, Era, and his best friend Veto to hand around. Did Alanna not have any friends or family? Usually all the foxes he met out on there own were bold and courageous, not deathly shy. How did she survive on her own like that? How did she hunt or find food or function? Eon's mind couldn't comprehend the idea of such a flighty fox living on their own.
"There's nothing wrong with being shy." Eon said with a soft smile. "But why are you out here all alone? Don't you have any family or friends to keep you company?" Or safe from harm, he added in thought. Most vixens, or foxes for that matter, should never be left alone at night. Although Eon loved the night, it could be dangerous to be out in the dark all alone.

"I have a brother, but we get separated a lot," she answered, voice still quiet. She wondered what the purpose of the questions were. Why did this fox care if she had someone with her or not? Most foxes cared only about their families or tribes, and she was neither to Eon.
Maybe if she had been bolder, she would have questioned the male in return. Wasn't everything he asking applying to him as well? She couldn't tell if he was part of a group or not, and was too shy to get any closer to try to get a scent off him other than his own.

"Oh really?" Eon asked interested. "Do you need help finding him? Or do you mean to get separated?" He lifted his head a little to speak with her. It was good to know that she did have family, even if they were separated. Perhaps her brother was out looking for her. Eon wondered if he'd ever see his own brother or sister again.
She still seemed tense but not nearly as much as when he first met her. Eon was happy that she was slowly relaxing around him. He bet that they could probably be friends one day. They seemed to have a lot in common. So far they both liked the moon (Well, he thought she liked the moon, he wasn't sure on that one yet....) and they both had at least one sibling. The male was willing to bet they had more in common than just those few things.

Alanna shook her head softly. "I could find him without too much trouble." While she and Harle weren't identical identical, with him being a male and her a female, they were still so similar that they worked much in the same way of twins. She had an instinctive feel for his current health and general position.
"It's good for him to be without me sometimes, I just hold him back." It might have been true, it might not. The twins were on opposite ends of the personality spectrum.

It must be nice being able to find your sibling whenever you wanted. Eon could barely remember the last time he'd seen his siblings. Even if he was dying to see them, he had no idea where to even start looking for them. It was the second thing that Alanna said that really got to Eon.
"Separation can be a good time, yes, but I don't think you'd be holding him back." Eon couldn't see her holding anyone back really. She might need a little coaxing sometimes, but she didn't seem like she would really hold anyone back from anything. But then again, he had just met her, what did he know?

"Harle's very outgoing and energetic. He has to beg to get me to join activities." Yea, Alanna really did think she held her brother back. But it was sweet for Eon to attempt to cheer her up.
She did notice there was almost a wistfulness about Eon when he talked about siblings. Did he have family as well? Where they with him? Alanna didn't think she could stand more than one new fox at a time.

"Harle? Is that your brothers name?" Eon asked, looking at Alanna curiously. "He may beg you to join activities but I doubt you hold him back from doing said activities." There was a difference from simply wanting company in doing something and being held back from doing something. Eon wondered if Alanna had much self-confidence. At the time, it wasn't seeming likely. Perhaps he could help her work on that?
Eon shifted slowly so that he could rest his head on his paws but still talk to Alanna comfortably. He wondered if he was asking her to many questions and if she was getting annoyed with him but wasn't sure if he should ask.

Alanna shook her head again. "His name is Harlequinn. I just call him Harle, like he calls me Aly."
It had suddenly occured to her that Eon was the one doing all the talking, having to coax every bit of information out of her. Was he expecting more interest out of her than she was outwardly showing?
Eon had been so nice to her to far. Should she ask him a question? Internally she cringed at the thought. She just had to grit her teeth and do it though! "Do you- do you live by yourself?"
Hah! Even though her body tensed a little after asking, she was triumphant in her mind that she had finally had the guts to ask someone something about themselves, without her brother there! A major victory in her book, a major victory indeed!

She had a nickname? For a brief instant, Eon wondered if he'd ever be close enough to Alanna to call her by her nickname like her brother. He also wondered if he'd ever get to meet her brother. If they actually became friends for good, maybe he would. Taking a look at Alanna, it seemed like she was slowly warming up to him, which made Eon smile.
The question caught him off guard. Up until this point he had been the one doing the questioning. Was she actually interested, or was she just being nice? Eon shrugged internally at his own questioning. For whatever the reason, Alanna had asked him about himself and Eon could only see that as a good thing.
"No." The male responded, a bright smile appearing on his face as he thought of the family he lived with. "I live with one of my mothers and the Lunarie tribe. We have quite a few members, but don't worry, none of them besides me ever come out this far." Having gotten Alanna to calm down this far, he didn't want her to start getting overly nervous at the thought of a whole tribe showing up around her. Eon could see in his mind just how well that would go over.

A tribe lived around here?! Alanna found herself looking over her shoulders nervously. Whether they came this far or not, Alanna certainly wouldn't have wandered in this direction if she'd known it was tribe territory.
"I-I didn't know this was tribe l-land," Alanna stuttered, shrinking a little closer to the ground. What would happen if they found her here?

"Don't worry," Eon said to Alanna gently. "The Lunarie tribe is a very calm and friendly tribe. No one will bother you." As soon as he said it, Eon just had to wonder if he was in fact bothering the three toned vixen.
But it was true about his tribe. He doubted anyone would bother her if they knew she was just looking at the moon in such a beautiful spot. As long as she was okay and just passing through, there was no problem. And seeing as how she was so close to the boarder, it didn't really matter anyway.

Alanna looked at Eon with anxious fuchsia eyes. "How can you know," she asked, still worried. "The mood of a tribe changes with the moon. They're never just one solid temperment. How do you know they didn't enter into darkness while you were gone?"
By darkness Alanna meant a new moon. It was a fearful time of month for her, when her sight was at it's worst. She would stay hunkered down the entire night.
She also felt that she may have insulted Eon by calling into question his judgement on his tribe. All the foxes she'd met so far had been devoted to their families, and didn't like to hear of them casted in a possibly negative light. Her muscles tensed again.
